LowVM - $7 256MB Xen VPS in Colorado Springs

LowVM Surya from LowVM emailed me about their low cost Xen VPS that can host either Linux, FreeBSD or Windows 2003R2. If you go down to their website you will need to click on Windows VPS link, and you’ll see their “Small” plan starts at $4/month. That would be way too small for Windows, but the next step up, “Medium” is at $7/month and it comes with:

  • 256MB memory
  • 7GB storage
  • 300GB/month data transfer
  • Xen/SolusVM

You can run Windows 2003 in either Web or Standard Edition, in either 32bit or 64bit flavours. 2008R2 would require at least 512MB memory. Servers in Colorado Springs CO, and you can use their website for ping test. Looks like they might be reselling Dewlance’s VPS offerings. Domain registered in March this year with WHOIS protection, and both NS on the same box.

      Their homepage seem to be on a shared /reseller hosting account sold by Dewlance, who runs their hosting on a VPS powered by ThrustVPS :)

      LowVM -> Dewlance -> ThrustVPS -> IOmart
