I have a 3GB OpenVZ with n3Servers, for about a month now and the speed test sits around what is offered 900mbps down, 400mbps up. (That never changed)

However the hardware is a absolute crawl. I’m only running 1 website, using about 300mb ram.. hardly 1% cpu. I can’t connect via SFTP because it simple times out, Putty takes a good minute to log in. Even the SolusVM control panel takes a good 3 minutes to load the VPS’s stats. I went so far as to try the Serial console yesterday and it failed to create a session three times in a row.

It ran good at first but became sad quick. I am extremely disappointed in what seemed like a hopeful, quality service at first.

If Staff @ N3Servers would like to reopen conversation about this a ticket I opened up a while back is #177202 when I first had issues.

Can’t say I’ve had the same experience. On the contrary, my server with n3servers has been one of the fastest performing and one of the most responsive.
Maybe bad luck? I am sure Tim/co will make it alright with you :)

I’m in the same boat…same package. Had it for about 2 months and it is barely usable. Support says “If you VPS takes more load it will be suspended automatically”…wat? I’m running openvpn, sshd, nginx, and rtorrent with SIX low traffic torrents and it crashes/suspends weekly. The exact same setup at home on a Raspberry Pi 3 has been up for almost 18 months. SSH in to do anything…takes 30 seconds for the login prompt to appear.

Pretty irritated I wasted a bunch of time configuring this setup that I guess I’ll just write off as a mistake…it’s just too slow and unreliable to be much good for anything.

What kind of performance should we expect from 1 CPU core?

    • We utilize Intel Xeon E3 processors, so more than 3 GHz per CPU core :)

A couple months back, I bought a server from n3servers and I’m pretty pleased with what they have to offer. The server works as advertised/claimed and the support team has always been easy to reach whenever I had any questions. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a server host.

I tried to purchase one of these and was immediately flagged for “fraud”. Was asked to open a ticket and I’m waiting to hear back after one round of escalations. :-(

I tried signing up for an account. Unfortunately, my order was flagged and I was required to submit a ticket. Once I submitted a ticket, I was told that my request would have to go to a higher level of support. Still waiting for a response.

    takes years till someone responses.
canceling of services doesn’t seem to work. ( takes another year)

also: only outdated versions of guestOS.

a terrible way of losing money as a customer

    DO NOT BUY THERE!

I think I made a mistake getting the 3GB OpenVZ with n3Servers. Just installing Ubuntu, and apt-update has been running and waiting for over 30 minutes now.

Did a small disk io test and its approx 30kbps

    Totally unusable

Poor web interface. Can do nothing except reboot the server. What if I want to change OS or start again with a clean OS? Am I missing something?

  12. TomMK:

I was missing something – they have 2 interfaces, a portal and a control panel. Bit confusing but anyway.

Hardware is an absolute crawl, cannot even do basic functions. I would stay away.
