    • It works on routers of the datacenter, so the node is still able to work beside the attack.

  10. So, starting off with a full disclosure, NanoBit provides me with a free VPS as a node for the gaming network I manage. That said, none of this is false or exaggerated.

    Pros:
    – Support team is great with keeping in contact. They had an issue with one of their servers in France, networking, and let me know that I was getting my box moved 4 days before it happened. Just this makes me love them.
    – Their panel, if a bit slow at times, is well designed and isn’t a theme I’ve seen on any other provider. I’d say that putting effort to being unique is a plus.
    – Speeds on nodes haven’t been an issue like @Rozdev

    Cons:
    – They run out of stock constantly.
    – (Personal) They’re support isn’t 24/7, which bugs me as I’m in the US. Thankfully, I’m up late most nights.
    – Small networking issue with the image I was using, fixed now, but annoying.

All in all, I don’t have much to complain about. They’re support is plesant, and nice to work with. Hope it stays that way.

After I have been trying to get a VPS service from nanobit I still am having problems to even CONFIRM my payment. It is bullsh*t that they don’t want to take my money and get me my service. And they take an eternity to answer back their tickets. I wouldn’t reccomend them eventhough they seem like selling cheap, they actually DON’T sell anything saying that your ISP doesn’t match and flagging your order blah blah…

After I have got my support about them I still do think that Fraud check is kinda buggy but I am kinda ashamed of their fast support and replies eventhough after I have wrote this comment. Yes it did took me a while to get the service it is about website and not with service team. Now I should thank them for their good performance on their servers after I have tried over 20 VPS services and Nano is one of the best VPS provider with CPU performanced servers. And for their price they are the best I found after a while

I ordered a server on Saturday night, my intention was to get the lowest end server and upgrade it when I had finished my testing.

On Saturday night I realised I could not use FUSE which I depend on, and opened a support ticket with a link to LEB suggesting they may need to enable something their end as the “VMs” are OpenVZ based.

Without any further messages, at 09:34 my container went down “The system is going down for halt NOW!”, I wasn’t too concerned by this as assumed they were working on making FUSE work, about an hour later I log into the server again and noticed the SSH keys had changed. The server had been reinstalled. At that point I raised a new high priority issue, asking them what the hell was happening and explaining that you can’t just reinstall clients VMs without notice or updating the client what is going on.

Three hours later I get a reply saying they had a problem, and were working on it. They did not provide an update. Five hours later I wrote in the ticket explaining how the entire situation is unacceptable. About 7 hours later I got a reply saying that FUSE would not work (without an apology for the data loss or lack of communication).

I asked if the VM could be moved, the answer was then a clear no.

This is not so important, but replying in a ticket with “we will not try it no more” is extremely unprofessional also.

My experience of Nanobit is very limited obviously, I was a user for less than 2 days and will not proceed with using them in the future. I strongly advise against anyone else doing so also, maybe they will be great if you don’t require FUSE (although wiping/rebooting a server without notice is never acceptable).

I tried to buy the “LEB Medium”, but ran into the fraud check just like everyone else it seems. Was it because I wanted to pay in bitcoins? Who knows. So I can’t pay, and none of the “live chat” people are online. This does not exactly inspire confidence in their service, so I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere. I’m not going to bother with their support just to become a paying customer.

We have done our up most to help you with your server, it was you breaking/freezing it FOUR times. We have asked you for 5 euro for a managed server help as these VPS servers are unmanaged and yet we have HELPED YOU FOUR TIMES, each time for free. Yet you seem not to grasp that our support can only do so much and we are not yours to do as you wish. If you want we can post the whole conversation here on LEB and we will see who is right.

        July 16, 2015 @ 11:03 am | Reply
      • It needs a bit of clarification, doesn’t it?

First of all, we have provided you with your server as requested. You have also told us about your lack of experience.
        1. You’ve tried to install the GNOME desktop on the machine, and did something wrong during the installation -> container has been corrupted as you were trying to force reboot it during an installation of the software.
        2. One of our team members has reinstalled your server manually.
        3. You have broke it again, I don’t really know how.
        4. I personally helped you, after a talk on the live chat, firstly by reinstalling the broken, hanged up container, and secondly by installing your demanded packages and configuring them. That would be about 1:30-2 hours of help.(Steam Client, VNC, Desktop etc.)
        5. You have destroyed it for a third time day after second help attempt, to get the VNC working along with the Steam Client.
        6. When you have requested our help again to fix it, we have told you that the container is your own property, and you are responsible for the problems you have caused by yourself. We have offered you a managed VPS service for 5 pounds, just to cover the loss of our time, which was 5-6 hours at that moment. (Unmanaged service)

I wonder how would I feel if our control panel wasn’t work for real.

  23. Purchased a VPS on the 14th, after making payment there was an issue with the automation when setting up my box. I submit a ticket and 13 minutes later the server has been delivered. All specs meet what is advertised, I cannot believe the price these guys are offering this at. A+ so far.

I Was just someone who wanted to learn how thing work. Came across lots os doubts and problems (messed server up, install after install and whatsoever) and they always helped me, on everything, and never charging for it.

I closed the plann one day since I didn’t needed it anymore. The day I needed another plann I bought from them again.

The tickets sometimes take some time due to timezones wichit isnt a big deal, after all everyone gotta sleep. Even if it isnt 24/7. Good vibes there. Good prices too compared to other offers!

I’m afraid that you had no idea about using your own server and you somehow managed to make it unresponsive for 4 times. That’s quite a skill to break the same thing over and over again without learning anything.

        @Alex

It was caused by PayPal that has changed his charset and did not notify us about it.
        Payments are fixed now.

Then please check your Paypal account!
I got no feedback on my support ticket from you.
And my nanobit account tells me that I have Overdue Invoices.
The server I paid for (2 times) was deleted by you… If a service provider is not even able to read his paypal account, how can he offer a reliable service?!

          July 29, 2015 @ 4:58 pm | Reply
          • vps_enthusiast:

Can you comment on that, Rafal? Did Alex indeed paid twice into your account, you’ve failed to collect payment and subsequently deleted server he paid for?

And on Marcus’ comment above re unauthorised container deletion (re: FUSE). I rely on tun/tap and fuse on my servers and wouldn’t like to find myself in such situation – his accusations are pretty heavy.

@Alex, can you provide screenshot proving that you’ve paid twice for the service and the server you paid for (twice) was deleted? And, tbh, in such case – when you have proofs – I would charge that back and raise dispute.

It’s rather dealbreaker to me (personally I find deleting customers’ servers without prior authorisation in case where unsettled support ticket REGARDING such payment is raised, without asking client for intermediate proof (until your problems with paypal are resolved)) and I bet most of the people looking for low end box would rather pay more or get something “slimmer” than fell scammed. Personally I like paying in bitcoins because it’s fastest (and because I like this technology – hey, I even buy pizza and beer with bitcoins!), so I couldn’t probably even prove that I indeed paid…

Looking forward for your reply (and replenishing of KVM server too ;) (and to be honest I would like to see “double” option for twice the cost, or for some customisation – like: still 2GB RAM and 2CPU’s but instead a bit more of disk – because it looks like perfect VPS for backup purposes).

            August 13, 2015 @ 11:36 am | Reply
          • Yes, I think I should comment on here.

Alex case was one of many connected with the WHMCS update and PayPal’s IPN charset.
The problem was that PayPal has default setting of Western Countries charset, which is obviously not UTF-8. This caused a situation in which the IPN could not confirm the payment automatically. We have solved it, and resolved the Alex case too.

Marcus has requested a FUSE filesystem to be installed on his server, we have tried to enable it on the node and the server that he was using. Eventually it caused a container corruption, so we’ve had to reinstall the container. I would like to mention that we were working under his request, and he should be aware of a data loss risk.

I feel like you didn’t respond to my questions:
“Did Alex indeed paid twice into your account, you’ve failed to collect payment and subsequently deleted server he paid for?”

I am not asking whether there were some problems or nor, but rather if you’re delete your paying customer account (and subsequently: server and his data) because you couldn’t sort some WHMCS/Paypal issue and were still processing deletions automatically (not preventing them even after receiving ticket from client saying that something is wrong)?
That’s good that you’ve resolved Alex’ case, but the question was different.

And regarding the Marcus issue: yes, you’re were working on his request, that was something else that caused his (and my) concern.

            Thank you, anyway.

WARNING! There have been a number of incidents surrounding nanobit.pro recently. Their support department only responds occasionally to high-priority tickets in any department and customers are being charged for stored objects they (and nanobit.pro) cannot seem to remove. Right now, it would be unsafe to trust nanobit.pro for production or even non-production use until such time these issues have been taken care of.

CAUTION! Just got done with a Paypal dispute with Nanobit because they deleted my servers 2 days after I paid my bill and then ignored my support tickets. Pawel Mrozinski, their head support “tech”, is VERY rude and took 2 days to reply to my HIGH Priority ticket about the situation. I told them I wanted a refund after they deleted my servers and Pawel Mrozinski told me I would NOT get a refund from them. The only reply I finally got from “IONetwork Limited” (nanobit) on the Paypal dispute was “Ruda pizda” when the gave me my refund. This is after a long line of problems with this “business”. Watch out for random charges, as some links on their site will auto bill you without any warning or indication that it is a “Buy Now” link or even how much they will charge you. Just unprofessional, and immature site design. The owner Alex Jarmoszuk, is no help either. He lets Pawel Mrozinski rudely handle most support tickets. I have no doubts these rude snake oil salesman will come on here and try to smear me as that is just what they do. Regardless… USE CAUTION!!! You have been warned.
