Click the ordering link, and you will see it’s 3 EUR, not 5 EUR.
      What else is wrong here: the ordering page says you get 2 IPv4 on both KVM plans (and not 1);
also DDoS protection is not offered on those, not “500Mbps DDoS Protection” as in LEB post.
As quite often recently, Liam does a lousy-quality post with next to no fact checking…

realy good offer. but you all should better read the their TOS… IRC, Gameservers, VPN are not allowed. And as I understand torrent is also not allowed, even if the material is fully legal – like hosting a torrent-mirror for some linux stuff or so. and they can take you offline without a comment, and want to take a look at your data before you can go back online. lol…

As I see it, Im paying for the Traffic, so I will use it for what I want, as long it is legal. Thats why I will stay with a german provider…such restrictions are kinda rare there. damn you can run tor hidden services or an exit node on a german server, and they give a shit on it as long you are not disturbing the network…and well, its not allowed to monitor the customers data there in any kind, nor is it allowed to investigate the data on the machine – thats business of the police (and NSA lol), and not provider.

    but okay, nice try seflow…

    • Travis:

Yeah I agree, thought it was kind of weird for them to be restrictive about game servers. I mean, these are dedicated servers after all, not low end VPSs..

      • hi,
as IRC and gameserver we mean: IRC that host hacked botnet and copyrighted gameserver without proper license. Torrent is the same, ONLY legal material. For example we host some IRC and give to Azzurra IRC network (most important irc italian network) one server. For gameserver we host major international provider (gameservers, multiplay, hiperz etc)

Phil we are very reputabe provider, we accept only customer with good intentions and who need a partner who can help them in growing your business. We’re not interested to grow with “criminals”. Our network need to be clear as much as possible for everybody that decided to entrust their lives.

We’re growing fast with this philosophy, i want that when someone use seflow word people think about a business partner not a place where install botnet, run torrents etc.

I understand that this post will not be appreciated but this is our philosophy and i want be clear for anyone want to use our services for illegal activities

well I was just talking about legal content… its clear that nobody want to host here some kind of botnet. Im sorry but it seems I missunderstood your TOS then. maybe its not clear enough what you mean there?

      But whats with VPN?
I would like to run an openVPN server on the machine, to connect from home to the server and access the internet over it. background is, that around 70% of youtube videos are blocked in my country, so I cant watch them.

additionally I want to run my own mail server, file sync over bittorrent (like dropbox, just on own server), browser sync (firefox server), some caldav and cardav servers, mysql, webserver… and once a year I will realy use that 10 or 20TB traffic for hosting video recodings of an event.

everything of that is totally legal. but I honestly dont know if it comply to your TOS. and also the statement that you will monitor the network makes me sceptical, because privacy is very important for me, I dont want that some guys in a datacenter reads my emails, adressbook or something else, you know?

And a last technical question… Is it possible to install the OS manually? Like booting an .iso somehow and install it? I would like to setup a software-raid so it would be no problem when a disk fails.

      August 26, 2013 @ 8:41 pm | Reply
      • phil there are lot irc server/network up only to host botnet. I mean this, if someone is a script kiddies and create irc server to manage their shell/bot is not welcome on our network. I know that there are lot provider that close eyes.

VPN is allowed in our network.

Just to be clear we not install sniffer in our network, we had other 3000 dedicated server and 5000 vps, we cannot monitor all traffic. We just have some sensor in the network that, trought netflow analyze some know pattern, this mean some port used by kiddies to flood, or pattern used by spammer etc. Nobody will join in your server and read your data, privacy is very very strictly in italy! And, if you want be sure, go in ssl.

Weh ad o.s. remote install tool in our customer portal, you can reboot server, start vkvm, start rescue images (clonezilla or systemrescuecd) and perform remote reimaging (centos5-6 no raid-raid software, debian6-7 no raid-raid software, ubuntu 12.04/13.04 no raid, Windows 2008r2 web, standard, enterprise, Freebsd 9 no raid- raid software and some other o.s.).

For xeon server, as xeon3430, e3, e5 you had physical kvm (supermicro ikvm) where you can use java console and attach http/ftp remote image, or attack your local cdrom/ISO and start remote image as normal local installation.

        > it seems I missunderstood your TOS

Sorry but what is there to “misunderstand”?

“23. IRC: All IRC services, in whichever form, are strictly forbidden on SeFlow’s network.”

All services. In whichever form. Strictly forbidden.

If you run IRC, you can not feel safe on this provider with this ToS. It says exactly what it says, and you can be terminated at any moment, your only recourse then will be “but you told me I can on some forum”.

If the provider means something else than what is written in the ToS black-on-white letters, then they should absolutely amend the ToS, not hand-wave it with “yeah nevermind that doesn’t actually apply”.

        August 27, 2013 @ 3:18 am | Reply
        • phil:

yeah its a bit weird, dont know… But now I could order a box too, and we will see. Maybe that TOS have to be reworked, who knows, but I see no reason to sell something to a customer just to set him offline short time later… that would be just waste of time, and no company would do that for 30 euros or so.

are you kidding me? so frivolous…

and i said “cancel my order and repay” yes, they did. but they threw the money on my head. any apology, any information by email; nothing. i cant login to control panel and saw paypal repay.

    chuck out!

now, you can sell something; you may be a big company. but that is so irritating behavior…i would recommend to pay attention to those who are going to buy. they are failed to service, support and politeness…

  26. Hi Salih,
i’m very sorry for the delay but we had issue with the courier that for holidays had some delay delivering new chassis. Our supplier shipped on 20 August and we not received yet. I called courier and the promise me delivery in DC for tomorrow, so we start delivery remaining queue list. I say tuesday is true, but in the ticket i only ask you another 24 hours. You decided to not accept it and ask full refund, and this is what we did. I canceled account and refunded. I not “threw the money on your head”, only click “refund button” in the paypal….

I really not understand why do you think that we are rude, you opened a ticket saying that you’re impatient because is your first dedicated server and i promised all my best to speed up process. I spend my time teaching you on raid and explain you strengths and weaknesses about raid 1 and raid 0. I changed 3 times configuration on disks becuase you’re not sure what configuration choose. I refunded you when you asked cancellation, sorry but what you expected by a company?

I apologized here and in the ticket for this 24 hours delay, but unexpected can happen above all in august where most supplier are closed.

I’m sorry that you find wrong, but we did all our best and 24 hours delay in the delivery time i think can happen to every company.

  37. @Matteob, is this right to blacklist an entire country for racist motives? Romanians are blacklisted.. so i cannot buy a server from you.. because i’m blacklisted.

Just ordered a dedicated..but they are confused with this, telling me, NO Promotion comes with….
(((To receive the 1Gbps uplink port, write LEB-PROMO in the comment box, on the order form.))))

In one, what order form? There is no such thing by them to fill up…
and second: sounds like, they dont know about it by themself…

without 1 gbps i will not take it.
