I keep seeing companies with 4+ year old Ubuntu ISOs (and nothing newer). What’s going on? Ubuntu 12.10 is already unsupported and 12.04 has months left. What’s the deal? Is there something I’m missing?

We do have newer ISOs available (and you can request your own), however our billing system truncates the list and only shows the older ones. We have much more available in SolusVM.

I’ve always wondered, as a corollary, why providers don’t patch the billing systems to truncate the older ones instead of the newer ones. :)

Also, it always feels irresponsible to me that unsupported EOL distributions are even offered without having to make a custom request… Providers should be encouraging users to make good choices; I’m cognizant that there are people with legitimate needs, but more often people are just following years-old directions they found online when they select an obsolete OS. :(

How strict is the use of “Adult Content”? ie. Streaming, Online Playback, Downloading of such content. This is all within legal laws and ages of course.

    • SimpleNode:

*hosting adult content. Streaming, online playback and downloading is all OK.

Apologies for the ambiguity. We will clarify in future posts.
