We don’t use the net2ez datacenter, we use QuadraNet in Los Angeles.

why is the 2gb cheaper as the 512 mb?

    April 21, 2013 @ 9:40 am | Reply
    • Damien:

That’s because the 2Gb is OpenVZ and the 512mb is KVM.

So, the OpenVZ one is oversold then?

        • Damien:

Our nodes in LA have ~42Gb of ram. It isn’t overselling if you actually have the resources available for the end user to use. Any provider with OpenVZ will oversell – otherwise it wouldn’t be profitable. You won’t notice at all with our nodes.

Just saying that using OpenVZ doesn’t necessitate overselling, which is what you indicate in your explanation.

  3. What specification for KVM node? KVM plan bandwidth quiet low though.

We use two Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5570 @ 2.93GHz for a total of 8 cores and 16 threads with 42GB of ram on each node. Our servers also have 1Gbps ports.

        • I believe they are quite high spec as they allowed me to run gameservers no problem. They must be 64GB ram or more.(Just guessing here, no guarantees.)

  4. Can you get additional IPs after you have bought the VPS?

    April 21, 2013 @ 11:42 am | Reply
    • Damien:

Yes you can, please open a ticket with our sales department. IPv4 is about $2 a month, and IPv6 is free.

  6. Are running gameservers allowed with the OpenVZ one? I am thinking of selling managed gameservers with that host(On a begineer scale of course. 4 or 5(128MB each). Nothing big.).

Do I need to get a separate reseller host for that?

  7. Customer:

Can you assign an IPv6 block to customer?

    April 22, 2013 @ 6:47 pm | Reply
    • Damien:

Contact our sales department. We can assign IPv6 addresses, but we limit the number of addresses per VM to 20.

  10. I have been using SupremeBytes services for the last couple of months and I can confidently say that they are one of the best VPS hosts that I have encountered on this site.

I have tried their KVM and OpenVZ nodes both being utilized separately for different amounts of time and I was overly satisfied with the quick service and great stability of their networks.

It is recommended that if you plan on doing some major hosting that you try out their KVM services. For example, I have recently migrated my entire website to their nodes in Los Angeles due to it’s overwhelming stability and speed. You can test it out at http://www.voyagersclan.com

However, if you don’t plan on doing a lot of hosting and you want a webserver or application server that serves it’s purpose and keeps very constant speed with stability. I recommend their OpenVZ services.

I started out using OpenVZ in their New Jersey location and eventually decided I would stick with them due to the great support I got from their team.

This is probably one of the only reviews I’ve ever wrote on this site due to my constant cycling through different hosts trying to find a good, stable one. But like I said above, this is a GREAT company and the prices are more than decent.

Give it a try guys! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I have two VPS through them, both a KVM & OpenVZ and am very happy!

The systems are rock solid. Yet to have any down time, aside from my own tinkering. I had a vmware-based vps prior to getting the KVM and at least once a month the system was down for one reason or another.

  12. Chris:

This post mentions they allow IRC services at their LA location. Their ToS specifically states they do not allow any IRC services or IRC bots. If that exception were in the ToS I would have signed up :( I run a small personal IRCd and my current host (chicagovps) can’t seem to let my vps stay online for more than 5 days at a time >:C
