What is the processing and activation time for an order? I actually just placed mine last night and am now just waiting for my VPS to be online.

DO NOT order any service from this provider. They won’t provider service according the deal. I had a annual-paid service and just worked for 30+ days, and it’s unavailable any more.

Not too shabby tbh. I have a VPS with them for almost two months now, and hasn’t gone offline at all.

Performance is decently fast, and support has always been quick to revert back to my queries.

To answer your question: it works.

Actually, I just signed up and they stink. My old service is much better. I submitted a ticket almost an hour ago and still no response. Yet their frontpage claims: “We will be here whenever you need us or if you have a question. With true 24×7 support, our average ticket response time is under 20 minutes!” Yeah right. Getting a refund on this one…

I remember reading your offers before, then hit this on the TOS

    >> We allow to max out CPU for short periods of time. However, please make sure that 1-hour average CPU load should not exceed 20%.

That’s not a common restriction for KVM setups. What’s behind it?

So means not good to compile and stuff ?

      November 21, 2018 @ 12:41 pm | Reply
      • James Oakley:

Well, load average of 0.2 is pretty small. I have lots of uses for VPS that keep a load average well below 1, and may burst up to 1 for short periods (like compiling something). But can I keep the hourly average below 0.2 – it’s really pushing it even for light use.

!!scam!!!!!!!DO NOT order any service from this provider. No refund.Cannot install yimmp.Say you’re in the miner.

    • Jim G.:

Uhh, how is that a scam? Sounds like you’re just upset because they caught you doing something no one would allow. Their TOS clearly says they do not allow “Cryptocurrency mining or any other form of CPU mining”.

I also do not know of any VPS provider who does allow it. It is very disruptive to the performance.

Thank you TechVPS for keeping my VPS working solid and fast by kicking out the miners. There is seriously no point in mining anymore – the hype is over guys.

      November 21, 2018 @ 12:51 pm | Reply
      • kiko:

but I think yimp it’s just a “server/daemon” to miners connect and send their shares it’s not mining at all. It’s unfair judge without know about it. Just do you own research before accuse someone of doing something.

Ordered the KVM 6GB yesterday with this deal (who can pass up specs like that for only ~$7/month!!).

The Windows OS wasn’t installed properly after purchase (stuck on repair screen). I opened a ticket and they resolved it within a couple of hours. Honestly faster than I was expecting considering the price. SolusVM is great to use and the HTML VNC is fast.

Had another issue with no default credentials being issued. Submitted a ticket this morning and they responded within an hour.

Could be a config issue with their NY stack (their main datacenter is in LA). All that being said, I’m really impressed so far.

This is what I do, and it goes down about once every two months. The current outage is on day 5 right now. There is no response from the “24×7” support.

I have four different VPS servers from three companies, and this one will not be renewed, or ever recommended to my clients.

Initially had an awful start with the vps not configured properly. After a few tickets it was resolved and seemed to be working reasonably well for a while. Unfortunately, just recently, it stopped working again. I raised a ticket and they said I would have to set up from scratch again. I’d spent so long configuring it I’m just not going to bother. Stay away from this company if you want to remain sane!
