Via this WHT offer. ThrustVPS, formally known as Damn::VPS, is still having its opening special. Yes it did get a much needed face lift on the website. OpenVZ plans stay competitive at $5.36/month after the discount. Xen plans (both PV or HVM) require to prepay annually to fit into LowEndBox’s listing criteria. For $71.95/Year ($6/month) using promo code OPENING, you get the following VPS:
- 512MB memory/512MB swap
- 15GB storage
- 1TB/month data transfer
- Xen PV or Xen HVM/SolusVM
You get to choose between Los Angeles, Dallas or New Jersey. Also note that their Windows 2008 Xen HVM VPS also comes at the same price with no extra cost. A cheap way to get into Windows VPS? Although I am not sure what you can do with 512MB + Windows Server 2008…

I am their reseller, but their resell system need to upgrade. Because after I buy a vps from thrustvps but they dont creat a new SolusVM account for the new vps, so all the vps show and manager through my SolusVM account. That’s not good to reseller. I hope they will solved this problem.
Got a OpenVZ with $4/mon from a reseller http://www.hostermi.com/
No SolusVM,and my VPS was ‘said’ up with IP XXX,but i cannot ping it,and when the reseller mail damnvps,no reply for 2 hours
The only negative thing about ThurstVPS so far is that it only accepts Paypal. I cannot pay via Paypal :(
This is very bad.
I just signed up with them. Their automated process failed (my vps was unreachable, or wouldn’t boot on or something). After a support ticket and several hours, they transferred my account to a different node and it has been working great ever since.
Their prices seem really competitive for everything you get. Also, they do accept credit cards.
Does this include Remote desktop connection?
Yes, you can access any Windows VPS using remote desktop connection. This offer is over though. But Thrust::VPS are still pretty cheap for a Windows VPS. Starts at $7.95 per month for the same plan shown in this post.
yes..it is cheap for a windows vps
but is it worthed for having several downtimes like Asim and i had?
I’m just getting near the end of my first month with them. It honestly feels like no one is home. Server backups to the central backup do not work. I scheduled a backup 2 weeks ago and it is still showing as queued. Their website has PHP errors all over the place and the SolusVM admin panel can be very slow or simply won’t load at times.
The price is great if you’re wanting to go it alone. I haven’t “raised” (their words, not mine) any support tickets, so I honestly don’t know if there are humans actually running the show or if the machines have taken over.
