Why does the phone number have a lot of complaints of scams coming from it? http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-469-341-7742

    • Wow the phone has complaints that these guys are trying to pretend as an FBI to scam people?

Our servers are psychically located with ColoCrossing inside the Colo4 datacenter in Dallas, TX. As far the phone goes, this is newly assigned from Vitelity Communictions. If it was previously associated with fraud, I do apologize as we have no control over this.

Something is very suspicious about this offer.
Phone number listed on the whois has gotten a ton of spam complaints: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-469-341-7742
The whois address is the colocrossing Dallas DC address.

    Something isnt right

They ripped this design from LoveVPS:
    If you go here:
    https://cp.vpsnodes.com:5656/login.php

Then click the “Our Customers Love Us, This is what they say” In the top right
    It redirects you too: http://lovevps.com/testimonials/
And even in the bottom right of the vpsnodes solusvm it has LoveVPS Copyright

Here is something more suspicious, google the term “vpsnodes.com”
    No listings come up.
    1. It was never indexed by google
    2. They never ever ever posted anywhere else about their company. This is the first thing about them!

Def buyer beware on this one- I think the “LoveVPS” page footer is a classic…I mean, I guess he worked on it so much in one night, he prolly just glazed over the LoveVPS footer and links in his bid to “change it up a bit”…LOL

The whois info is not too big a deal for me — it should be more legit, but it’s kinda close (as in grenades/horseshoes). The scam stuff on the phone number listed is also another red flag.

Good deal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we never heard of them again or they were in the deadpool by xmas time.

@Spencer said “It was never indexed by google”

That’s because it hasn’t been around long enough to be indexed. DomainTools’ screenshot shows this domain was parked at Godaddy on May 23rd and the SSL on their main site wasn’t issued until July 6th (and the SSL on SolusVM is self-signed)

I love this page with several mentions (including email address) of LoveVPS : http://www.vpsnodes.com/kvm/

In all honesty, Editor did not do enough digging (LEB STANDARD) :(.
Site looks like it was thrown overnight. From whmcs to solusvm, everything is a pure mess. Whois is confusing and the funny bit is owner yet to response to this post which I am 100% sure they are aware of.

In all honesty, LEB community did a lot of the digging in old times and we like it. Just the way it happened in this thread. Some may ask why thread isn’t removed. What’s for?

I missed LEB threads which require some detective work and warn users in comments :) Things like that was always attractive to LEB readers. I hope it won’t get deleted because that’s the only SOURCE about this host at internet. Potentially bad things should stay archived the same as good :)

Especially because suspicious/bad business often return back under some other name and it’s good to have old things available for digging. With removal of their history we just make them favour and it’s harder to dig who they are and what they did in past.

I remember the old days. I do however see that the original post got updated :). Don’t have any issue when it comes to leaving it here. But the issue is, how did it pass initial fraud verification?

Whois, number, design; I mean everything shouts rotten fish.

        • Hello,

Although it wasn’t purchased directly from me. The person I sold it to confirms he has sold it on.

          That’s all I know.

Strange though that my ad hasn’t been posted which came in days after I sold this design.

  10. Why do hosts like this even get listed? :/

    July 19, 2013 @ 2:51 pm | Reply
    • Spirit:

Why not? Why do you want some site admin to be judge what’s good for you and filter informations potentially available to you? Here is thread, and here are comments.. and you to decide by yourself what’s good for you.

Those who aren’t so new here and have good memory most likely remember that digging for you wasn’t always admins work but community work. No one force you to blindly order vps. Do your own reseach and in case you find something interesting post it here for all other. We’re all involved with commenting.

Spirit, you are suggesting that the decision making should be left to the individual to such a degree that the website itself have no integrity. So for that matter, why do we not let providers freely post their own offers in their own words with no moderation? Can the reader not decide for themselves beyond the contents of the post?

Why even have the website then? Just make is a listing that anyone can add to and let that be that. It can run itself and generate revenue with no expenses beyond server and bandwidth.

The website used to hold some integrity. It no longer does. That is the issue.

I’m glad this is the kind of quality we can expect from a LowEndBox front page post…

When you go to make a payment, there is no details and I mean absolutely none not even a fake business name on their invoice. Also since I’m invoice number 18 I don’t think they’ve been around very long because I did this today..

who wants a reliable service he can chose a reputable provider, I am sure it will take only a few minutes to find one…

I do not know how much this host will last, if it is or it’s not a summer host, but well, if I remember right there was another guy in this situation, with the defective website I mean, azzavps, and I still see him around over on lowendtalk…

“Providers under 12 months old need to display valid public WHOIS information on their domain.”

    – Guy who has no record of his existence searchable by google uses address of the datacenter.
    – Website has barely been up longer than this post.
    – Colocrossing thinks this website will retain value for more than a few more months.

    Funny.

I signed up yesterday.. nothing but problems. They advertised nearly instant setup but the VPS didn’t come up until after I opened a ticket.. even then it wasn’t functioning correctly.. another ticket.

Today I come in and I find an email about an overdue invoice and my box suspended, apparently it was some bug with their automated billing system. They fix it.. I can ssh into it but it doesn’t show up in the web interface. Yet another support request.. so they create a whole new VPS without the discount applied and signed up for month to month after I already paid for 3 months.

The speed of the box was great, really enjoyed it for the first day.. and any of these problems by themselves wouldn’t be much of an issue, but combined its rubbed me the wrong way. The live chat I had before I bought from them claimed they already had a few hundred customers.. the id when I open my box in the control panel though is under 90.. It just seems all around fishy and I’ve not been impressed.

For their benefit though.. if you ask for a refund, they give you a refund. Thats something I was pleased with. There were no problems or issues with that.

I’m using a vps from this site since a month ago, and well i had a problem with the vps once, contacted the support and they fixed it in 5mins.
The vps is amazingly fast, maybe it does ping a little too much for a server (~150ms) but it’s not that bad.
I’ve even used it to download torrents, it reached 12MB/s in download and i was hosting 3 websites, working without any problem even during that ‘massive’ download.

  17. I signed up A VPS from this site for 6 months.
The fist problem is they offline my VPS for 8 hours without any reason or respone to me support ticket. After that they fixed it.
Now after a month. They now Suspend my VPS and said that my VPS was a target of DDOS attack. And ask me wait for a day they will reactive my VPS angain.
I have waited for 30 hours upto now. I submit a lot of support ticket but they don’t reply.
I hosted 2 wordpress blogs and 2 opencarts in this VPS, and all of them are just very fresh setup. I can’t find any reason for a ddos attack the site like this.
Yesterday, I loged in my SSH and do the “free -m” command and everything seems fine. RAM free 1200MB of 2048MB. But after a few second they said that my VPS was attack and they suspend it.
