Via this WHT offer. eNetSouth Cloud is currently having July special of their VMWare ESX4-powered Cloud VPS. The cheapest package costs $5.99/month and comes with
- 256MB memory
- 30GB storage
- 1000GB/month data transfer
- VMWare — any operating system
Servers are in Chincago with DFT CH1. Seems to be quite cheap if you are looking at a VMWare-based solution. Unfortunately I am unable to find any review about this company.

So with VMWare do you need to download a client to administer your VPS? or do you still use Putty?
From their website it has some OOB Flash program for you to connect to the console I think.

I asked for try account. They allow 3 days try when you back ground check is done. I wasn’t able to test a lot because of I went out of town this weekend . I was able to install lighttp.
I asked to try for 256mb with Centos which came with burstable of 501mb 30g and I got 100mbit speed. It’s quiet fast. I got 2 core CPU (Intel Nehalem Xeon E5xxx processor) .
Each vps instant was provided with a one IP address(public) and one one gateway IP (private only). Per their site information, your server will have High availability and load balancing capability.
Server is with Velocity Servers Inc and trace showed that it is with colocrossing.com (branch of Velocity server inc.) in DFT Chicago data center with 100% Cisco and no cogent.
It’s a cheap cloud plan I have seen.

This offer is so tempting. I hope they won’t vanish and continue to offer something like this next year.

I remember all these talks about VMWare ESX licensing was incompatible with so cheap offers. I wonder how they handle it.

@earl – You can SSH into your instance just like any other server.
@Erawan Arif Nugroho – No sir, we have not purposely banned IP’s just for your area. A while back we had quit a large amount of signup’s that originated overseas using stolen credit cards. We have other preventions in place for that now and we will be removing block denys soon. If you are interested email me brandonc@enetsouth.com and I will give you some free time for your trouble in being able to reach us.

@Jack – We plan to end this pricing at the end of July. However, it has been quite popular. We will have to review it and see how everything worked out and maybe offer something like this again in August.
@Vasya Pupkin – We are not going anywhere. We have been in business to the public for over a year. Building and testing way before that. We really did not advertise until March of this year. You are correct.. ESX Server is costly compared to the other open source VZ options out there. However, once the money is spent and you have to pay the licensing you sell to use to infrastructure. Small sales are better than the alternative of no sales. :)

I am using a VPS from ensCloud for sometime (less than a month). Here is my feedback –
1. I have received free upgrade on resources.
2. Servers are fast! and same goes for the network.
3. Have not really noticed any downtime yet.
4. VMware have some advantages, even I can use my own install media to install my OS remotely. I have tried it with a ubuntu mini install CD iso.
5. Usually the storage performance is very good – always 50MB/s+ write speed.
6. Support is also very good. I usually get my problems totally resolved within few hours during working time.
And finally many Thanks to Brandon, I have disturbed him a lot for all little problems (in addition to a support ticket) but he has taken care everything with sincerity.
The service is intermittent up for days and they give you to cancel your account without notice.
