Hi,
I am currently using one service listed on LEB but they moved their servers from US to UK and now I don’t see much content on netflix.
Are you blocked on netflix? Will you honestly recommend it for Netflix ?
You are probably confusing us with someone else, we have never moved to UK nor have we ever had any UK servers to begin with.
No no, I mentioned another service here on lowendbox, my question is in third line :)
I honestly dont know whether netflix blocks us, If I had to guess probably they do.
rDNS possible ?
Yes it is.
Does 10/year offer will last for some weeks/months more? Or only a few days?
I cant say how long this promotion is going to last, it depends on the amount of customers we get, probably another 2 or 3 days at the current rate.
OpenVZ going wild :)Someone still need it?
You didn’t mention the quantity of IPs included with packages !
1 ipv4 is included by default, ipv6 is available on request

Their welcome email includes a plain-text copy of your password. Good chance they’re storing it plain text also. That alone is enough to request a refund.
Tyler, no it does not. It even says:
For security reasons, we do not transmit any information such as usernames and passwords via email. None of our staff will ever ask you for any login credentials via email, only via helpdesk ticket.
Well yes they do, when you sign up, you get an email with your username and password.
I see what you are saying, yes your login for your billing area is transmitted in the first email you receive.
“For security reasons, we do not transmit any information such as usernames and passwords via email”
But yet they do…
It is very unlikely they are storing the password in plain text. The initial email is an exception because it gets sent during the account creation process before the password is hashed.
But yes, I do agree, these are not good signs. Not enough to ask for a refund though imo
Could you fix up the rng devices? Entropy on the servers created are very low (below 200)you may want to run rngd etc in the host node.
good suggestion, thank you
Yikes! I’m seeing 40% packet loss to your test IPv4 (from two different locations/networks) right now. IPv6 is OK, though.
Third location that doesn’t route through Cogent is fine, though. Ah, Cogent. We love how cheap you are, but we hate how cheap you are…
could you run a mtr and shoot me an email at support@servercheap.net, I’d like to check it out.
On its way.
It’s node.js compatible?
it should be yes
what is your refund policy?
5. Refund and Disputes: All payments to Servercheap are nonrefundable. This includes the one time setup fee and subsequent charges regardless of usage. All overcharges or billing disputes must be reported within 30 days of the time the dispute occurred. If you dispute a charge to your credit card issuer or payment supplier that, in Servercheap’s sole discretion is a valid charge under the provisions of the TOS and /or AUP, you agree to pay Servercheap an “Administrative Fee” of $25, and all active services will be terminated.

This is never a good sign for a reputable host.
Is there a ddos protection system?
No ddos protection?
Any winxp or 7/2015 iso?
Hi Josh,
Please let me know if credit card is accepted. I can only pay via international credit card.
Thanks.
Hi Akshay. Allow me.
“Currently they only accept PayPal”. Helps if you can read.
So, if PayPal accepts your “international credit card”, then you’ll be fine.
Even better. I just looked at their website.
“We accept all major credit cards and paypal.”
;)
Hi Shivanthi,
Are you part of Servercheap.net or you are a customer using their service ?
Thanks.
Are you hosting with Quadranet? This is what I got when I did a tracert

I have no idea why I keep seeing quadranet everywhere. Most of the VPS providers are hosted with them.
no we are not, we are both using the same provider
Hi Josh,
In the servercheap.net website it says credit cards accepted. But in this post it says you accept only PayPal. Please clarify.
Well, they seem to be reasonably good so far. The mail with tips on securing server was a nice touch. Generally transfer speeds seem good – as you’d expect given the datacentre.
checkout -> setup VPS -> few hour later -> full refund from servercheap.net.
Does the deal last forever?
no reply from CS.
Hi,
the deal wont last forever.
Full refund? What do you mean? You didn’t get their service?
Do you support fuse?
yes we do
Thanks, signing up
Signed up, went without a hitch, no complaints at all. Went with the $10 plan and everything works, it’s actually quite fast. Bargain if you ask me!
So, I ended up cancelling. Turned out they don’t allow running a Plex server, only reason I signed up. They were good about giving a refund though.
Took the plunge, invested 5 bucks and got a server, Installed Moodle and my benchmarks look good.
cpu mining allowed?
Hi, it is not allowed.
i see that vpn for personal use is allowed?
i there a limitation on use(i.e. no. user, geography, etc..), other than the bandwidth?
Hi, no other limitation other then bandwidth.
Why not use solusVM..?
This offer sound so good. please can I run a mail server on the $10 per year package.
Took the plunge. Bought 2 slots. Everything is great so far. Setup was almost instant, speeds are great. Would get a couple more soon.
So far it is working fine. More OS options should be there specially 32 bit version. Uploading own ISO if possible will make it real good.
Can I install Virtualbox Or VMware to install windows 10?
Hi, no you cant do that unfortunately.
Thank you Josh to your quick response.
But what’s about PlayOnLinux, can I run it to run charting tools?
Also, I’d like to know that is GPU info. I’m planning to connect by Remote Desktop.
Just got my second server at Servercheap. No complaints so far!
I get routed to Singapore for some reasons

for how many months, the offer is valid if i purchase ‘2core-2gb ram’ for $3/month now. I mean, do I want to pay more after a month or year? if i want to upgrade to next plan after some period, which plans are applicable, plans on lowendbox.com or on servercheap.com?
Can I run a game server on the vps?
Yes, I am running minecraft, no issues.
Impressed with the service, good performance, reliability, etc.
