You’re wrong. We have not banned. We did not receive the Provider Tag and there was a problem.
For Windows is good enough. If you want, you can buy the 2nd and 3rd plan.
He did a bad start in LET for posting an offer without the provider’s tag. The bad start was that he didn’t read the rules. But he quickly deleted the thread when members stated that. He is definitely not banned and he was really polite to his answers.
Hostigger, you should apply for the tag, IMHO. Your prices are more than fair and if your service is stable enough, I suppose that you will have success in sales.

Cogent is a server farm. They are reselling space on dedicated servers. Not that anything is wrong with that. Just make sure you use a payment method with buyer protection.

Why is it saying “(Minimal)” when selecting any other OS than Windows Server? What does it mean? Will I have less functionality compared to other VPS hosts?
It is only installed with the necessary software for Server. No unnecessary attachments are loaded. It is therefore faster and takes up less space.
The core systems will only be there. You will have the freedom (or responsibility) to add what you want.
In a way it is very good. You may like nginx. Why should Apache be there in that case? So, essentially there is no bloat in it.
As a tip, I will add:
Remember that only in a KVM, you will be able to update a Linux Kernel. This is not a problem at all. This leaves you with a stable kernel.
So, when you are googling up how to set up your server, Kernel updates will not work. This was one of the mistakes I did when I was a newbie.

Issues off hand, in the name of constructive criticism for the guy who made the offer, speaking as someone looking for a new VPS and who was initially interested in your offer:
1) Your TOS seems to have been written by you, not a lawyer. The English in it is quite poor and makes you come off as very unprofessional. It would almost certainly not be enforceable in a court because the “plain meaning” is at times rendered unclear. You don’t need to write like Shakespeare, but you might consider having a professional editor review your documents even if you don’t have a lawyer draw up your TOS.
2) Vague clause in the TOS: “Publishing “adult” contents which are against public morality and/or accomplice publishing these kind of contents.” <– What does that mean? Are you forbidding hosting all adult material? Just pornography? What about artistic nudes? What about art in general? Public morality is not a concept in law generally speaking. Obscenity is.
3) The Crimes Against Public Morality clause makes your company sound prudish. If you are then that's fine, it's your right as a business owner, but you should be more clear about what types of materials you're prohibiting.
4) The Crimes Against Public Morality section contains a list of prohibited program and service types that have nothing to do with public morality, should be in a bulleted or ordered list, and forbids a number of common uses. For people who haven't read them, among other things the TOS and this section thereof forbids:
-Running a VPN
-Running "a chat program"
-Running "interfaces [which] connect to a chat program" (so no BNC)
-Providing "downloading" (again, this is vague)
5) Vague system resource limits:
" Causing the service that other clients receive get affected by using processors (max. %20) or memory sources (max. 512 mb.) excessively on the area that has given by Hostigger." If a user has 2GB of RAM from your plans, why a 512MB limit?
6) Being hostile to users in the comments.
Some commenters here are unpleasant or blunt. They represent the world of anonymous internet jerks. You represent a business – when you act rude or get short with someone, it makes people doubt your professionalism.
I don’t think we were being bad to anyone. I’m trying to give the best service for the lowest price. My goal is to provide professional service, I have no intention of breaking anyone’s heart. I told my lawyer about the contract. We will review together.

I liked the average speed even though it isn’t full 1gbps (of course, I’m on shared environment)
after 1 day of use, upload speed reduced to 100kbps. and download 2Mbps and kept getting disconnected.
I can’t use the VPS anymore. contacted the guy but no answer yet. :(

Your network speed will not be lowered as long as the bandwidth is not over or unless excessive usage is detected in your account. There is no support request waiting for us. Please send support requests again if the problem persists.

I got a VPS with Hostigger. I like the pricing and performance. The only area it falls short on is the speed of VPS rebuild. As they dont have an automated rebuild process in place, it takes at least half day (i.e. 12 hours) for them just to rebuild the VPS. This is very slow compared to instantaneous rebuild process that other VPS providers have.
We will transition to the OpenStack system in as little as one month. Then I’m sure you will be pleased.
Is it support mounting custom iso?

The IP of the VPS in Chicago resolves to the Netherlands in WHOIS, which is why the country on serverscope.io doesn’t show US.
I ordered a vps windows first package 2gb ram they delivered on the support ticket , IP user & pass , vps location from turkey download 30mpbs upload 200mbps , i have only 2GB free space in the vps also the costumer support is very bad i need to wait 5-6 hours for a answer the price is low but the service its not good for me.
The network is 1 Gbps. However, if you download / upload from a remote place to turkey, you will get low speed. This is normal. Due to the density, the delivery period can be long. You can see the delivery time when ordering. In addition, within a month, our OpenStack cloud infrastructure will be activated and delivered instantly.

OpenStack (KVM) plans in Chicago were good (100% uptime, low latency to the West Coast and Europe, technically good customer support), until Hostigger sent an email declaring that they were withdrawing their Chicago KVM plans and could either migrate virtual boxes to a data center in Istanbul or open a VMWare plan in Chicago but without migrating my files.
As I only selected Hostigger because of their Chicago location, this was disappointing and I moved to another hosting company instead.
When hosting companies offer a service, they need to understand that they do not have the right to make decisions that are going to have an impact on their clients, without giving adequate notice (despite the company’s claim that technical problems were the reason for their move, I suspect the actual reason had more to do with the collapsing value of the Turkish Lira against the U.S. Dollar – and, as a contract is a contract, even if it turns out to be a ‘bad bargain’, Hostigger should really have behaved in a better way).
In fact, it might be observed that they did everything they could to dissuade customers from using their Chicago location – at one point I even requested they open a VMWare plan in Chicago in parallel with my KVM plan so that I could do a server-to-server transfer which would have been quicker than downloading all my applications from a very sluggish server in Istanbul. Instead of simply doing this, they kept repeating the message that they could only open a VMWare plan once the KVM one had been terminated (and by the time they finally agreed, I had already had enough of them).
There are clearly cultural issues when it comes to communicating with their clients and understanding their expectations (when I sign up for a service in Chicago, that is because I need to host my applications in Chicago, not Istanbul; when I sign up with any hosting provider, it is in the expectation that they will act reasonably by giving fair notice of any significant changes to their terms and conditions – technically, simply deciding unilaterally to move a virtual box to another country when a client has paid to host it somewhere else, is a breach of contract).
What a shame – and I sincerely hope they sort themselves out!
