Via this WHT offer. DynamoVPS is a new provider in the budget VPS space. Domain registered last month in November. It is part of larger group W2 Interactive, which too only had its domain registered early this year. And I really want to read its CEO’s blog linked on their Company page, except the button is not clickable :)
Anyway. Their Chicago-based “Basic VPS” is on special at $59.95/Year using this sign up link. Update: their latest WHT offer is now showing a offer at $36/Year using this signup link. It comes with
- 512MB memory
- 20GB storage
- 500GB/month data transfer with pure Cogent bandwidth
- OpenVZ
They have rather strict ToS — “the following activities are not permitted: IRC, Proxy Servers, File Sharing or P2P Services… We do not permit any adult, illegal, “grey area” or hate material in our network.” which can actually be good if you are looking at host content sites.

looks like leeware user.
Actually W2Interactive does have something interesting on the dedicated server space (http://www.mylinuxgeek.com/), $25/month for AMD 64 3500+ with 4GB RAM, 200GB space and 1TB traffic.
Per what ab has said, see LeeWare. For example this offer on LeeWare — 5x 4GB AMD 64 3400+ boxes for $150/month, i.e. $30/month for each. Cheaper when you buy more. I can see how it translates to low end VPS farms…
Great but insane setup fee
FYI, I have an extreme WHT package and they configured the node to use RAID5. When I first got it I have a write speed of 1.5MB/s despite being the only one on the node. Which I kindly told them that they forgot to turn on the write cache on the array.
Anyway the drive is getting slower and slower as the node is being filled up, probably with loads of seedboxes as neighbors because of the unmetered offer (of that particular VPS) with huge disk.
I first got a node in Los Angeles and then got moved to a node in Florida.
Just want to shine some light on the experience level of the tech. But otherwise at least from the tickets and live chat they’re a bunch of nice people.
It seems that they just released a better offer on WHT: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1009746.
Posted updated. $36/Year for the same 512MB memory offer. Hmm…
They also offer cheap boxes as well: http://www.mylinuxgeek.com/
Oh dear god. Where to start?
The BBB icon at the top isn’t linked either.
It’s interesting how the domain is recent but yet they credit in their footer “Through years of hard work….”
They’re way overselling their web hosting. 200 gigs of space for 3 bucks a month? That’s about a whole server there.
Their content needs to be grammer checked. Right off I’m noticing the mixing of ‘and’ and ‘&’.
There’s no way to dismiss their javascript chat. Got a little ‘2’ hovering up and down over it and there’s no dismiss to get rid of it.
Heck, I can’t even validate the page I tried.
You get 1500gb pooled bw with 5 servers, guy sells 1 server with 1tb bw.
Guess overselling by 3x is nothing special, but he would pay out of hes pocket because if I would buy 1TB server I would use it all :D
Their website says “DynamoVPS is now W2 Servers.” – http://www.w2servers.com/announcement-dynamo.html
Makes much more sense in terms of branding…
website doesn´t load atm
