can i install a different operating system on the 8gb smart server package?
You sure can, as long as it is now Windows as that would require to be under our licensing.
Just open a ticket after ordering with a download link to your desired OS and we will see what we can do for you.
Thanks!
Paid for the low tier VM and the deployment appeared to be instant. No compaints there.
One thing I would like to see – Please update your list of Linux Images!! Ubuntu 16.10 should really be available :)
i Need the “Self-Managed 8GB Hybrid”
do i get any days to test?
I purchased the 4GB openvz system Setup was instant. Response to a ticket to enable a feature was handled quickly. Disk access is painfully slow however. I’ll give it some time to see if it improves.
“What is your payment and refund policy?”
“Hudson Valley Host does not offer refunds on any of our services. However we are commited to excellence and will work with you if you have any issues with your account.”
I do not recommend it, and I recommend that you check all the ads about the money back policy, because once you’ve paid, there’s no turning back, my site has a simple tool that pulls information from an XML file that I use a few times. The first time I used it I have already suspended my server for intensive use of the CPU, that is, a VPS of this quality is better to stay on a shared server.
Now I’ve lost $ 49, because I’m already with another server and I have no use for this.
