I know DotVPS got a pretty bad review last month when it’s previous owner, Australia-based “Joshua”, tried to off-load it on WHT. I have no idea whether it has been successfully sold, but I have been getting offers from UK-based “Jack” with their LowEndBox specials. Use promo code LEB50 to get 50% off recurring discount on their virtual servers. “(st) standard” is $4.98/month after the discount, and it has
- 512MB guaranteed/1024MB burstable memory
- 100GB storage
- 100Mbps unmetered bandwidth
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
Order “standard” package in Jacksonville FL (with VolumeDrive, test IP: 199.19.110.58) or in Amsterdam Netherlands (with Ecatel, test IP: 80.82.70.133). The Netherlands location actually has 1Gbps unmetered connection. Now, 512MB guaranteed memory, 100GB storage, 100+Mbps unmetered bandwidth, under 5 bucks a month — too good to be true?! Abusers’ paradise it seems.

Yes i am the new owner. any question please email me at Jack[at]dotvps.net
Thanks
Jack
Is the promotional code still valid?
No this one is though.
http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/dotvps-4-256mb-openvz-vps-in-scranton-or-netherlands/
The correct Netherlands Test IP is: 80.82.70.133
I think even abusers will be hard-pressed to extract $5 worth of (ab)use out of their VPS, before the whole thing folds. If they will even get any VPS to begin with, that is.
Also both test IPs are the same.
Fixed.
We’ll be deploying another node by the end of the week if we sell out. :) Thanks for your interest.
why aren’t you using your own server for your own website?
Why are you using Netelligent?
So if there are network problems people can still access their website for updates/support tickets? It’s the most sensible way to do things.
so their server is not reliable, the owner himself has to be hosted at somewhere else?
Why doesn’t he advertise for Netelligent?
No, but if there are any problems, at least clients will be able to get in contact with them.
Nobody said their servers are unreliable. It’s a sensible thing to do, not to put all your eggs in one basket.
so what if Netelligent goes down?
how “clients will be able to get in contact with them”?
Perhaps you have a suggestion for such a situation, wise one?
@ John – I’d imagine they could take all of 30 seconds to restore the site to another location and change DNS.
@john: if “Netelligent goes down,” DotVPS would most likely be functioning and not generating support requests.
Hosting you’re website in a totally different DC and host is the proper way todo things. As well as having redundant DNS and public WHOIS.
I see you guys updated you’re whois to valid details, good. Not a wise idea to put a mobile number in whois though.
What do you want to see in a whois? Skype?
Maybe a business number? Its just a lil risky using mobile numbers.
What’s risky about it?
If it is non-registered prepaid phone
Comon gary it aint rocket science is it..
@ Daniel – nope, I don’t get it.
@ tux – Why would that matter? Tons of whois info has invalid phone numbers, or is completely private. I sure as hell wouldn’t put a real number (at least not one I actually use) in whois. I get enough spam without getting cold callers too.
I prefer using mobile numbers, I have a second phone that I use (not as much anymore) for my WHOIS.
Its on PAYG and Unlocked, so If i start getting abuse/spam I can just get another sim, fixed.
Nice Service i might buy it when am home :)
Abusers Paradise?
I don’t think so: https://dotvps.net/portal/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=8
Daniel how is it risky?
Thanks for the comments.
We host our site on a different server for the reasoning of i wouldn’t want to host it due to if a node has hardware issues or a DDoS attack then the site will be down and clients will be unable to report that its down.
so what if Netelligent goes down?
wouldn’t clients think that your whole vps is down?
Sorry but that is stupid…
If their site is down and I don’t have problems with my services, I don’t care.
… and your VPS is fine? Certainly better than having both hosting service and support channel offline at the same time.
Gary it is a legit phone number..
I wasn’t suggesting it wasn’t, I’m just saying that there’s nothing wrong with having a mobile number in whois.
“nothing wrong with having a mobile number in whois.”
I didnt say anything different either. Its fine using a mobile number in WHOIS but very risky as i said in my previous posts. I have had to deal with numerous calls from insurance companies and claims companies…
Seriously people, can leave the phone number issue already? Is that really the most suspicious thing that you found about this offer, and not the fact that it’s $5/mo for 100 GB storage and unmetered gigabit? Geez.
Yeah, it’s silly I admit. There’s no risk from the client side though, which is all we should care about.
Email as we use google apps for our email and DNS managed by cloudflare :)!
There are bandwidth limit 5 TB (I pick up this value from SolusVM)
you can go over 5TB its just so we could see if people were abusing.
SolusVM doesn’t allow unlimited, and it starts to bug if you give people insane values like 5295290525TB
Which datacenter you’re using in NL? AFAIK Ecatel got servers in seven different DCs.
They said they have two and we have both nodes in first one.
Is it just me or does the homepage (middle) look a lot like Eleven2’s? :p
Best,
Kevin
exactly…
Most of their site is ripped.
There Minecraft page was ripped from another company until recently when they received DMCA. You can see a 404 here for that reason > http://dotvps.net/assets/includes/404.shtml
I haven’t even posted on your post Gregg so don’t come here and start trolling.
Trolling? If it’s true, how is that trolling? It’s informing people that you’re shady, assuming it’s true.
@Gregg – proof?
I already reported that to e2’s supportdesk. We’ll see what happens.
I’m not trolling. As Gary said I was only pointing out what I knew ontop of what Kevin posted. I have no proof but I was told this by Jack when they received the DMCA report some weeks ago. It isn’t necessarily bad, I like their design, but I was under the impression that it was custom, and they shouldn’t be using copyrighted pieces of work stolen from others.
Maybe not trolling but i didn’t see your need to post something i told you in private.
@ Gary , I guess it was true as i started managing DotVPS on the 24th October previous owner “Josh” Had made / Put the design up. I didn’t know who made which bits ect. i acted upon the DMCA and took it down. ill be looking to get the whole site redone soon anyway.
Ok, that makes sense. Simple, valid explanation. :)
Thanks for your understanding :)
are you really “Jack”? Aren’t you Sebastian?
If you’re really Jack, would you post your last name here?
If you are as who you are, I will apologize everyday.
Are you really “John”? Got hundreds of comments here by you on LowEndBox, and many use different names :)
Sebastian? Sebastian of formal SynHost/Breathost? He is in DE and Jack is in UK…
@LEA – I think you’re in quite the fustercluck between this one, breathost and the other one I linked to :P
Francisco
Talking about the appropriateness of using this term to describe the mess in this industry. Sometimes there’s just no way to untangle it, other than deadpooling ’em all…
Kill them all and let WHT sort them out is what I say :D
Francisco
what are you two on about?
Well Just look at the paypal name :) I don’t want my last name all over the internet. i don’t mind giving it to clients.
scheduled reboot for Midnight, EST (New York time).23/11/2011 [USA Node] XENON clients will be affected.
Reboot for replacement of Disk.
ETA of downtime : 5-15 mins.
After a Disk was replaced – Volumedrive said it could also be motherboard at fault and they don’t want to replace this so they’re providing us with a second server.
We’d like to move you to a different server.
How I imagine the process would go is:
rsync data from Node 1 to the new server. (Takes some time to complete.)
rsync data from Node1 to the new server. (Transfers only the changes.)
stop VMs on Node 1.
rsync data from Node 1 to the new server. (Transfers only the changes.)
We swap IP addresses of Node 1 and the new server.
start VMs on the new server.
This will mean some downtime. . .
I’m going to start this later today and hope to finish it by tonight.
Why in the hell would they go through an rsync instead of moving the drives?
rsync *always* causes issues.
Francisco
That’s what volumedrive suggested however what i think im going to do is ask for a 1TB drive to be mounted to /backup and vzdump all vps’s to that drive that get the drive mounted to new server too.
And then go through the time of a restore? Seems like a terribly long run about…
Francisco
theres only 25 vm’s ?
Remember when copying to preserve permissions, I remember when I moved a few dozen VMs to a new drive, I forgot to copy across permissions.
Well, lets say OpenVZ began having even more hissy fits.
Lowendadmin , where are you located?
Australia and his ISP is Exetel
LowEndAdmins identify remains a secret
Haha good one, Comcast boy! Quite a few people here actually know who I am so it’s not really a “secret”. Maybe I will do a full intro one day…
:)
I would just get the drives moved. No need to go through trouble with VZDUMP and Rsync would be even worse.
Its the disks which are at fault i think volumedrive thinks its the board. So to resolve both things new server is better.
How comes you didn’t get the 1Gbps connection at Volumedrive Jacksonville?
Its like what? $10pm for 1Gbps unmetered.
Netherlands is sold out, only location that interest me (1GBPs and low-latency/no SOPA)
I have the 1gbps port but its “1gbps burstable” so you only get 300mbps.
Damn, they don’t give you 1gbps dedicated!?11!?
New server for jacksonville Just came..
Time to install solusvm.
Its fixed yay.
Emailed Ecatel for new node.
Not ready yet or already sold out?
Their website looks quite…. weird, its not German to say the least.
http://www.ecatel.de/
Ecatel.net
Which then links to http://www.ecatel.info/ which then links to Ecatel.de if you click on the German link

Is it possible to place a pre-order for the new NL node?
I’ve not yet got a reply about nl node.

So it’s just another way to contact Ecatel’s boss? Or it’s a friend of him? An (ex) customer?
Weird…
(http://iqarus.com/ – wtf?)
you’re looking for ‘iqarus.nl’ and i wouldn’t really say contact.
Well, e-mail: r.eeden@nl.iqarus.com …
He is Ecatel’s CEO.
I would of finished this node move a few hours ago however moving 1.5TB of DATA is kinda hard on a dying hard-disk , if your upset by the downtime you may request an extra day on your billing date.
Thanks
Jack.
Could you keep us updated when you know more about the new NL node?
Thanks!
They said: Please bare with us, we’re understaffed due to illnesses, will be carried out asap.

Looks like Ecatel’s hands on staff are dead at the moment. Been waiting for a raid 1 reinstall for 4 days. Good luck getting your node Jack.
2 nodes are ordered :). Pending setup. they did say to me
Please bare with us, we’re understaffed due to illnesses, will be carried out asap.
All VM’s are online just waiting for volumedrive to move IP’s over.
Worth the downtime?
It seems one of the users on xenon is really hammering the network. It caused so much of a problem, that we had to limit your server to 100Mbps temporarily.
When things are back under control, please write in, and we will restore full Gigabit service.

Best Regards,

Come on guys atleast give me a few hours with no work…
What did you expect? People are gonna take the piss thats why unlimited offers are never good.
resolved the issue now :)!
Limited everyone to 80mbps.
Dont tell us that lol. keep it in you’re terms of service or AUP.
I’m taking bets you got a booter on your box, especially considering it’s in NL with unmetered bandwidth.
Do like
tcpdump -n -i eth0 -t udp
And keep an eye for anyone just thrashing at it. VPN’s use UDP a lot too but it’ll not be pushing 100mbit+/sec
Francisco
Im talking about usa.. also we dont have booters ive been watching running processes its mainly just seedboxs
Good!
Back when we sold under the Frantech brand we used to also sell a 100Mbit unmetered option for like $15/m extra. We had a bunch of people (5 – 6) over the period of a couple months order it thinking it’d be OK to run booters with it.
Francisco
Yeah when i took over DotVPS it was rather the same… 80TB Bandwidth on NL server #1
56TB on NL server #2 950mbps max outgoing port speed.
10mbps incoming. how ecatel didn’t do something to stop it i don’t know.
And seedboxes are not hammering the I/O?
Are the servers RAID 10?
OK so I was right.
The old owner kept making statements about how there was no booters allowed/on his services, even though he was selling on hackforums, etc.
Francisco
I got all posts and threads either removed / closed on Hackforums. its not so much booters. but its more the rune scape phishing and fraud. i had like a few chargebacks daily.

This hosting look very neet ><!
Anyways, what proccesor it uses? Xen? and how many cores?
And is there any problems in Servers in Netherland? I wont read all this up…, and do you think it can Host Counterstrike 1.6 server without any problems? Thanks.
openvz however thinking of getting a 24GB RAM Server in NL for XEN.
Sorry for double post,
But do you have some MSN or something to contact you with to be easier? And can I like replace the 250GB on the Ultimate for like 50 GB and more Ram instead even it wasn’t something big… but Ram is more needed than HDD in Game servers..?
MSN / AIM : support@dotvps.net
skype : dotvps
@bob I booted all vm’s and a few mc servers I/O was 90MB/sec. for USA.
NL is around 40-60 MB/s RAID 1
Wow impressive I/O if you have some heavy users…
How many users per node (more or less…)?
Sounds like a great deal anyway!
USA around 40 – 45 VPS’s per node.
Depends on the node.
CPU , RAM
NL has 44 VM’s on one and 50 on other.
Sweet, thanks!
What are the server spec? This seems like pure BS with 100GB space, 50 – 100gb – 5TB of NO RAID STORAGE. Or you think just because people will not bother to fill this up you are overselling it by 3 times?
Seems like poor kid is left speechless, that was expected.
2 x 2TB RAID1. if a disk gets Full we’ll just deploy another node i missed your comment sorry for delay.
Your offline for 4 hour :S, I sent email too… please accept invitations..
Im on , just busy
Be advised: VolumeDrive will cap the port to 100Mbps half-duplex automatically if you burst over 100Mbps for a [certain] amount of time (for an hour or so).
They want to make sure you never go over 30TB monthly upstream I think.
Either way, I’ve experienced that
They enabled it within a second of me replying to there email

Not looking to good on the setup time side from ecatel. my ticket has been open for 3 days.
Last reply: Nov/24/2011 4:53:02PM
do you have a new server in FL? can anyone order now?
We have a new server and have had for past 4 days. we’re working on getting some more IP’s as i think the CPU and disk can hold atleast another 10-15 VPS’s.
Update from ecatel:
hello,
deadline will be this monday afternoon.
Sorry for all troubnles sir., we appriciate your patience and do really our best.
Available now..??
They have given us a single core we asked for a dual quad.
We are waiting for a reply.
Hi,
We have 5 IP’s. Ecatel are providing more soon. Please go and order your services now :)!
is this on 1 core or 2 cores?
2 Cores.
VPS Control Panel Is down Currently. we host it on an external providers service. we’re getting no response so orders are back logged your date will put 1 day forward if you have/do order.
Okay. we have MORE IPS :D! 10 more in stock.
Okay one node filled
Next Node.
20 more in stock.
You filled one node in less than a day? Only 20 VPS per node?
:)
25 :)
Would it be possible to get LEB50 on your next plan for NL?
Which would be super?
Yep
Yes there 1 in stock and it works with LEB50.
LEB50 doesn’t work with quaterly / semi annualy?
Why not as it’s reccuring discount anyway?
i’d just rather not offer it on Quarterly and Semi Annually.
I’m thinking of removing these payment options really as we’ve only ever sold 10 Annually ones and 4 have been fraud / charge back.
If you don’t offer the discount of annualy / semi annualy it’s normal that you get less people to subscribe on those plans / or scammers… (twice as expensive, one must be foulish to choose that!)
It’s too bad though as I would like to test a VPS with you but it annoys me to have to reming everymonth to pay for this and that vps…
If you have only one it’s ok but when you have a few vps and a few dedi, it starts to be pretty annoying :)
Paypal subscription? Or paying enough onto your account in advance so that the money gets taken from your balance rather than your paypal etc?
Yeah garry ;) you could do that. thanks for that.
@Gary great idea, thanks!
If I add more money to my account @ whmcs then my invoices will be automatically paied for?
yes.
The lack of Debian 6 64bit templates is a bit sad, wonder if you can add it?
Yeah. ill do it now.
Successful!
Template Added.
Let it sync with the other nodes. then try reinstall.

What server are two on?
It looks like another problem with the hard drive. I deleted the swap partition, benchmarked /dev/sda2 (bypassing any filesystems) and still got poor results. (I restored the swap partition afterward.)
We apologise for the problems you have been experiencing. We’ll prepare a replacement disk for you.

So guys on USA this is the reasoning.
so did they replace it?
They said it would cost them $550 to $600 for a new disk so they are willing to give me another server again.
so are you getting a new server today?
can it be deployed today?

No where near 24 hours. USA is slow atm so i can’t give a test file ill reply once we get a new server.
I stand corrected, I thought I submitted that ticket in the afternoon – turns out I didn’t – my apologies.
It’s a different ticket than you quoted though (see the id).
Also, on Jupiter the hosts’ disk appears to be filling up (showing size 56G avail 33G with only < 1G used for /dev/simfs)

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/simfs 55G 471M 33G 2% /
That’s what it looks like from my side.

at least you have vps, I don’t have any.

Netherlands Node #Pluto deployed :)! Go Go Go
12 More left on this offer…
68/80 Uses.
do you allow tun/tap openvpn ?
if yes, i am interested.
They do allow TUN/TAP as im using as VPN
Does anyone else have one of the Dutch VPS’s? Is so, could they confirm if the time is vaguely right.
I’m seeing the time now being 5 hours fast..
Adding 5 more to this promotions.
@Jack – Any chance this promo is still running?
Thanks
Ji
We are thinking if we can stock another 5 for this.
However ill put one in for you :)
Awesome! Thanks.
I’m happy to buy now if you show me the way!
Hi,
can you also put one box in NL for me?
Thanks in advance!
I’m also interested, please. Thanks. :)
Hi,
I would also be interested in NL server.
thinking of getting one too, if the offer is still available :)
seems like the offer is out ? get “The promotion code entered has already been used”
any chance the promo discount still open ?
One more, pls pls :)
Stocked 5 more.
Hi Jack,
Can you tell me how many users are on per server node?
Thanks
Depends which one…
one has 25.
one has 32.
And one of the NL has 40.
any chance to have another one in US?
We’ve ordered a new node for USA should come in at some point tomorrow.
But US will only have 100mbps instead of 1Gbps, is that correct?
Correct.
@ZAY,
Network port 1Gbps for NL, but there no even 100mbps:
Or it simply limited to 20 mbps per VPS, becouse the same result repeated several times and from another sources also.
Although I’m not sure.
Anyway it’s not so bad.
As i’ve said up ^ We limited all vm’s due to abusive you can simply submit a ticket. i’d happily increase it.
Thank you for reply.
It’s a good idea with port speed restrictions to prevent node abuse.
In fact, don’t think I need a 100mbps port speed, or even 1 Gbps.
25 mpbs would be enough for me for this price and if traffic unlimited in this range.
Its also good as if one of the vm’s was to become under attack it will be easier to block due to only inbound @ 30mbps. if it was full 1000mbps then we would have to request the datacenter to block it which would mean downtime for everyone.
I have added another 3 to promo.
argh, it was night in europe when you added them and its already out of stock :/
I’m late again :P
the same happen to me!
Out of stock until cancellations or if i decide to get our 5th NL node.
Last 5 have been stocked.
this will be the last of NL stock until Christmas or later
Wow man that’s going so fast!
Crazy business :D
Deploying another USA Node during this week.
when?
USA is Stocked up with 5 Per Plan.
Thinking about what to do with NL Stock.. Re-stock current plan or make a Lowend Plan
A LEB plan like 128MB RAM @ really cheap price?
Could be cool :)
Disk?
I wouldn’t be offer 1gbps for the lowendbox however offering about 1TB bandwidth or less?
1TB would be great, anyway most users will probably just use few megs per month.
15GB HDD would be nice – could be less if it’s really cheap and/or SAS 15K but if it’s SATA based 15GB is a minimum imho, and there is no need for lot of storage if it’s a cheap / LEB plan :)
What price would you willing to pay?
Well what about 1.5$ / 2& per month, could it be sustainable?
But I heard that it was harder to get IPs from Ecatel, isn’t it?
I charge $2.50 for Additional IP’s so it would be more than $2
Considering your current pricing, if it’s 3 dollars it wouldn’t make much sense (your 256MB/50GB is around 3.5$/month with the discount, isn’t it?
I might offer:
1TB Bandwidth @ 50mbps
256mb RAM
25GB Disk
$3.50
( bs ) Basic with the 50% discount would be more interesting, don’t you think so?
(same price & better specs)
Hmm.Our Plans are getting re done soon. Half disk on Basic and standard.
Users on “Strike” & “Forge”
We urge you to take backups immediately!
The ‘/’ Partition on strike is full and has corrupted 2 VZ.conf files.
We will be replacing the disk later today for a 2TB one.
Disk replacement will require a reinstall.
VPS’s will be vzdump’d we’re currently asking the datacenter if we can borrow a 1TB External Disk drive while the process happens to vzdump them too. if not we’ll have to store them remotely.
Fixed Strike + Forge with out reinstall.
Jupiter’s now offline! don’t sure why , awaiting reboot.

Any new offers from DotVPS at the moment?
Not at the moment sorry.
My 40th low end VPS review goes to them: http://www.96mb.com/96mb-low-end-vps-review-part-xxxx-dotvps/ Unfortunately I really don’t think they did a good job in the VPS itself, although I have to admit the price is really cheap considering the amount of resources offered…
It was a shame you got put on pluto it had an issue for a while where it would crash over so often however it seems to have stabled out a bit now though however is still a bit poor.
[root@Pluto ~]# uptime
06:03:36 up 2 days, 17:06, 1 user, load average: 0.72, 0.74, 0.62

Also I did post on this about port limiting all you had to do was submit a ticket and i would of unlimited the port :).
Regarding the reply time what date was the ticket/s?
Do you know when you’ll have more NL stock?
Thx!
Is this promo code LEB50 still working?
No we stopped it after 100 uses.
Very pleased with DotVPS’s services. Have a basic VPS in the US (PA), running flawlessly. Speed is supeb. dd test showed that the node I’m on can generate a 105MB file in 16 secs.
Support is excellent, never came across such speedy and dedicated support, ever. Jack is seriously dedicated and is able to answer all my queries.
At the moment I have had no issues, we’ll see what happens in the next few weeks/months.
Thanks!
“105MB file in 16 secs” that’s what, a horrible only 6.5 MB/sec I/O?
Or more likely, you’re testing it incorrectly. Try again with:
dd bs=1M count=128 if=/dev/zero of=test conv=fdatasync
should get 100+ MB/sec, or 50 at the very least.
[root@usapa1 ~]# dd bs=1M count=128 if=/dev/zero of=test conv=fdatasync
128+0 records in
128+0 records out
134217728 bytes (134 MB) copied, 2.19736 seconds, 61.1 MB/s

Any promo code now can be used?
thank u
Yes, this offer is too good to be true. They have just sent following email to customer:
But isn’t like that already?
Looks like half the space and transfer to me. If I were a customer I’d ditch them for this pisstake.
It’s moments like these that remind us how important it is not to pre-pay for a VPS for a whole year or perhaps even quarterly. Pay month-to-month and be ready to just pack up and go, if you become unsatisfied for some reason.
Definitely, rm. I try to avoid pre-paying. Last time I pre-paid was Quality Servers, and that turned out very similar to this.
We’re not “Closing” though are we?
We decreased the plans for a reason.
No. Until this email my vps specs was exactly same as this offer. But after that email they reduced specs (without my permission).
So, I don’t get it. The mail talks about upgrading or downgrading? :S
And what about your data? What if you were using all your disk space and get downgraded? ¬¬ pfff
This offer was from 4 months ago. we’re having issues with NL DC and looking to move. It’s not “To Good to be true” It was true for 4 months it was simply not possible to offer unmetered 1000mbps.
I stated in the email the reason. Its not because of overselling at all.
We opened tickets with all people over disk usage.
I smell overselling here.
yeah, i got the email as well. Log into the solus panel just to find out its true.
this is my last month with dotvps.
i don’t care if its not feasible “to keep unlimited bandwidth” bla bla bla. Hell i hardly even use up 1tb data transfer each month.
I just feel cheated.
If you dont use bandwidth allocated how do you feel cheated?
Because while they might not right now, they could in future? They signed up being promised X, and now the provider wants to change it to Y. Changing provider isn’t free, in terms of the time and effort finding a new provider and moving sites over.
Well if they need more like i said in the email “If you have an issue where you’re close to your quota pop a ticket in and we can try to come to a deal.”
They should’ve just made sure they had a sustainable business plan in the first place, then they wouldn’t be pissing people off.
100GB for $5 is a hell of a lot. You don’t see other providers offering that amount, which makes me think they knew it wasn’t tenable from day one, they were just hoping to oversell by a hell of a lot to break even.
It’d be interesting to see chart of the average cost per GB of storage, per GB of ram etc, across multiple providers… I think we’d find that 5c/GB of storage is way under the market average…
Obviously some providers can manage better prices than others, but it’s not really a surprise from a company with such a checkered past.
I have been with dotvps for a while now and i have received the same email but you won’t hear any complaints from me.
It’s still good value for money and if it would occur at some point that you’re close to your quota i’m sure Jack will try and come to a solution with you. I still feel it’s a good deal considering i’m on the NL dc. I’d rather have them downgrade than closing up shop all together.
Plus, I have had not a single problem and my support tickets have always been answered fast, this is all i want from my provider and this is what Jack delivers.
I’m glad your happy with the service , we do try our best and the reason for the bandwidth downgrade is mainly for NL users for when we do DC move in a few weeks depending on if we can get the nodes in time.
But WTF they cut your disk storage my friend have their VPS and has been use a 3 month after that what you order 100GB they cut to 50 GB abd also bandwidth hmmmm good startegy that not fair
you offer 100gb but when has been has your client then dot vps cut the specification,,,cheater
You’re clearly not a client.
If you were you’d know why we’d cut it and its for a good reason.
Hi,
I have a server in dotvps and he was down for over 24 hours!
Dotvps said he was under attack in the UK and because of this got long this fall, I have asked my backup Dotvps several times over 12 hours and they sent me.
Even the SolusVM was opening again when I sent a note informing them that dotvps my vps still was not working and he was down for over 24 hours, dotvps asks me on which node my VPS was (as they should know that I know without being able to access the SolusVM)
Until now I can not access the server and they sent me a message telling me that the suspension will send me back and asked me what I was doing (as I will do something if the server was down?), Which checked was only the doors that were closed in serialconsole trying to get back to the server was down for over 24 hours.
Dotvps VPS is horrible in the uk had enough and falls slowly in recent months and they do not refund any of it. I leave attached some documents proving the péssiomo service, would not recommend.

Thank you.
Hey There,
We have recently purchased DotVPS and will be taking over in the next week or so.
If you’d like to highlight this issue to us directly for now please email support@httpzoom.com and we’ll see if we can get the issue resolved for you.
Thank you.
Hi,
You had a service with us, it was down for 28 hours yes. that was out of our control though…
Yes we were under attack, I don’t think you understood that I had no network access to the servers why the subnet was null routed do you?
So I couldn’t access your ‘backups’, you kept trying to reboot and reboot and reboot causing the solusvm to hang due to not being able to process the php process but you carried on trying then on top of that you tried console’ing in after I had got the main IP back online you made the node hit a 40 % load which this made it lag while trying to work on the node it’s self so I shut down your VPS but you booted it back up and went into to do it again so I replied to your ticket saying:
What are you doing? Your VPS has the hostnode had an extreme load.
I have had to shut it down once so far.
Don’t make me do it again or ill have to suspend you.
So thanks for making the extra stress and work on my shoulders, you have been refunded.
Have a great day!
Jack
