RackNerd, a well known provider who had an exceedingly popular Black Friday event (did I say “exceedingly popular”? I meant “epic break-the-Internet gargantuan”) over at LowEndTalk, recently submitted their new Cyber Monday deals to share with the LowEndBox community. RackNerd is an active contributor within the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk community. LowEndBox also recently interviewed RackNerd’s CEO here, and RackNerd’s Digital Content Manager here.
RackNerd’s Cyber Monday KVM VPS offers are based on KVM Virtualization, meaning your resources are more or less dedicated to your VPS, and you have the flexibility to run your own kernel. RackNerd also mentioned that some KVM VPS plans are available in 9 different datacenter locations: Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Atlanta, and Ashburn (looking glass/test IPs below).
All plans are instantly set up after payment. Their WHOIS is public and you can find their ToS/Legal Docs on their website. RackNerd is a registered business, with real office space (you can view their office photos here). They accept PayPal, Credit Cards, Alipay, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDT, UnionPay, iDEAL, India NetBanking, India UPI, and Boleto as payment methods.
Let’s jump straight into the RackNerd Cyber Monday deals below!

Hi All, for those that obtained Black Friday deals, and now you are looking for more awesome deals! Our Cyber Monday deals are officially here! Each order is instantly provisioned.
Have questions? Please leave a comment.
Are these the same guys that ran AlphaRacks? There seems to be some suggestion of that on LET. If so, I’ll pass. Got royally screwed 2 years ago on an awesome Cyber Monday deal and the company shutdown 3 months later.
Hi Sammy, thank you for commenting.
All that is, is suggestions, rumors, and opinions. Those can always easily be digested, twisted, and so on.
We are a real business, registered, with real office space, real staff, multiple registered trademarks, multiple faces you can see who is behind this company (be sure to check out the interviews we’ve done) as well as our about us page for about us, and pics of our office space https://www.racknerd.com/about
Additionally as you can likely see on LET, our offering is quite popular, awesome feedback within the community, including reviews which reflect the level of service we provide.
I’d like to end this with, whichever provider you do choose to go with be sure to run your own independent backups. This is one of the best peace of mind one can do to be in control, along with selecting a real provider. We hope that eventually, we can work together.
No configuration at NJ, NY or ATL.
Hello, any location listed within a promotion that isn’t available upon checkout simply means it is sold out in that location now. Our deals have been extremely popular, so we’re starting to see multiple locations sell out.
We will continue our expansion efforts, and replenish stock ASAP in these locations.
Thanks Dustin! Snapped up the 1.5 GB KVM VPS. I know this is too much to ask but do these orders qualify for double bandwidth like the BF offers?
Hi Azeem – thank you for commenting.
At this time, these are not eligible for double the bandwidth. Though if you do happen to need more bandwidth, we can always work something out, also provide very competitive upgrade pricing.
Hi Dustin! That’s completely fine and I thought there is no harm in asking politely ;) Have been following your thread over on LEB and you have completely owned BF this year. Kudos. Cheers
I knew it! Cyber Monday offer is much better than Black Friday. :)
Hi Kempes, both promotions have been awesome! We’re happy to see the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk community’s interest in our offerings.
Nice Offer
can it custom ISO for windows with own license ? thx
Hello, thank you for expressing interest in RackNerd!
We really wish we could support this, but due to SPLA it is a direct violation to allow customer provided Windows ISO or Keys. Microsoft doesn’t like this.
So under SPLA, we must provide the ISO and license it. We do have a Windows KVM VPS product line, powered by AMD Ryzen 3900x + Enterprise Intel NVMe which is impressive! If interested, especially in a custom deal I can help provide competitive pricing just send me an email dustin@racknerd.com
Thank You!
Hi Dustin
Not seeing Atlanta for the 1.5 VPS but is listed in the offering.
Any chance of including Atlanta in this deal?
Hi Shawn, unfortunately, Atlanta is now sold out – we are working to replenish inventory in this location.
@raindog308 just to inform you, I have reported 13 of your emails that you are sending out after I have unsubscribed, your system reports it as already removed
It takes 48 hours for unsubscribe requests to be implemented. Sorry for the trouble.
Hi, New Jersey is still not back in stock? Any chance it will be back in stock until the deal is over?
Hi Irby, our New Jersey location is sold out and I wish our New York location had inventory, as this would be the next best location with comparable latency. We are simply selling out quickly. Despite deploying over 100 nodes just for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We do have another 20+ nodes coming online, between Amsterdam (our newest location) and within San Jose as this too is becoming low on inventory.
We will continue focusing on our expansion efforts and bringing more equipment online. You can always email me dustin@racknerd.com as well.
I see, thank you for the info.
I really needed New Jersey, I basically need NA location with best possible latency to Europe, your NJ location was better than your NY for that. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to miss out on NJ. I might be interested in Amsterdam too.
Good luck with your business and hope to be a customer in the future, you seem to be doing a great job.
Hi Irby, we do have Amsterdam in stock now https://my.racknerd.com/index.php?rp=/store/1212-promotions
Please be sure to grab one before this sale ends.
WOW that 2.8 GB plan is crazy! GREAT deal!
Hi Yousef, we believe it’s an awesome way to start Cyber Monday :) Glad you like it.
Just got the 1.5 VPS to play with :)
Hi Jeffric!
Thank you so much for giving us an opportunity to be your provider. We sincerely value your business!
If you ever need anything, be sure to get in touch with us. We’ll b here to help.
Got a VPS package in ashburn :-)
Connectivity from me over in the UK is about 85ms, not bad.
Cheers,
Hi Jacob, thank you so much for working with us at RackNerd.
Happy to hear that our service is working out for you. If you ever need assistance, we will be here to help.
We sincerely appreciate your business.
I’ve been big problems with mail delivery from my Racknerd VPS’s. According to Micosoft SNDS many of your IP ranges must be in their network blocklist so mail can’t be delivered to any recipients @hotmail.com, @outlook.com, @o365.com.
Your support staff have been kind enough to change my IP and even node several times but every IP is on the blocklist.
Is there a possibility you could contact MS to try and rectify this? I keep coming up against a brick wall with my own attempts to go through the block removal process with them. It appears these ranges were likely added to their blocklist before Racknerd even existed. Anecdotally MS are notorious for heavy handed approaches to blocking large subnets with little to no accountability.
Hi Ryan!
Thank you for giving us a chance at your business! We sincerely value your business. You also appear to know a lot of IP reputation, and these type of blocks. Which makes this easier.
You’ve hit the nail! Microsoft is extremely heavy handed, and generally blocks a very large CIDR block – and usually is very difficult to work with, as well as getting these removed. If you can reply to the ticket asking for it to be escalated, we can request delisting, we will do our best.
Thanks Dustin, I’ve logged reports for a few of the IP’s with Microsoft SNDS, they initially reject the request (as they always do), then when you escalate it they relent and say they will unblock but never do.
I suspect part of my problem might be that I’m trying to get the block removed only for the single IP assigned to my VPS when the actual block they have in place is probably for a /24 or larger.
I’m happy to swap to another IP or node again, but my concern is all of the previous changes have been to no avail and there’s obviously a bit of work to do after each change. The change of Node required me to do a full reinstall and config of the system and even then, that IP was also blocked.
Is there any possibility that you could somehow verify an IP or range isn’t on their block list prior to assigning it to my VPS? Or is that not feasible?
Hi Ryan, we’d like to help as much as possible. Please submit a ticket and in the subject, put “ATTN: Dustin” and reference this post or take a screenshot. I’ll see what can be done, I want to make sure we help and provide a solution.
I know there are several options here such as migrating your instance in place so that you do not lose your existing configurations/data.
Ryan, which datacenter is this in? I’m about to pull the trigger and want to try and avoid any email problems. :)
bought a VPS in Los Angeles, right in my backyard in terms of speed (from Van Nuys) good for setting up a streaming server on plex. Guess I have a little weekend project to look forward to :)
Hi Mason – thank you for signing up with RackNerd!
Happy to hear that our speeds have been great for you. This is what we love to hear.
We sincerely appreciate your business!
Always enjoyed reading these offers :). Great work as always, Dustin!
Thank you Socheat :) Appreciate seeing you around the community.
I have soooooooo many servers from Racknerd now haha enough to last all of my current and yet-unforeseen projects, thank you so much for entertaining us all in the forums and for the amazing deals! #RACKNERDGANG!!
Hi David, thank you for supporting us! We’ll continue to provide awesome services, competitive pricing, and staying active within the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk community. You guys have been awesome.
I’ve yet to find a better deal… I’ve been waiting and waiting, but I think I’m just going to pull the trigger on the 1.5GB VPS before its gone.
Hi Tony, these deals are awesome – so pulling the trigger is the right choice :)
We look forward to working with you.
Hi Dustin/Racknerd,
1. I’m interested in 2.8 GB KVM offer above as well as one reseller plan. I read the LET thread their and if I’m not wrong reseller plans are hosted on LA location ONLY?
2. Secondly, LA KVM and LA Reseller, are both ssd-cached or its just LA KVM ssd-cached and LA Reseller pure SSD?
3. Also do you have a LA reseller on E5 node (like the above KVM). The reason is, E5 seems dual, and E3 is single CPU with 4 cores (I’m bit doubtful about running reseller node on E3 with just 4 cores) Aren’t these E3 consume all core with just few of the reseller accounts loaded into it?). Hope you guys are not overselling on reseller node! I’m quite specific with this doubt because I’ve one account with another host “RN” who uses E3 for reseller, and all their 4 core/8 threads (8 CPU) in WHM panel shows full load and it goes beyond 11 or 12 at peak hours! (When users are working on WordPress Admin pages, or taking backups or installing something). So I was considering to migrate from them to Racknerd reseller account (plus a VPS for my own sites).
4. Also how about the abuse/copyright infringement policy is implemented on Racknerd? I am not going to use outbound email (and neither my sub-customers) so regarding SPAM abuse I’m not interested here, but I don’t policy much into what UGC (user generated content) my users put on their cpanel sites and forums. And all these years I haven’t terminated a single user for any insufficient/fake DMCA received from my upstream provider. I’ve found most DMCA’s are just incomplete and few of them legit where my sub-user removed the said content or has challenged with a reply.
5. Also my last question: Are these both products upgradeable later when I grow out of resources? OR is there an option in control panel to add extra space, extra CPU, extra RAM (individually) and paid for month/year on both KVM and reseller plans?
thanks!
Hi Neil – thank you for expressing interest in RackNerd! It’s always nice to see interest in multiple products.
1. Our shared/reseller hosting at this time is available in Los Angeles only. We do have plans to expand this product line in other regions of ours, the demand is there, but as for the desired location it is scattered, so we will likely select an East Coast location to start with for now. While there is no exact ETA on this, we’d like to make this happen. We are expanding quicker than ever before, and our blog / social media is a clear indicator of this as we frequently post these updates there. Amsterdam for VPS should hopefully be live today, this is our newest location.
2. Good eye! Regarding SSD-Cached, our LAX nodes are SSD-Cached, while other locations are Pure SSD. Our shared/reseller hosting offering is Pure SSD. And we are also starting to roll out NVMe offerings, so we do have KVM VPS in LAX with NVMe available, on our AMD Ryzen product line (if ever desired).
3. We do utilize the Intel Xeon E3 platform for our shared & reseller hosting nodes, intentionally and strategically so, for our customer’s benefit. This is done to leverage the high clockspeeds and single threaded performance the E3’s have to offer, in addition, you will probably notice the reseller hosting providers that use Dual E5’s pack thousands of accounts per physical server. We take a different approach to shared/reseller hosting, and put way less (much, much less) accounts per server, to provide better segregation, more diversity, and faster load times. In addition, we optimize our servers with LiteSpeed Web Server w/ LSCache to greatly improve load times, in addition to leveraging CloudLinux for maximum performance. We have quite a bit of physical servers available, and for those looking to order multiple accounts, we can certainly accommodate putting each account on a different physical server for additional redundancy and server diversity.
If you’re after a Dual E5 CPU our entire KVM VPS lineup is powered by Dual E5-2680 V2’s or better, and we can also make custom deals on AMD Ryzen 3900X VPS’s.
4. Good question regarding abuse, we simply act as the “middle man” same with any upstream, our job is to relay the abuse, in which case you may as well, and we simply awaiting your feedback regarding the reported abuse. Of course depending on the severity of abuse, we may have to temp suspend the offending site/IP, but we won’t for example simply terminate your entire reseller or client account. We believe in communication. DMCA’s as you mentioned are quite straightforward, remove the offending content, and or counter the DMCA. We do comply with US law. Again, we work with our end users through communication.
5. Lastly, upgrading resources is always possible. For example Our KVM VPS product line, additional RAM, vCPU, storage, can always be added, sometimes within the client portal but most of the time a simple ticket is required. We’d then discuss pricing with you and pro-rate the upgrades to match your current cycle. If desired, these add-ons can be added on a monthly billing cycle if preferred. And for let’s say our reseller hosting product line, upgrades such as additional cPanel accounts can always be added, to help you scale. We also work with our customers to provide them the best pricing possible, whether this means a single resource upgrade, or it may make better sense to upgrade to another plan, where you get more, for nearly the same price as a single resource upgrade. We aren’t sharks with upgrades, our goal is to help you grow.
Again, thank you for your interest in our services, and I hope we can work with you!
thanks for your very detailed reply. You’ve explained it very nicely.
I’ll buy KVM and reseller both plans in LA (as of now). And when there’s NVME/SSD on LA KVM, will upgrade or buy more at another US location in future. Regarding E3 I agree with your point. Dual E5s are heavily loaded by some hosts as they’ve 32+ cores and 32/64 GB RAM, and are not that cheap, so host may fit thousands of accounts!
BTW which is the datacenter for LA hosting? Is both KVM and reseller on same datacenter?
For time being the resources your KVM offers are generous. So I’ll stick to it! And will add anything further as and when required.
putting the order by today eve! :-)
Hi Neil, thank you for writing back. We’re looking forward to working with you.
In Los Angeles for our shared/reseller offering, we use Multacom. Awesome facility, with an awesome network. This location has been one of our most popular locations. Our KVM VPS are also deployed out of this facility/network.
Forgot to add the 6th question:
What is the port speed (1Gbps or less) and CPU allocation (100% of 1 CPU core) for LA reseller plan? I’m aware it will be fair-share use, but are there any soft limits to it?
Hi Neil! Good question. The network speed is set at 1Gbps, and fully burstable.
We do offer generous resource limits. Check them out:
CloudLinux Settings (per cPanel account):
CPU – 100%
I/O Limit – 80 MB/s
IOPS Limit – 15,000
Physical Memory Limit – 1GB
EPROC (Entry Processes) Limit – 200
NPROC Limit – 220
INODE Limit – No limit
We look forward to working with you!
thank you Sir!
BTW you accidently might have skipped my earlier questions. 1 to 5 :-)
Hi Neil, sorry about that.
Just replied to those.
Thank You again.
Lov’in me some RackNerd. Bought a cPanel package last year and this year a small VPS. Have not had any issues with the cPanel and has been a great experience. The VPS is very fast for it’s size and beats a Digital Ocean droplet any day.
Other people have been comparing to or wondering if RacKNerd is AlphaRacks. If they are, it is like day and night differences! Had many, many AlphaRacks accounts and I too got screwed. There is simply no comparison to the the two…
Hi Susan! Thank you for being an awesome customer of RackNerd. Happy to hear that the level of service we are providing is working out for your needs!
If you ever need anything, we’ll be here to help. Also, you can always email me at dustin@racknerd.com – I’d be happy to step in wherever needed.
we sincerely appreciate your business!

Racknerd absolutely owned black friday this year on LET!! Can’t believe their offer got over 140,000 views and 6000 comments that is insanity!
I ended up getting 7 VPS’s between their BF, CM, and flash deals. Very happy with the experience so far!
Hi john! Thank you so much for being a customer of RackNerd, as well as having multiple services!
We’re confident that you’ll enjoy each of those services. Appreciate you recognizing our LET thread as well, the community is amazing. What a great thread, by a great group of people.
@zakir Where is the server located that you did your test from?
@shawn its settle i think
GOOD NEWS!
Amsterdam is now live, this is EXCITING news for us! You guys are the first to know. We will be announcing this via social media shortly.
Looking Glass: http://lg-ams.racknerd.com/
Want to order in Amsterdam? Check these deals out and select Amsterdam as the location (select plans will have this location as an option). A small price attached, to cover the cost for this location.
https://my.racknerd.com/index.php?rp=/store/cyber-monday-2020
Im late to the party. Will Ashburn be replenished?
Hi Roy, thank you for your interest in RackNerd!
It is on the list, though we likely won’t have it in stock for a few weeks. These offers will be expired by then. So if another location can work as an alternative, we encourage you sign up.
Hi
i missed offer 1,5GB maybe you can restock again ?
Thanks
Hi Lunox, thank you for expressing interest in our services and our Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions. We have since sold thousands of these virtual machines, and we had to put them out of stock, as multiple locations sold out, in addition to that sale ending.
We do have a new promotion that is live https://my.racknerd.com/index.php?rp=/store/1212-promotions which soon will be out of stock as well, so be sure to grab one :)
We sincerely hope to work with you!
ohh out of stock ….
Anyone knows any other provider that gives vps with at least 512MB of ram for 12 usd a year ? Racknerds are sold out and i dont see any point in hosting small website on 3GB of ram or bigger… makes no sense
Removing comments if i ask for help on finding hosting for similar price ? Thats nice RackNerds…
Just so that you know guys, RackNerds are removing comments if you are asking for help
Nobody is removing your comments, they are just being pre-moderated I think, so they are not immediately added. And this site is not owned by RackNerd so they couldn’t remove your comments even if they wanted.
