Ralph, from VPSslim, has a few holiday season offers for LowEndBox readers.
128MB VPS
| BASIC VPS
|
VPSslim were founded back in 2010, however this is just their second offer on LowEndBox. Their supermicro servers are configured with the E3-1230v2 CPU, multiple SATA drives in a RAID-10 array and come with a minimum of 32GB DDR3 RAM. Comments on their previous offer were generally good with a lot of clients highlighting how fast their support is. On their ticket, they also mention a ’24/7 emergency number’ which may appeal to those of you who want the peace of mind of instant support. If you’re a customer of VPSslim, be sure to leave us a comment below detailing your experience.
They offer a full 7 days money back guarantee and and they offer a 99.99% Uptime guarantee. VPSslim accept payments via Bank transfers, PayPal or iDeal. VPN is allowed for personal use only, adult content is also allowed and TUN/TAP & PPTT can be enabled. When ordering, you can choose from quite a few different addons including bandwidth, software (Castcontrol, Centovacast and cPanel) and IP addresses. For More information, you may want to view their Terms of Service.

I signed up yesterday for one of their 1GB plans. Here’s the report of the ServerBear benchmark I ran:
http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/01/02/7svIo6F27ojZcptD
This is on node ‘VPSMAIN015’. Note that it displays 4 cores although the advertisement displays 2 cores. That has been fixed now according to VPSSlim. New clients will get just 2 cores, I was allowed to keep all 4 of them :)
My initial thoughts: Support is fast although the server is a bit sluggish at times, mainly due to high ioping. Network is fast. Not bad for the price.
Hi Freek,
Thank you for the Benchmark test and of course your order :)
The Promo-ode LEB-128M-VPS is not working!
The Website responds with:
# The promotion code entered does not exist #
Please try again now.
Lol am I reading this correctly, 2 IPv4 Address on the 128MB VPS plan? now that’s something rare you don’t see as not many hosts offering yearly vps with 2 IPv4 Address since they usually cost $1 per ip
Hi,
LEB staff corrected this the same day in the offer post. Though the Basic VPS does have 2 IPv4 addresses.
No mention in the TOS if IRC is allowed or not.
Hi,
You mean a private IRC chat?
IRC client or private IRC daemon, like inspircd, yes
For private use it’s allowed.
Where are the TOS?
Hi,
It’s posted in the offer text here.
BASIC VPS says it has 2 IPv4 addresses, but it only says 1 included in the shopping cart.
If I select 2 IP address, it adds an extra 24.00 EUR, but using promo code, it still totals to 29.88 EUR.
Do I proceed with that? Also, I tried selecting 3 IP addresses and the total is still 29.88 EUR. You might want to check on that.
Seems like an error in the shopping cart indeed. You don’t have to select 2 IPv4 addresses these are added without selecting. If you select 3 IP addresses or some kind of control panel as DirectAdmin, then we will make an extra invoice for these addons after your order.
Thank you.
Hello,
Are the following allowed on the 128MB VPS? (For personal use)
1- VNC Server
2- Squid Server
3- VPN Server (OpenVPN)
1. Yes
2. No (Squid Server is a proxy server)
3. Yes
I hope i’ve answered your questions.
I ordered two of the Basic VPSes yesterday, but only received one IP address per server. Is it possible to get the extra IP per server?
Hi Job,
Sure, no problem. You can open a support ticket under you client account.
Regards,
The Dutch site doesn’t offer annual payments.
At the ‘international .eu’-site, IDeal can’t be chosen to pay with, even when the Netherlands is selected.
Hi,
We will fix iDeal shortly, thanks.
Grabbed one to use as a sinatra sandbox/ host screen + irssi
vpsslim=hostslim?
Yup.
What’s the port speed on these?
Hi,
On the Basic? “1 Gbit connection”
Regards,
Just purchased one. My first support ticket reply was FAST! Will post more later when I have time to play with the vps.
Thank you for your order Niko!
128MB VZ is fast but support is faster :p
So far so good! Keep up that superior service!
Hi Shadesh,
Thank you for the kind words :)
I have one of each of these plans. So far so good, no complaints. Support is lightning fast as it looks like everyone else also experiences. Great work Ralph and the team.
Thank you for the kind words Oriona! :)
Just bought a Basic VPS
Not even 30€ for 100GB HDD space and two IPV4 addresses is quite a bargain
I have two problems though:
I specifically requested the VPS to have Gentoo on it and at first boot it has CentOS. COntrol panel though claims I have Gentoo on tha box which is false.
I already opened a ticket, let’s see how fast they are
Second problem: The second ipv4 IP is not configured
I’ll wait for them to move the box to Gentoo and then I’ll request the second ip
They **are** fast with tickets
The Gentoo template was not available in the VPS reinstall choices
They downloaded it and made it available
Thank you. We’re glad to hear that you are happy with your VPS + new added template. Welcome and thank you for your order!
Here I am again
@VPSSLIM has had some difficulties in setting up a working Gentoo template, and the one they finally chose is quite outdated and required some extra care on my side to get updated (nothin a seasoned Gentoo user would get scared from though)
On the plus side I still have to stress that their assistance proved to be very fast, polite and (most important) effective
They didn’t provision that second IP for me either. I put in a ticket and almost a day later, still no second IP.
Yay! Second IP! now for a little SSL. :) Thank you VPSSLIM.. GREAT offer!
Hi 8ing,
Thank you for the kind words and of course for your order :)
Should’ve been added already? As far as we know it is.
Hi, I am thinking about ordering the Basic VPS, but i noticed only CentOS 5.x is offered. Any chance CentOS 6.3 can be offered?
Thank you.
Hi,
We offer all Linux distro’s including 6.x
Thank you.
Does VPSslim allow bit mining?
For pre sale questions you can send an e-mail to our sales department. Thank you.
So we can ask about IRC and VNC here but not bit mining? I’m just going to assume the answer to this is no.
It was intended in general for sales inquiries. Not just for you alone.
Nice to hear things are going well for everyone. I will probably pick one up.
Hi Xei,
Thank you, we hope welcome you soon as a client :)
Is there a possibility to get an IPv6 address on the OpenVZ plan in NL ?
Hi,
Yes there is a possibility. You should open a ticket for that on our support department. Thanks Maarten.
OK, so I can get an IPv6 on the 128MB VPS plan – great :)
Is RDNS available on IPv4 & IPv6 ? Either trough the C/P or via support ticket ?
Hi Maarten,
rDNS is also possible. You should indeed open a ticket for that. Thanks!
IPv6 still not available one week after I subscribed. One need to be patient…
Yesterday passed exactly 5 months when I heard this first time :P So no, IPv6 IS NOT available.
Well, I had contact with them via email last night, and they expect to have it ready within 1 week from now… Fingers crossed.
Stop kidding, please… :)
Is this offer still availbale?
I clicked the links, but there is only 9.99E plan for Basic.
IF you go to checkout the coupon will show it’s reduced.
Hi Alex,
Indeed you should do just what Liam said. Thanks Liam!
At hostslim.NL I can pay with iDeal. At hostslim.EU I can only pay by paypal. Is there a possibility to pay by iDeal at the EU site?
Hi Ivo,
I’m sure we can work out something. Please contact our sales department and we’ll help you further. Thank you.
1. do you allow legal adult?
2. Will it be possible to install a trial version of cpanel?
3. do you offer any free or paid migration of cpanel based websites? Or free restoration form cpanel backup at least?
Hi ZamZam,
1. Yes we do.
2. You should be able to do if you have a trial license.
3. We need more specific details from you about this. So please e-mail our sales department.
Thank you.
Vps Is Down
The’ve sent an email a couple of hours ago, to inform about this…
I quote “We have to restart the node where your VPS is located within an hour due to some maintenance for IPv6 configuration and other configurations”. Well, VPS was reboonted but again just promises: sill no IPv6 configuration…
Hi Sofiane,
Thanks sander. We indeed sent a maintenance email to the clients.
@Sofiane you might try to reboot your VPS yourself, if that doesn’t work then please send us an e-mail.
Regards,
I’m Maarten, not Sander… but you’re welcome ;)
@Maarten my bad :) *Maarten
any more people unable to reach their vps?
i can from my other vps, but not from my isp(ziggo)
Hi Sander,
It should be just fine. We have recieved your ticket and will look into it. Thanks!
Is the price recurring? Like if I keep it over a year will my renewal price be the same on the Basic VPS?
I ordered the 1GB vps 24 hours ago and still didn’t get it. It’s pending.
I opened a ticked (#430426) and got a reply that it should be available in few hours (18 hours ago)
Please advise
Hi Ernesto,
All orders up till now are now activated. Thank you for your order!
I got the email with the details of the VPS but can’t access the CP link (https://vpsmain011.hostslim.nl:5656/) or from the client area.
Please e-mail us with your own IP address so we can check this for you, as it works fine here.
Thank you!
it’s working now
Ok great. Thanks for the update.
Hi Ernesto,
Please send us an e-mail with your own IP address so we can check this for you as it works fine here.
Thank you.
Server ordred since 24 hours. Not yet received :(
Hi Alisou,
We’re working on it. All orders will be provisioned accordingly.
All orders are now provisioned and new orders will be setup immediately (instant setup).

thanks
Hi Kntutero,
$5/Month?
I’m sure we can. Please open a ticket at our sales department. Thank you.
can i run application with java ??
Hi Sofiane,
You should be able to indeed.
Hi,
Bought yesterday VPS Basic (it is written 2 ip addresses, 2 cpu cores)
But
# cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor
processor : 0
only 1 core; and one ip address only.
I also emailed to support@vpsslim.nl
Thanks
Hi,
Can you confirm the ticket ID? Then I’ll look right into it. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I got no reply (and thus no ticket ID) on my email (to support@VPSslim.nl)
Here is my IP 5.178.64.179 if it helps
Regards
Hi Tigran,
That helped :) CPU + IP is added for you now. Thanks.
2VPSSlim: Can’t answer your comment, so write here.
I confirm the changes: now I’ve got 2 cores and 2 IPs.
Thanks.
PS. sorry, admins of LowEndBox for not following “Do not use LowEndBox for support issues”
Hi again,
Just bought another VPS basic; received a link for control panel
https://vpsmain07.hostslim.nl:5656/
but it does not log in with the given login/password.
I also suspect that there can be 1 ip and 1 core (instead of 2 ips and 2 cores), if it is the case, could you please correct?
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
Thats the wrong link so please contact our support as this is not our support helpdesk.
Hello,
Are this offer are recurring? i was planning to move may hosting.. yearly offer.(Basic VPS)
Hi Juan,
Yes it’s recurring.
yes they are, at least the big one.
@Norg I can’t reply your post so i’m doing it this way. I/O should improve in +- 15 – 30 min as the RAID is resyncing. Thank you for understanding. If you have any other difficulties then please open a ticket at our support dept.
Regards.
ah ok :) good to know that the issue is know and resolved.
I’m just waiting for my ticket response related to ipv6 but i got my second ipv4 really fast :)
@Tigran Ok thanks for the confirmation :)
Are all these gone now ?
On the order link for the 1gb i only see a cost of € 119.88 EUR Annually.
Would love to get one.
Hi Nik,
You should click on Checkout and then fill in the PROMO code.
Regards,
Just ordered one VPS Basic, not more that 10sec after i pressed pay on paypal got an email with the login information.
Really fast.
But i couldn’t access my VPS control panel, so open a ticket, 10min after a reply with the solution.
Now i´m just missing the extra ipv4 that i will like to change to a ipv6 instead.
Benchmark:
dd if=/dev/zero of=test.bin bs=64k count=4k conv=fdatasync
4096+0 records in
4096+0 records out
268435456 bytes (268 MB) copied, 2.28742 s, 117 MB/s
dd if=/dev/zero of=test.bin bs=64k count=4k oflag=dsync
917+0 records in
917+0 records out
60096512 bytes (60 MB) copied, 32.7416 s, 1.8 MB/s
Great price, recommended.
Hi Paulo,
Thank you for your order!
Is CentOS 6.3 64bit available for installing on the servers?
Couldn’t see that on the list.
Hi Yakir,
Yes it is. You can install that as OS on your VPS.
Is the price recurring? Like if I keep it over a year will my renewal price be the same on the Basic VPS?
Hi Gamebrew,
Indeed it’s recurring. Thanks!
Hi, my original goal was to use it as a test server for my upcoming “college’s end course project”, and some teamspeak with friends :P
But, is it ok to put some type of game server meanwhile? My “mini-cousins” are asking a lot about playing minecraft they four together. After tweaking it to do not eat everything of course.
Hi Ploppo,
Yes as long as it’s not taking too much I/O resources.
Well everyone was right about support response time – fairly quick.
Unfortunately there seems to be some kind of disconnect in there SolusVM setup, as using it to re-install my OS broke my network interface, and I don’t know if support knows a fix.
Hi,
Your ticket had been answered and your problem is fixed :)
Thanks a ton, I’m still not sure how my reinstall through Solus wrecked it – is the re-install usable for customers or did I break it?
Hi,
No you did not break anything. There seemed to be a problem with the IP you had with the routing, and the network install on your OS due to that IP. So you’ve got a new one and we did a re-install for you and the problem has been fixed.
Thanks.
Hello,
When can i get my account detail Invoice #2012698..
thanks
Hi Juan,
I’ll look into this for you.
I’ve opened two tickets.
Regarding the only one CPU, and only one IP address installed for some reason for my VPS.
I also created a ticket for the slow IO speed…
Please help.
All your tickets have already been answered.
This is not correct.
I still have only 1 CPU, and still have only 1 IP address.
Hi Yakir,
Ok. I’m sorry for that. It’s added now (IP+CORE).
Plus the IO is still slow.
Thanks for the IP+CPU.
But still slow IO speed.
My ticket on poor I/O from last night hasn’t been answered.
Hi Nik,
What is your ticket ID? Thanks!
Ticket ID: 941530
Found it :) Thanks!
Guys, guys… please…
there’s a green box that appears when leaving a reply…
It states (partially in bold): “Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there.”
I know it’s frustrating sometime, but if you’re subscribed to a blog-entry, it’s also kind of annoying to get spammed all the time ;)
Thanks for considering…
would like to say i had issues last 24 hours for which was sorted by ralph who replied to tickets within 5 minutes of making support and replies.
and was added the downtime back onto my service
for the FAIR price paid service is good and support great
Thanks X360. We always try our best to respond instantly :)
I will have to wait until tomorrow to have mine working. But support response was under 4 minutes!
In my case, support response was under 1 minute …
Hi Ploppo and Wiffel! Good to hear that our responses are fast and to your liking :)
UPDATE: if you have placed an order in the last 12 hours and it’s not yet activated, it will be within 24 hours as then new servers will arrive and will be placed in the datacenter.
Hi VPSSLIM,
What Base do you run on node wise?
E3-12xx?
RAID? BBU?
Hi Jack,
All this info is stated in the offer text.
Any news about the new servers? I’ve been waiting for more than the 24h hours now :/
Hi Jack,
Your VPS has been activated yesterday. Thanks.
UPDATE: IPv6 is activated. You can request IPv6 addresses through a support ticket.

You’re welcome :) Thank you for your patience.
Support is still fast, IPv6 also up, that’s also nice but the I/O Problem is annoying. Huge latency while working via SSH and doing updates, installing packages etc. takes for ever. Although i must say the connection itself is really fast.
Hey norg,
what node are you on ?
I can second what @norg says. Support is fast, IPv6 is now up altough the ‘tests’ involved with them setting up IPv6 wasn’t so great. Random time-outs of 15 seconds each at 8PM… Anyway yes the latency is annoying but it’s more ioping related than io-speed. IO speed is good as well as the connection.
I am on node VPSMAIN015 which is down at the moment….
Down at the moment ??? My server is very alive ;)
i’m on node 015 as Freek.
I’m currently getting:
root@dimetrodon ~ # dd if=/dev/zero of=test.bin bs=64k count=4k conv=fsync
4096+0 records in
4096+0 records out
268435456 bytes (268 MB) copied, 18.6526 s, 14.4 MB/s
Not the best ever, but more than acceptable for the price ;)
On VPSMAIN015
That’s strange, since mine is very down at the moment. No idea why, came out of the blue. Opened a support ticket.
Your ticket is answered. Node is not down, just your VPS.
Though you can reply on your support ticket because LEB is not used for support as subscribers on this post will get a lot of follow up emails as Maarten already mentioned. Thanks!
Still we’re working on improvements :)
I’m experiencing the same issue, but the situation seems to be improving
I sometimes have apache apparently waiting the filesystem seconds
Results I get are very varying
serverillo7 ~ # dd if=/dev/zero of=test.bin bs=64k count=4k conv=fsync

I am pretty sure VPSslim offered nice deal – 1GB RAM + 100GB HDD and 1TB band + blazing speed support for 40$ annually. However I do not recommend this VPS for any performance tasks.
This VPS seems to be completly oversold. I am using it for 2+ weeks and I notice significant performance degradation. IO greatly floats from 10MB/s to 100MB/s, CPU is dramaticly dropped. As a result any installation or update may take dozens of minutes. Even SSH has annoying server lags.
My node is VPSMAIN015. Сomparing to this benchmark http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/4083/hostslim-1gb-100gb-1tb-openvz-benchmark performance of my VPS dropped 3-4 x times :
UPDATE: All orders are provisioned now.
I liked the benchmark that Freek posted, so there is mine http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2013/01/17/FZgT08iKn1PtRDSC (go to first comment to see Freek’s one)
I am on node 016, I don’t know if the 1 vs 2 two cores the unixbench did is only showing a 8% improvement is normal… but network is FAST, and everything worked fine in this first day.
But there are two things i want to ask, like if there have been any improvements on node 015, or if there is any trick under this.
Hi Ploppo,
Thank you for the tests.
Is Ubuntu 12.04 also supported?
they have Ubuntu 12.04 openvz templates, yes
Hi Tom,
Yes we do indeed.
Got the 1GB version, performance very good so far :) Also quick response to tickets which is a big plus in my book!
Thank you Tom and thank you for your order!
I/O problems here too…very sluggish.
Ticket submitted, we’ll see if they can fix that.
Hi Borisko,
Your ticket(s) have been answered. Thank you.
All problems solved (for now).
Support was EXTREMELY helpful and fast. Thanks Ralph!
I/O and Support very sluggish!
My experience is different. Up to now, my support questions where picked up very fast and all my issues have been taken up and were resolved.
Also the price is very good, so is the amount of disk space, the network speed and the allocated processor time.
I also had some problems with disk IO earlier this week. But I think they did add a new node to tackle that problem.
Since yesterday I can no longer complain about the disk IO. The access to the disk is almost always around 0.1 ms and the bandwidth is close to 1 GB/s most of the time. I guess that this will also change when more VPSes are allocated to the new nodes. But for the moment I my VPS is behaving very well.
Thank you for the kind words wiffel.
@John can you give me a ticket ID? I’m pretty sure we have answered the ticket not long after you opened it.
I can second that. Had problems, but all were solved quick and proper.
I hope that will stay so and we will make business again (and recommend too).
Hi Borisko,
Thank you for your friendly replies :)
I must say that the vps worked totally fine to me. And if i got a missing vswap, just sent a ticket and support fixed it in blink of an eye.
But the only thing i’m getting troubles with, is the “full 7 days money back guarantee”. What I expect it’s some kind of confusion, cause paypal and my emails says i’m still under the 7 days, and I’m not really into time traveling.
2 hours remaing till the time limit :/
Hi Ploppo,
We’ve found your ticket and will take care of this.
Thanks!
Just ordered one basic for holding irc, too bad gentoo images doesn’t work (yes I’m gentoo freak) ;_; but well rest is fast and reliable so far :)
Hi Trinh,
Thank you for your order! :)
After a couple of days I can only say I am impressed with the level of performance and support I got for this bargain price :) Both disk and network is very fast for me.
On top of that VPSSlim replies very fast to tickets and actually solves them :) I didn’t get the second IPv4 and no IPv6 and both were resolved in record time. The same applies to ReverseDNS, they were more than helpfull in setting that up as well! I can only recommend VPSSlim :)
(got the 1GB/100GB VPS)
Hi Tom,
Thank you for the kind words! We’re happy that you like our products :)

More than fast enough for my taste :)
what node is that?
and thats still going on?
Whats about 15-th node? (VPSMAIN015) Will be any performance improvements?
I’m on the same node “VPSMAIN015′ and it’s also very slow.
@Sander @Grigory @ToyToy It should be improved now. Some people are testing the I/O pretty bad and that makes the node also slower of course.
Thanks!
I have buy two server. And i decide to keep just one.
Im waiting for refund second server since 10 days. No reply…
Looks like we are on the same boat, i’m waiting for my refund too, but didn’t showed recently.
Maybe he just got extra busy. Even if he can reply support tickets in less than one minute, he’s human too.
Hi Ploppo,
Working on it :) Thanks!
Hi Alisou,
Thanks for the heads up! Working on it now.
is VPSMAIN015 still being punished with i/o tests then?
Hi Sandoz,
Not anymore no.

Hi Sandoz, please contact our support dept. so we can have a look for you. Generally LEB is not used for support. Thank you very much!
They said in pre-sale question that IPv6 is available (half year and so ago). And then it started…
04/08/2012 22:01 – So should I connect 4 IPv6 addresses to your VPS? Let me know
05/08/2012 14:18 – IPV6 will be available on your VPS in a few hours.
07/08/2012 23:02 – It will be available from tomorrow.
08/08/2012 22:38 – When I hear more from my collegue I’ll let you know.
11/08/2012 09:38 – I’m sorry. I thought my collegue Jordi already assigned this for you.
28/09/2012 17:49 – I’ve just answered your other ticket about this. Again, we’re very sorry for the delay!
03/10/2012 10:04 – Ipv6 will be added today.
20/12/2012 10:58 – We’re going to deploy new nodes with Ipv6 and will update the other nodes accordingly…
22/01/2013 15:08 – I told you we would offer it :) Unfortunately you did not believe us. How much do you need?
25/01/2013 13:45 – This is a notification to let you know that we are changing the status of your ticket #963848 to Closed
25/01/2013 14:34 – I’m very sorry for the automatic ticket closure. This is not meant to happen and I don’t know why It did. I re-opened your ticket thanks!
And still no IPv6 of course. What a clowns…
Spirit,
Correction. You have IPv6 right now. We had to update all the nodes with IPv6 addresses and as you were on one of the not IPv6 ready nodes, we had to manual update this and this costed some time to update all nodes.
Thank you for your patience though!
How hard is to be honest with client? You should say half year ago that IPv6 isn’t available yet (and I wouldn’t even bother with this) instead fooling around with “it will be today/tomorrow/how many address do you need” over last half year. I wouldn’t even post here if I would get atleast one serious/valid ticket reponse.
Hi Spirit,
You indeed had to wait way too long and we have explained you why. Luckily your IPv6 is working right now as you confirmed us in your ticket. Again, we’re very sorry for the delay caused for you personally.
Regards,
Any test file link please ?
Rgds,
Hi,
Thank you for your post. Do you mean a speedtest? Please contact our support so we can send you the info you need.

Will run a trial for 7 days, but hopefully I’ll be happy with my purchase :)
Hi, i just got the year package on the higher end vps, great price! coupon is still good :)
Will run a trial a few days, and make sure the box is stable, but hopefully I’ll be happy with my purchase :)
Might get a second box if this one is good. Also how do we request IPV6?
Thanks
Hi EBPC,
Thank you very much for the kind words and your order :) By default you get 2 IPv6 IP addresses and you can request more by opening a ticket.
Regards,
I just got the “Basic VPS” offered here.
First thing to be said: They are friendly and react more or less quickly.
It seems to be difficult to get the 2nd IPv4 that comes with the package, though.
The VPS is simply *lousy*.
When I worked on it the connection got interrupted quite often, sometimes after less than 15 min. The system is snail-slow and it’s just a pain in the a** to work on it.
I did, however, not yet cancel my order because Ralph and his colleagues seem to be nice guys and it might well be that the server on which my VPS sits just (or still) experiences difficulties that they guy are working on. It would seem unfair to me to judge a VPS finally after just some hours.
I also got myself a Prometheus 2-pack (KVM 512 MB and VZ0 128MB, see review at their offer) and I can say that the Prometheus 128 MB VZ0 is *by far* better, faster, and way more reliable (at comparable cost to VPSslim offers).
So stay tuned to see how things look once the VPSslim guys had a chance to get their machine working/tuned.
Hi Mr. Pragma,
Thank you for the kind words about our support. I see your ticket has been resolved and the additional features are added.
About the server interruptions you are talking: We’re very sorry for this and we always try to give the best quality for the best price possible. We try to resolve this as soon as possible and will update you personally when this is resolved. (It must be way better right now so I hope you can give our support some update on this).
We really thank you for your patience and trust in us and we will try our best to make you happy again :)
Regards.
I’m still waiting for the promised refund :/
Hi Ploppo, do you have a ticket ID for me? I’ll look at it right away and fix this for you.
It’s the old tid=157385 from a month ago. Which has been delayed many times to the point that i’m feeling nervous about the money. But this last delay, maybe is my dumbness’s fault, but keep it a secret :P
Hi Ploppo. I see there has been taken care of :) Thank you.
No, thank you for keeping the secret :P
All fixed now. By the way, your support is faster than me replying comments.
Heres my serverbear benchmark:

Hi Nik,
Can you please contact our support as you should be able to have way better benchmarks.
Thank you.

Nik
Found the ticket! Thanks.
Hi, could you help to check my account? I placed an order yesterday but so far my account is still not available.
Hi Ivan,
Did you open a ticket? Is yes it should’ve been replied.
Thank you for your order!
Somehow my account doesn’t exist in your system. Please take a look HostSlim Europe – invoice# 2013419 and Paypal transaction ID# 4MU47145LF7125221.
I have submitted a Ticket #976858
Hi Ivan,
Ticket recieved & answered :) Thank you.
Cannot link test IP.
Hi lytblog,
Are you sure? Can you try it again? Thank you.
oh,is ok now
Sadly the performance and support responses have not been good since day one with this.
I have open four or five cases complaining about performance and I just get emails back saying “is it better now?” and sadly it never is.
Based on this I have requested a refund which I think has been refused, with the reason “we are working on a fix”. I don’t expect much for this money, but it needs to at least work, and quite frankly this doesn’t work.
If they aren’t able to provide at least an ETA to plan towards for a fix, then I don’t think a refund is an unfair request.
DISAPOINTED VPSSLIM :(
I also can confirm that i’m not really happy with this VPS. I mean it’s 12 bucks a year but a ticket needs now 24hours to answer? IPv6 connectivity is broken since yesterday and it looks like nobody cares about it… rebooting over the control panel works, works not, works, works not and so on… I/O is always under massive pressure and lot more issues….
Hi @Nik @Shade We are very sorry to hear this and want to apology for this. We always want our clients to be happy and satisfied, apperently we failed in this for you two.
IPv6 is fixed for you both and should work and your tickets have been answered.
We hope that you will be satisfied with us in the near future and will do everything to accomplish this.
Let me say, sorry, but no. IPv6 still was broken, no address was added through system boot, even it was in the interfaces config… the long awaiting IPv6 reverse dns was still not set and so on… i say here “was” because i chanceled this VPS today. Hope other enjoy this hoster more then me.
I have the 12€/year service and it works great! There have been some downtimes, but you will receive an email explaining the reasons. There had recently RAM issues and apparently the VPS was down for some hours (I wasn’t using it at the time) and I have even been compensated for the downtime with 3 extra days.
BUT they are clear and radical. Torrent for not-so-legal stuff and your account is immediately suspended. On the other hand, no problem with private proxis (for example to encrypt your data when using a WIFI hotspot), and very high bandwidth.
I do not know the other people, but my support ticket was like a real-time conversation.
Hi Edu,
Thank you for your review. It has some very helpful information. Thanks.
What about DCMA report ? Will you accept it ?
Hi Jibon, are you hosting files that are against DMCA rules then?
Very very slow vps. I am about to ask for a refund.
Yea, I’m about leave them too. Been almost a year and have been lucky to see up times in the 90 percent. I have two boxes on two nodes and I won’t be renewing.
Slow compared to what?? A high-end Amazon instance? In my experience (half a year with them) and a very occasional (and not very demanding) usage, it goes GREAT for 12€/year (this last part is important! Remember what you are paying!). If you find it slow you might want to consider to upgrade your VPS.
I have no relation with them (just a normal client), but it upsets me how people has unrealisticaly high expectations specially with (ultra)low-cost services. Anything other than a Raspberry Pi in a dial-up modem are making them LOSE money!
Slow compared to what? A snail? even then yes..
And yes folks, you are getting what you are paying for.. Don’t expect much here..
Unrealistically high expectations? Is it high expectations to expect to be able to use it?
Hi Edu,
Thank you for the kind words. I know the speed + performance improved the last 6 months. So we’re curious about your current experiences. Hope everything is going well!
Yes, that’s true. Very poor performance compared with Edis. Not recommendable.
