NameCrane is in acquisition mode! Francisco Dias – famous from BuyVM days of glory – recently posted on LowEndTalk that the firm is actively looking to acquire shared and reseller hosting firms. If you’ve got that kind of business for sale (either all of your enterprise or part of your operation that you want to cleave off), this might be worth a discussion.
There are some parameters, which are pretty reasonable. They’re not looking for people who’ve pumped their business up with crazy, unsustainable offers, nor companies that heavily rely on lifetime offers. They also don’t want scammers, fraudsters, people using nulled licenses, and the like.
Other than that, anything is fair game.
A lot of people who’ve put love, care, blood, sweat, and tears into their babies want to see them land in good homes. They also care about their customers and don’t want to dump them off to someone who’s going to trash the hosting. I think with NameCrane, your customers will be in good hands. They also have the size and financial heft to make a fair, solid transaction. Of course, do your due diligence but I don’t think you’re going to get burned with NameCrane the way you might be with shakier hosts who’d want to do an earn out.
