I bought the LITE BASIC OVZ yesterday, and it has been down and unable to boot for at least the last 6 hours. The control panel is very slow and there has been no response yet for my ticket.
Same here @dicta: I set up the 34usd/yr vps a couple of days ago. Connection stability was intermittent but overall stable. Now it’s been down for about 20hrs, does not boot up, login to control panel takes forever (when it works) and no reply to email. I understand it’s cheap, so maybe slow, but at least it should be online :D
Same here, however they’ve been very quick to answer the ticket I filed. They say it’s a problem with the node and they’re trying to fix it.
Yup, same here again. Official info was that if any user wanted their VPS moved to another node, they would lose all their data but the VPS would be online yesterday afternoon. I opted for that, since I just setup the server a couple of days ago and nothing on it was irreplaceable, but I’m still waiting.
I finally got mine setup on a new node. Hopefully it stays up this time.
I’m sure they are slammed, which is why I’m not too upset about it. If this new node has downtime, I’ll report back.

I am an happy customer of HostSlim, I have one LITE BASIC OVZ from already 8 months. They are suffering an outage just now. I think Ralph is a bit busy, so ticket responses are suffering too. Give them some time and another chance. In my personal experience the vps work really fine.
Sure, all that’s happening now might just be bad timing. I’m not saying the service is bad, just documenting what’s happening.

I would not recomend this host, my vps have been unavailable for 72 hours now and still is down.
On the upside contact with the support have been good, they reply quickly.
But 72hours to fix a raid array this raid array must have been on fire for it to take this long,I mean since this is virtual machines they should be able to just move them to a different node.

I’m up and running now, but lag is almost unbearable: you type a command and it shows 10-20secs later.. Sometimes 1 minute, or more. And sometimes it just stops responding and I have to reconnect..
This is almost resolved now.
We have a small VPS server with WLS that we plan to migrate out. We noticed one of your plan recently posted at LEB is pretty attractive and have some questions about it.
1. Will it be possible to get a trial version of CPanel installed free of cost with VPS?
2. Do you offer free vps migration? (Our vps is about 80 GB CPanel based but cpanel license has expired)

1) 15 days trial is possible.
2) We do offer migration, just not for free as it takes our employees time to migrate your vps from your other provider.
I had used this company 13 months and just renewed the service. Now I regret very much on this. They have service down for days and may be years because they are not intended to bring the service back on line. After days waiting I chase their support and found they lost all my data and cannot bring it back unless I pay thousands to try to recover the data with no guarantee. No backup became their excuse for lost all your data, read and judge yourself on this service.

There was a problem with the original node and they created a new vps for me on another one, but the specs were all wrong (like too little RAM and HDD). I’m particularly interested in SWAP space you get.

1. bought vps with 4 additional ips (they give me only 2)
2. server more offline then online.
3. incompetent support took 5 days to get rdns

I see you did not pay for 4 additional IPS. You ordered this promo discount and then tried to order all the additional services for free. Unfortuantely it does not work that way. It already is a great offer.
rDNS takes aprox. 24 hours to propagate and due to a lot of tasks it may have taken a bit longer then usual for you, which I apology for.
I really cannot recommend them at all. Very poor communication. Good luck getting your money back – they offer 14 day money back guarantee but will do everything not do honour it.
There are so much better VPS providers out there tmzvps for one!
In addition to my comment, I should add the the advert is a lie. It is not 4TB bandwidth but 1TB. And they will not honour it despite the advert stating 4TB.

I had a VPS with these guys for around a year and a half and it was terrible. Very poor IO and network performance, and my VPS was often unreachable. I tried opening a support ticket and Ralph played the “is it better now” game, where he would claim to have made a change, and asked “is it better now?” It never got better so I gave up asking.
Also when I cancelled my service I accidentally sent an extra month’s payment. I asked them for a refund and they claimed they were “looking into it”. I never did get it back. Oh well, glad to be rid of them, there are much better providers out there.

I ordered the LITE BASIC OVZ with some extras, but I received none of these extras. I afterwards opened a support ticket to use their advertised money back guarantee, which they ignored. Now they deleted my vps and I paid money for nothing. Even PayPal won’t get me my money back, because it’s a virtual good.
