Hi! just got 1GB VPS. Is there any option to install a bare/core OS like 12.04 or 14.04 without apache/samba/sendmail? I want to start from a base install so that I will only install the apps I need.

    • We utilize the templates provided by OpenVZ. We will look into this and see if we can get some minimal templates going.

Will post an update once they respond to my ticket.

Any chance of being able to run docker containers on these VPS? I know openvz is traditionally hard for docker, but with newer kernels it should be possible yeah?

    November 27, 2016 @ 11:12 pm | Reply
    • We have done it in the past and can try to get you hooked up once the VM is up and running. Simply choose centos-7-x86_64 as the OS, open a ticket, and we’ll get the process started.

      Thanks!

I ordered (2G plan), got information, everything works great so far. Another nice plus, their SolusVM config actually allows setting your own rDNS as opposed to the standard “please contact support” most implementations usually show.

  16. Just waiting activation.

I have plenty uses for this, is Icecast allowed? I never hit loads for 1.0 (nor higher) in my current box.

    I got one of these.

Good news: Deployed with no problems. I see some lag, but it’s mostly working as advertised.

Bad news: Really amazing security holes. VPS ip, username, and password were all emailed to me in plain text in the same message (wat?). Control panel for managing VPS can’t be served over HTTPS (wat?). C’mon guys…
