RackNerd Cyber Monday

RackNerd, a well known top provider who had an exceedingly popular Black Friday event over at LowEndTalk (with well over 350k views!), recently submitted their new Cyber Monday deals to share with the LowEndBox community. RackNerd is an active contributor within the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk community.

RackNerd’s Cyber Monday KVM VPS offers are based on KVM Virtualization, meaning your resources are more or less dedicated to your VPS, and you have the flexibility to run your own kernel. RackNerd also mentioned that some KVM VPS plans are available in 6 different datacenter locations: Los Angeles, San Jose, Dallas, Chicago, New York or Seattle.

All plans are instantly set up after payment. RackNerd is a registered business, with real office space (you can view their office photos here). They accept various payment methods, some targeting certain countries, which is awesome.

    I got a $8.49 and 1 GB on 11-1 and 1 GB on Blackfriday.

I will say the 512mb works just as well. It has 512mb swap. Good bargain and is not some slow server backend.

    Pay with crypto is fun

I am still using last year’s $13.99/year for 1.5GB, waiting for Ryzen VPS to get restocked with Amsterdam location. :D

I really hope they start upgrading to bigger 4TB ssds and then allocate more SSD disk spaces.
Would not mind +25% on price if the SSD disk space got doubled.

    November 30, 2021 @ 12:47 am | Reply
    • Hi Di Wu, we are open to customizing solutions (we wouldn’t want to offer more as a standard in terms of storage as this would drive cost naturally up for everyone) which of course may not be a resource everyone needs, so to keep cost low, and deals interesting we alter them. I do like the idea though, perhaps we can create some higher tiered storage deals that are limited time/limited qty.

Hey Dustin, I would be up for a low spec but larger storage option to use as a backup and storage unit. 512mb 100G storage maybe?

Bought one 512 MB KVM VPS

Then tried to buy another one and was told “We cannot accept product 512 MB KVM VPS (Cyber Monday) order, because you have maximum of this product in your account already!”

    Limit one per account?

Bought the 2Gb one in LA last night and it has no right being this good. I’m getting 45ms ping times and about 960Mbps in bandwidth between the server and my house.
