Alex from US-based Fliphost sent in an offer for some of his SSD KVM based packages in Los Angeles, California!
SSD LEB2
| SSD LEB3

Note: All prices are prorated, so the checkout price may appear less than the recurring amount. Also once stock is sold out the promotion will end.
We’ve all seen the abundant 2GB RAM OpenVZ offers, but rarely do we see a KVM equivalent which Fliphost are providing today. Fliphost were founded in June 2011 and have since been purchased by Query Foundry. They do run as an independent brand, though. They have featured back in May 2013 with a 1TB storage plan, so they’re not new to ‘going overboard’ with resources. They have also had a popular dedicated server offer a while back. Alex informs us that the servers they run are Dual E5-26XX’s with 128GB RAM and 8x Intel 520 SSDs in hardware RAID10 with the LSI 9266/9271 card. It is also worth noting that these KVM special plans can be ordered yearly for the price of 10 months, if you submit a ticket for it.
Fliphost have thrown in a few ‘bonus’ services such as their self restore backup system (OpenVZ only at the moment), free Rage4 Anycast DNS and Offloaded SQL (available with a ticket). It does seem IPv6 is lacking at the moment however. Payments are made through PayPal and refunds are processed on a case by case basis. Prohibited activities are simply anything illegal in the US, as well as Tor exit nodes and anything that can affect the performance of your neighbours on the node. As always do read the ToS before purchasing.

Just as a note, more disk can be added for $.50 per GB
In case anyone was wondering, yes, it is Quadranet via ColoCrossing.
That is correct. Our LA KVM offering is currently Quadranet via Colocrossing. Once we finish up our owned setup in our Dallas location we will shift our eyes to the LA location and migrate them our own network and hardware in LA.
Can I add more ram? and for how much?

Sorry, Can you please speak English please?
You can either use our Windows trial template or we can mount a windows ISO on request
Do you accept credit card as payment method?
Notr: PayPal do not accept my country and hence I don’t use them.
Thanks.
Hi, not at this point. Will be in the future.

Yes Our servers do
If you would accept Bitcoin, you’d have a customer.
It’s planned, but not at this point. Thanks for the interest.

$1 per Additional IPv4
how much are your extra IP addresses?
We can do them for $1/month each. Raise a support ticket if required.
Do you support other ISO’s? (external would be fine)
Would be keen for FreeBSD or Arch. Not sure which yet :)
Yes we do. Just open a ticket and we will get it mounted for you
cool, i got it with ubuntu to start just to have a play, opened a ticket just now. speeds seem pretty good :)
Glad you are happy so far. Just ticket us if you need anything more
can you increase SSD disk space more big meybe 20 or 25GB sir
Yes we do custom plans. Additional disk is $.50 per GB
Forgot to post my benchmark. It’s pretty good if you ask me. Here it is:
Thanks for the benchmark.
I hope you continue to enjoy your server
One question: are you reselling the VPS or you are not direct customer or Datacenter; what I can see is New Wave NetConnect the owner of the IP’s for your VPS, after searching for reviews about this company I have got many of them are bad! Just asking because I am interested to buy 2!
We are not a reseller. Colocrossing is the owner of the IPs. We are a customer of NWN who is with colocrossing.
We fully own our hardware and network in Dallas TX and once we complete our setup in Dallas we will be doing the same in LA.
Server provisioned and ready-to-use within 1 minute of payment.
*Very* fast read/write and network speeds.
My VPS is running Ubuntu, PHP, MySQL, PHPmyAdmin, Apache, Perl, Webmin and custom PHP systems with no problems or stress.
The speeds are incredibly good, almost unbelievable, from here in Australia.
Very happy.
Happy to hear you are enjoying your server. If you would need anything more just open a ticket with us.
I booked a VPS after seeing this offer. I was able to install a custom ISO(Slackware) within minutes after opening a ticket.
Great service, great speed. I would recommend this.
Happy to hear. If you need anything just open a support ticket.
I am not able to login via ssh. Connection is refused. What might be the reason? I tried with the root password set at first, for the first two times, the same credentials didn’t work. Now it doesn’t connect.
Hi, this isn’t an official support forum. Please contact support if help is required.
Bring back the 1TB storage special ;)
Sorry, those won’t be back, at least not for $7/month.
in a few years maybe?
Maybe. However despite disk sizes increasing, like 4TB or 6TB HDD, there’s increased cost in keeping the integrity of the data. It’s getting to a point where prices won’t drop for a while but increase until certain hurdles are worked out.
Damn, was definitely the best storage offer that’s been seen on LEB/LET!
Damn, I am late.
Contact sales and you might be able to still get something :)
I ordered, but I can’t pay? it’s always show up paypal error..
This is a problem on paypal’s end. Usually resolves itself if you try again in a few hours.
Any chance for a Fliphost fan?
For what? If you’re looking for stock, contact sales and we might still be able to get you something.
Both SSD LEB2 & LEB3 plans are currently out of stock.
Contact sales and you might still be able to get something.
I’m using the $7 2GB one, and no problems really other than random network lags for a few minutes (only once or twice a week, three times tops). Other than that, its great. IO is fantastic and the processor is decent as well.
We’ve escalated it upstream and making other plans on resolving this.
Out of stock?

Email sent.
Using SSD LEB2, happy, glad to hear that you escalated the networking issue, the speeds are fine but I do get a substantial latency jump at a certain point.
Will recommend :)
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll see what we can do about the latency and network issue. It’s been a major pain point for us.
Wanted to mention that offloaded sql is no longer offered.
