People are sometimes amazed when they learn that they can get a VPS for only a few dollars a month, especially if their previous shopping experience was with Amazon’s AWS pricing calculator.  When they learn that they could be paying as little as $1 per month, they faint!

• On KVM, not OpenVZ for better isolation

Keep in mind that because of transaction fees and payment processing costs, providers are going to charge the full year, so expect to pay the $12 up front.  But still – even if the provider completely disappears after 6 months, you’ve got your money’s worth.
