Zappie Host LTD is a registered company in the UK under registration number 09481676 and were founded earlier this year. They initially launched with a Canadian location and have now added New Zealand to that. The coupon code ‘H05RLJUU36‘ applies to both New Zealand and Canada-based offers, though only the former have been listed. Zappie Host is represented by a small team who run their own network (AS61138) and are both ARIN and RIPE members. In Canada OVH’s network is being used, whereas their own infrastructure is being used in New Zealand. If you’re not that interested in the 50% discount you can use the coupon ‘FREE-SHIRT‘ to get a free Zappie Host T-Shirt!

Payments are accepted using PayPal and bitcoins. All nodes have E5 CPUs and use RAID10 for their disks. They do not use SolusVM but a control panel integrated within WHMCS. I’m not sure if that means no SolusVM is being used at all, but it any case it is convenient. There’s a 5-day no questions asked refund policy in place, unless you breach their Terms of Service (which you should read before ordering)!

      • We have contacted them (along side a few others) to submit the corrections, Shouldn’t take too long until these will be corrected. Feel free to do either a traceroute or a whois on the IP address to see their Auckland GeoLocation in the meanwhile.

          Hi!

It is interesting you have Belarusian IPs.

If I may ask, why do the IPs show up as Belarus? There isn’t any LIR in Belarus that would lease or sell RIPE prefixes to my knowledge. The situation is pretty difficult there.

          • William:

Many LIRs in Belarus currently sell their prefixes.

    • We have submitted the correction a few days ago to all the major GeoIP database companies. It shouldn’t take longer than I a week to see these corrections kick in I would imagine.
If you want assurance that the servers are located in New Zealand, please feel free to look at the traceroutes for the test IP addresses :)

  10. We are running really low on the allocated stock we had for the smaller plans. We will be placing in a new server host node in the dataceneter this coming weekend (18th July) to and have the deal continue for a while longer :)
[So just in case you miss out on the Starter and Medium NZ plans, we will be putting in more stock in a few days. We just did not expect such a demand for the smaller plans we have going]

    Cheers,
    Adam

Outbound routes is only via Vocus. :( Do you plan on using Telstra for outgoing traffic? It is a little disappointing – Vocus is a heavy peer of Cogent and Hurricane Electric.

    July 13, 2015 @ 12:56 pm | Reply
    • @Lucas Yes this is on the cards in the coming day or two (for both outbound and inbound). Its depending how fast Telstra get their things in order, but we are hoping a day or two, not more.

    • Currently only the “starer” plan is out of stock, and we are planning to also add a server very soon to do some more future proofing.

UFB is pretty sweet, however costs ~50 times more than the plans above :P

My UFB is 1000/500mbit, unlimited data, VOIP landline and with IPv6 all for only $99, I can stack a shedload of PC’s behind my Fritzbox without lagging down the connection lol
