It did not state that you need to buy the control panel, but rather buy any VPS with control panel (which DA comes for free) — thus also qualifies the $6.30/month VPS for free Softaculous? Not that I use any control panel so those would be no use for me, but in theory they might need to honour DA + Softaculous from their ad write-up.
Domain registered in August. Adjacent NS, and ikr pointed out this WHT discussion from our previous post — seems to be a hosting business with a stormy start.

it seems the Softaculous is included with the DA. however, I’m waiting 5 days already to “fix the issue with licensing” as it shows up as Free (a.k.a. only for one domains) instead of Premium version. Every day I am given some excuse and so far it looks like they are waiting for the 15 days to end, when I won’t be able to claim my money back anymore.
fixing a license issue takes couple hours max, not days. I have few more vpss with Softaculous, and I know how fast their support is

Yes we had a issue with the Softaculous on your IP. We fixed the issue today and have had no reply. So i guess it works? The delay was that Softaculous was thinking we are adding all these to full dedicated servers and not vps servers. We had to show them that these are vps servers and they only reply to me one time aday about the issue. We are looking for a new way of getting our licenses. All he could think about was money that is not what we are about yes you would need to make money on any company but you need to think about the customer’s before you think about money or anything like that. I signed up for FE toward the end of last month, and have to say that I am surprisingly happy with it. I got the free DirectAdmin, and it works for my 10-ish domains, so I guess it is okay.
They activated my account over 16-20 hours on the weekend, and I haven’t done a lot beyond setting up a few blog DBs and migrating my main static site. The performance so far is good; occasionally at the beginning there were some I/O hiccups on the console but I haven’t seen it in web serving or my small databases. CPU speed is great, and for the money there is plenty of RAM and disk space; working on filling mine before you lot get in and throughput has been consistent. :) No downtime so far.
Overall I’m happy enough, and intend to finish up and point all my DNS to the sites on this server, and kill off another very low end account. I will definitely rsync frequently with my local server in case they go belly-up, but it seems to be cost-effective so far.

Thanks for the kind feedback good or bad… Yes it took that much time to get the account setup due to DA.. -Server’s are setup within 1-15 minutes. However due to DA licensing which has to be done manually it can take up to 12-24 hours for the control panel to actually be installed. After we get the License we install it and that only take us about 30 minute’s. You are safe with us we will take care of you:-)

Actually I meant the time as a compliment, I wasn’t really expecting any traction until Monday – I don’t work on the weekend and so I was pleasantly surprised you all did, and for as little as you are making off me at that. I was with my last host for several years after they ran out of DC space for new VMs, and I hope you guys are around that long – moving is not a process I like to do. I just feel the need to plan for it in this era of low margins. :)

WHT bans for any reason. I was banned for complaining about a 23% uptime from one of their advertisers. Was actually polite, provided docs and references. Still happened and they refused to discuss it.

A few days ago I went back on the market for a low end VPS. My Current provider had let me down quite a bit with downtime and going away when I came to the page so I could not talk in live chat. 9 Hours of downtime in one day. I was done and started looking. I found FEHosting.com Here at LowendBox.com, I was a little worried because of the ownership thing over at WHT but the prices were right and I tried them out. I am happy I did Because Micheal has been there every step of the way. I’ve prob opened enough tickets he knows my information by heart. It took some time for my VPS to be set up because the DC I chose was out of IPs, But I chose a different DC and a few mins later I was up and running. THis is my third day and everything seems to be running good. Because of my last vps Provider I was very picky and Micheal still walked me through everything.
I am not very knowledgeable about VPSs or how to install things via SSH but I just opened a ticket and it was installed for me since I purchased the Budget VPS that is semi managed.
I would recommend them to someone else anytime

I bought a VPS at fehosting for about a half month ago. And so far I am satisfied with their services. I got for 8 bucks/month 50 GB space, 300 GB bandwith and 1 gb guaranteed/1,5 GB burst ram, 3 IP addresses, DirectAdmin licenc, Softacolous licence and a server located in the EU, which is really important for me. My VPS is pretty fast. Their support is just great they answer the tickets in minutes and provide helpful answers. I hope they will provide the same service level after month or years too.
