- 128MB memory
- 10GB storage
- 250GB/month data transfer
- Xen
- Free AlphaSSL certificate
Servers in Chicago. Have to admit that it is one of the least informative offer on WHT — no mention of virtualization technology at all. I said that it is “Xen” as an “educated guess”, as it only supports up to Ubuntu 9(.04) so possibly they are running Xen PV on CentOS 5 boxes. The price would be too expensive for an OpenVZ box anyway. No test IP but I am guessing SingleHop. Free SSL certificate can be attractive, but those are at $10/Year a pop so not big deal.
Domain has been around since April this year, owned by an UK guy who runs RouteNinetyFour.com (a design shop since 2009).
Does the banner remind anyone else of GoatCX?
Francisco
argh. Good pickup.
The proper response shoulda been “MY EYES!”
:D
Looks like a pretty decent deal…!
A little concerned though – shouldn’t it read Dedicated RAM instead of CPU on the “VPS-Packages” page?
Looks like it.
They give a test server IP in the KB: 184.154.35.173 (rDNS is server1.breezehost.net )
they reseller breezehost.net
Neat trick when Breezehost are offline. :)
Free domain name as well. Granted those are just $10 a year or so like the ssl cert but you don’t see that that often on this level.
Free domain comes with a free ssl cert @ namecheap
er, buying a domain*
Note that Free SSL Cert is only for 1 year.
If you just need cheap domain, register *.INFO which is 1.99/year or 3.99/year depend on the company. Godaddy offer 1.99/year for .INFO.
