Via this WHT offer. I have not seen many “64MB VPS deal” lately, but UK-based LogicIdea has just released one. Use promo code NOV2010 to get 25% recurring discount on all their VPS packages, which brings the cheapest one to $5.63/month. Here is the Sign up page.
- 64MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
- 1GB storage
- 30GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ
Their website appears to be hosted with Gyron Internet Ltd in UK. Not much data on their website on who they are. Although the domain has been registered since 2004, the copyright notice points out that they might have been founded in 2009.
Not really sure anyone would care anyway. Although 64MB is truly low-end (this blog starts on a 64MB box running Debian 4 with Lighttpd), this day and age you can get much better deals — just look at what’s on LowEndBox.com! :)

this guy is out of mind, thinks posting here will attract buyers?
even if he offers $0.05 for one of this, nobody would touch it.
I’d snap up a ton of them for 5c/month. ;)
I agree that $5.63 for those specs is awful, even for a UK VPS. Considering what you’d get from GigeVPS for around the same price…
LogicIdea don’t seem to be offering anything special, so the high price seems unwarranted.
I wouldn’t say he’s out of his mind, exactly. I’m sure everyone enjoys their would-be hosts turning a profit, after all. :)
That said, it’d be nice if their would-be hosts provided *any* sort of details regarding things like server location, ipv6 support, and so on. (I suspect these are in London somewhere, but who knows? If they were in, say, Sweden or Ireland or Israel or India, this wouldn’t actually be that bad of a deal for people wanting VPNs and whatnot. In London, though? Not quite as competetive…)
Do note that they are NOT posting here to attract buyers.
This blog (lowendbox.com) is just me posting the cheap VPS hosting packages I found. Usually from WebHostingTalk, and sometimes sent to me by the providers.
And agree with Snape. Shoppers at this end of the market cares about location, IPv6, ToS on IRC etc.
we can get much cheaper for this like vps. $5 very expensive to me.even $5 we can get better vps.but 1 thing must be aware a fly by night vps seller.
> LogicIdea – $5.63 64MB OpenVZ VPS
My first reaction was: man, this has to be per year, well OK, per quarter. :)

This is true, so I don’t think it was worth to even post it.
Why not? My oldest 64MB/1GB.. vps hosted at welcome2inter.net can beat with stability, uptime, etc.. ALL other vpses I ever tryed from here and I tryed them many.
LEB vps “tasters” are imho too spoiled without any good purpose. It’s true that many other providers offer us heaven for 3 bucks or less, but well.. it depend from users purpose and NEEDS. I need stablity. I need vps which wont change IPs every second year. Hell.. many vpses featured here don’t even survive till second year. So it all depens from perspective and I see no reason why this wouldn’t be worth to post here. Recently I got around 4 or 5 vpses for few bucks/year here. Well… all of them sucks! Yes they do. Just read all those comments here, while I run my irc bouncher at good ole 64MB vps with approx two short disconnections / year. Most LEB featured vpses can’t keep irc connection even two weeks.
I don’t see where you gather any indication that this VPS won’t be as crappy as your other ones, just much more expensive.
Price is not always an indication of quality, to the contrary, I’d say if they offer those measly specs for such a high price, they probably did not study the current VPS market at all, and may be new in the VPS business and may be not for long in it.
If you want quality/stability, get a Linode or Gandi and be done with it. Not some unknown host with a 5x overpriced offer.
OK, the last phrase might be a little unfair to all those other hard-working hosters trying to provide (and providing) a quality service too. E.g. after several months I can say I am 100.0% happy with my first and currently ‘main’ VPS at BuyVM.
Hey, I didn’t say that. I responded mostly on those “it’s not worth to be posted here”. RLY? Like 90% other crappy 512MB/5$ here is..?! :-) It’s all matter of choice. Some year or maybe year and half ago.. we was happy for ever 5$ vps and now.. we jump from one to other 3 – 5$ crappy high res vps in hope to find something worth to be keeped. This is just one more to try.
You said “I’d say if they offer those measly specs for such a high price, they probably did not study the current VPS market at all”.. and those which offer 512MB vps for same proce did? Heh… stop kidding.
Most of my 512MB vpses featured here sux – that’s a fact. I tryed them mostly, and you did too, correct? How many of them is, will be “keepers”? I have no clue if this one would be better, but I can assume that it wont have 500 node abusers… and it might serve well for my own purpse. That’s all.
Welcome2inter.net rocks. I’ve been with them since 2007, and couldn’t be happier. I think I’ve had one unscheduled outage in that time (DC power loss in March 2008), a couple of scheduled maintenances that were announced (by email) *well* in advance, and no annoying issues with iowait, lag, packet loss, or any of the other problems that can occasionally plague low-end VPS providers. Is $15/mo worth it for an OpenVZ machine with 128MB RAM? When it’s rock solid, I think so…
There’s life beyond LEB (and WHT), people.
“Recently I got around 4 or 5 vpses for few bucks/year here. Well… all of them sucks” – I mean random LEB featured vpses not LogicIdea vpses.

Looks like a brand change, as Zingiri is also owned by the same person according to WHOIS (Erik in Belgium).
