Singlehop is the selling point here since not I do not think I have seen many providers offering cheap prices with Singlehop…but the hardware specs might be a little disappointing though…

Signed up, paid, got vps information quickly — BUT… the ip given to my vps is the same as the solusvm server (in other words the only way I can access the vps is through the control panel; console). My guess would be that they ran out of ip addresses but solus still handed out a server. I logged a support ticket with them, been about 2 hours… waiting on a reply to the ticket. Will update with i/o and speed tests once this issue is resolved.

Let me guess – you are from China? This is a well known bug in the default WHMCS gateway module for paypal, a patch has been issued by WHMCS. The host should patch their system if they want to be able to accept payments from China.

Hello… To be clear, that is not the case. We have accepted _several_ payments from China with no issue – using Paypal. Also, we are not using WHMCS – so there is nothing to patch.

From their ToS (*), sending a “substantially similar” email to more than one recipient is considered SPAM and is forbidden. [1]
So what about template emails automatically sent to users who register on a bulletin-board? Administering a forum is flagged as spam? Insane.
More:
The ToS considers spam also emails with “false contact information” [2]. Again, what if my server sends emails with a REPLY-TO field set to noreply@noreply.org? Is this considered a disguised contact information for which my contract will be terminated? ToS say yes.

To clarify your concerns, essentially it boils down to “Are you generating SPAM?” If so, then you have some reason to be concerned. If not, then this should not concern you at all. But in case you are just concerned in general, template emails sent to people upon registering would not be considered SPAM. The policy which states “sending a “substantially similar” email to more than one recipient is considered SPAM” is for people who send BULK EMAIL. Also, if you take the time to read the entire policy as you have quoted, it reads:
I’m not sure how that would apply to a registration letter at all, and it looks like you are taking great efforts to misquote our TOS to make it support your claims.
Also, providing false information can be considered SPAM – but I hardly think using a no-reply email address is false information. The content of the email itself is what warrants false information.

Persuaded by their services, I finally subscribed one VPS contract.
After a few days since my VPS was activated, I happened to need to restore a backup of 600 MB into the VPS for maintenance and, while the archive was being copied, suddenly the SSH session disconnected for no reason, and the message “The system is going down for system halt NOW!” appeared. Then I discovered my account had just been suspended, without a notice, a warning, an e-mail, nothing. I haven’t received absolutely no information even now.
I guess the Company doesn’t want its users to drain too much disk I/O resource, but this is a total nonsense and lack of trust and reliability on their services.
Now the website hosted on that VPS is offline and I am losing customers, and my files and backups can’t be retrieved from the VPS.
I already asked for information on what to do now.
I’m keeping you informed on what they’ll do now.

My VPS has been restored in some hours just by a written request thru their support center. It seems I was suspended because the VPS used 100% of CPU for a maximum amount of time (maybe 90 seconds). I think this was caused by high I/O traffic thru the filesystem which caused the copy “cp” process to hang the CPU waiting for clearance and hence use 100% of it.
A working solution to keep the CPU usage low seems to limit the disk traffic to 300 KB/s. 500 KB/s already fills the CPU, in my experience.
