SoftShellWeb recently posted on LowEndTalk and I asked them if they’d like to expand their audience to the LEB readership as well, and here we are. They’re a new player (2019) based in the UK, offering service in Amsterdam and San Jose.
I like their approach to bandwidth: they give you a set allocation, and then if you exceed it they throttle you. Perfect for people who are still figuring out how much they need, or folks who have bursty needs. They’re running KVM nodes on some solid gear and have a nice spread of offers ranging from 1GB to 6GB of RAM.
BTW, did I mention that soft shell crab poboys are one of my all-time favorite foods? I may have to give them a try just because of that.
Their WHOIS is public and they are registered in the UK. You can find their TOS on their website and you can pay with (let me take a deep breath before I read these off): PayPal, Alipay, Debit/Credit Card, BitCoin, UnionPay, WebMoney, Moneta, QIWI, India Netbanking, iDeal, SOFORT Banking, DOKU, DragonPay, Boleto, Banco do Brasil, Alfa-Click, Malaysia e-banking, Pago Fácil, Rapi Pago, Red Pagos, and last but not least, Bancontact.
Remember that the LEB community thrives on individual sharing their experiences, so if you try out SoftShell Web Hosting, please comment below!

KVM – 36GB RAM?
Hey, it should be 6GB :)
If you have any questions please let us know.
It must be a typo.
Thank you for listing us! We sincerely appreciate the feature and have prepared some special offers for the community to enjoy!
With the help from the community we have managed to expand our services.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
I tried signing up with your US-KVM-SSD-1GB-Flash-Sale and it says my nameservers are invalid.
Hey, you can use ns1 and ns2 as your nameservers during the ordering process.
If you have any questions please let us know.
Fixed the 6GB offer typo :-)
Also we had some art assets go astray when we had to restore LEB from backup, and I hadn’t noticed this was one of the few articles affected. I re-uploaded the missing images in this article so it should render correctly now.
Any issue running a channelsdvr (getchannels.com) or plex server on these plans? Looked at the TOS and it wasn’t clear if this would be allowed or not. Thanks
Hi I see you have responded to the subsequent queries but not mine. Can you please provide a response. Thanks
Can i install my own OS?
Hey, yes you can upload your Custom OS ISO via the Virtualizor control panel.
can we use the vps as a private proxy
Hi, yes private/personal proxies are fine.
Hi, for a UK company do you have pricing in GBP (or even EUR)? Are you VAT registered? Thanks.
I created a ticker for refund request and no one reply. Seems like customer service is lacking.
The link for “KVM – 1GB RAM” (EU offer) is not correct; it should end with
.
Is it still alive?
I have extended vps services but the status suspended.
The support is not active, my tickets was not answered. They only answer when I opened dispute on paypal to make sure that they still alive. After closing dispute, they did not respon to my tickets again.
The support still alive, took 2 days to respond my support ticket, hope they can fix the delay
