Not yet! One of the points of the deal that we made with the datacenter is that they get IPv6, so we’ve been pressuring them.

I just send in a cancellation request for my box. My reason is simply because a stupid provider may figure out a lot of stupid things that take my time. I spent two hours this evening to setup the box and intend to run some benchmarks after having the dinner, but you just break everything. You have my contact information, why don;t simply pick the phone but suspend me. The first time I got a shit provider.
SO, PLEASE CANCEL MY ACCOUNT AND CONSIDER ME A REFUND. THAT MONEY IS NOT MUCH BUT I DONT WANT TO PAY FOR STUPIDITY!

What exactly happened?
Gary: This person signed up for our service, and paid with a Paypal account that didn’t match, so his account was suspended with a message to email us at abuse@ipxcore.com about it.
It’s stated in our AUP/TOS (that he agreed to when he signed up): “All payments made to IPXcore must be made from the same name, or a reasonable similarity thereof, the name on the Subscriber’s account at IPXcore. Subscriber may open a billing ticket with IPXcore and request permission to pay from a different account, however, this is at IPXcore’s discretion.”
He went ballistic (apparently) saying that this was “stupid”. We’re at the point where we’re getting enough sign-ups daily that we can’t chase down individuals who ignore the AUP/TOS they agreed to, by phone, so they get suspended with a message to contact us.
@Damian,
Activation followed by a validation is kind of stupid and waste the time of your clients. Think it over and adjust your business management process.
However, by getting suspended, I found a better plan at URPAD which, compared with your BronzeVPS ($5.39/month), costs only $3.72/month or $42/year, specifications and testing information below,
@ Damian – seems fair enough. There’s a lot of scamming around so making people whose details don’t match up jump through an extra hoop is a decent compromise.
@ tinyray – If you sign up with a vastly different name from the paypal account you pay from, you don’t expect them to be a little wary?
It’d take you 5 minutes to explain whatever the situation is to them. Roughly as long as it took you to badmouth them here. I’m all for badmouthing providers, but at least try going through the proper channels to resolve a situation first.

its just my personal issue: it was so urgent at the meantime for getting some work published. no longer an ipx client but I should say the quality of their VPS is great.
I love IPXCore.
But, the monthly transfer isn’t enough for me :(

So, if I get a plan now, sooner or later it will have bandwidth upgraded?
@Yomero, that is correct. When we change package specs we allow everyone to update their plans at no additional cost. Just ask :)
Additionally, depending on what node you’re on, you can request a total 8 or 12 CPU cores, no extra charge.

I have one of the 96mb $1.25 specials form a while back. I have to say, it’s been pretty solid. There was a kernel panic on that node a day or two ago, and they actually emailed everyone to let them know and telling us to open a ticket for a day’s credit. I don’t think I would have noticed the few minutes of down time if they hadn’t told me! Needless to say, I’m not going to waste their time opening a ticket for a 4 cent credit :-)
In my opinion they’re a really good company.
IRC allowed? These boxes would be perfect for a bouncer or a private ircd.

Keep in mind that Atjeu blocks port 6667. If whatever you’re doing with IRC can be done without port 6667, then there’s no other restrictions.
Yeah. I’ve yet to come across an irc server that doesn’t offer other ports for exactly this reason.

Ipxcore is just awesome!! been with them for about 6 months and they just keep getting better and better!!
Very good hosting, been with them for almost 6 months, I wrote 2-3reviews about them on here, but sadly they banned me because of a bug in there own forum software, so unfortunately those reviews might be lost. Pretty sad really. But very nice hosting and they will go far, trust me.
bought, one and IRC works on the VPS with no problem. Paid and the VPS was setup in in no time. Installed ZNC with no problem.

Not sure why you guys are too complex, I have my address information with my account, and the paypal account is from my wife. Do you know the abuse option of paypal? or you have much time to take care everything not on your end?

Thought this went without saying, but I guess it must be said anyway:
If you buy services with us, your account will be validated.
If your information has a mismatch, your account will be validated with scrutiny.
If you’re going to be entering information that wouldn’t normally match and you know it, such as paying with your wife’s paypal account, or your IP will be from a different location than your address, have the common courtesy to let us know either before you buy, or when you do buy.
If you think having your account validated is ‘stupid’, please don’t bother signing up for our service.

Just reinstall the OS using CENTOS,
This isn’t a support forum, you’ll get a better response asking via a support ticket or any other method we have.
Regardless, run yum with the –noplugins switch, or edit /etc/yum.conf and change plugins=1 to plugins=0.
or run this command: yum –disableplugin=fastestmirror update
I just signed up with IPXCore and this is my first dabble with Linux VPS. I got stuck at the start because I wasn’t sure how to get it up and running. So I used the live chat and a guy called Adam was on in a couple of minutes and explained the steps. I must say, I am impressed. I am used to lousy service and support tickets that take days to answer. So far it looks promising.
