Word leaked recently that HostMantis is planning to ditch DirectAdmin. Quoting HostMantis support:
we’re in the process of planning a full migration to cPanel for all customers following our acquisition of HostMantis so even if we moved the account to DirectAdmin it would only get moved back to cPanel in the coming weeks.
Last year, they were acquired by Dynamic Hosting, who apparently prefers cPanel.
One wonders if the price difference between DirectAdmin and the more expensive cPanel is going to make honoring HostMantis DirectAdmin plan pricing feasible.
As one wag noted, some of these folks were migrated by HostMantis from cPanel to DirectAdmin…
