Peter, from Minecrafted, has sent in this 2GB Xen PV offer located in Philadelphia, PA. I believe this is the biggest Xen offer we have listed for $7. Minecrafted have never before appeared on LowEndBox – so welcome!

Interesting, the whois info is the same as Database By Design, you the same company?
Hi Spencer,
Yeah, that’s been haunting us since the beginning, question always seems to come up, rightfully so I guess :) We purchased the domain from my friend who worked over at DBD. You can find cached WHOIS information which sometimes has the old information, but that’s been changed since we’ve owned it.
Just ordered one to try out
benchmark will be great too….
Just got mine setup
# bash bench.sh

85.4MB/s on a 4x SSD array, surely that cant be right?
I was thinking the same. I expected better.

Not bad network considering it’s supposedly on 100Mb port
From UK server:

Holy shit, i got 9.1MB from that download link!
I was only getting 150kb from the download link put in the description.
sweet…..
Still waiting on setup. You should be aware in case you wish to cancel that payments through paypal are automatically recurring by default.
Thanks for the order John. Just be aware that orders can take up-to 12 hours to be provisioned. For our first LEB special we want to manually verify every order. Thanks again!
Truly amazing offer…but too far away from China…
extra ipv4 are $5/month each? WOW!
And you’re surprised? There was at one point some post here drifting around which speculated hosts being IPv6 only in the future and charge this much for an IPv4 address to be assigned. What we’re starting to see is the big IPv4 crunch.
I’m surprised. The usual fee is $1-$2.5 around here. The average rate is $1.5 per IPv4.
Are custom ISOs / own windows Licenses supported ?
Hi George,
They are not. We only support 4 Operating Systems:
CentOS 6.4 64bit
Debian 6.0 64bit
Fedora 18 64bit
Ubuntu 12.04 64bit
Ok, thanks. May I ask why ? Is this a technical limitation / support issues / policies ? This is more of a generic question rather then targeted specifically at you. Why would KVM/XEN VPS providers restrict the OS that can be installed ?
Never mind … I now realize that this is XEN PV not regular XEN.
$5/month for an additional IP address? Really?
Yes, additional IPv4 addresses are $5/m each. We do provide free /64 blocks of IPv6 which are setup after the server is setup.
In addition to this is the fact that it serves has a
purgative, this may not be unconnected with the oily nature of the extract although the phytochemical
constituents may also be responsible for this effect.
Economy of Malaysia is chiefly on manufacturing and
trading. This book is all about palm oil, a seemingly “miracle”
vegetable oil that has been used for thousands of years, and is currently being used around
the world.
Hmmm… placed order… got MaxMind error… opened billing ticket with explanation… forget VPS provisioning, what I have is no reply to my ticket for 16 hours and counting! Can only hope this is not a fore runner of things to come when something goes wrong and you really need tech support…
Hi Andrew,
Yes, if you placed an order and didn’t make it past the first level of verification we likely didn’t setup your VPS within the 12-hour time frame as stated. We should clarify, the setup within 12 hours applies to customers who have already made payment.
This could be such a good service, just a shame about the lack of support. First ticket took close to 9 hours to reply to, and that response was a “this will be done soon.” 14 hours on from that and still waiting…
Hi John,
Thanks for the comment. All services are self-managed. We try to make it very clear we provide very little support. We give our customers all the tools necessary to resolve 99% of issues on their own. That’s how we offer such high capacity services at rock bottom prices. Feel free to take a look at our support terms here:
http://minecrafted.net/tos.php
Let us know if there is something else we should add which would make it more clear.
Lastly, let me know what your ticket number is and I can investigate.
While I realize that, a request for IPv6 surely isn’t something I can “self-manage”? (Asked in the original order but it wasn’t given then, so created a ticket requesting it)
Ticket ID: 788184
Thanks for the ticket ID. I fully understand that IP allocation isn’t something you can do on your own :) I understand you’ve been waiting patiently for the allocation and it will happen today.
Ticket has been closed without response, but still waiting…
Sorry John. Ticket shouldn’t have been closed.
Is it possible to know what the hold-up is? I’m waiting on this to move forward with a project.
Looks to be a good host from what I can see, and a great deal for what it is!
I can’t understand and belived in my eyes.
Placed an order and got MaxMind error. Then I opened billing ticket with explanation.
But this is email from MineCrafted:
————–
I’m sorry Mai,
At this time we won’t be able to accept your order.
Thanks,
Minecrafted.NET Support Staff

No any reason.
Worse, my account has been deleted and I can’t login to Client Area to view/reply Ticket
Can you tell me why???
Obvious answer: You failed the fraud check and they do not feel comfortable with your order. They have a right to decline it, you know.
But whyyyy??
I’m just a normal customer.
I’m from Vietnam and all of the order from Vietnam to USA always failed with MaxMind.
But with other provider, I just submit a ticket and my order will be accept.
Not fair
I’m sorry Mai. As Shivanthi said, we have no way of validating your order and at this time we do not want to take the risk accepting it. Please do not take this personally, we’re just following our policy and procedure for screening orders.
We’d like to offer a “refer a friend” discount along with this special.
If you already have a paid VPS, just refer a friend. If they signup and pay, have them open a ticket with your name/email. You’ll both be issued a $3.50 credit for future invoices or new services (including dedicated servers). There is no limit to this credit, send us 10 friends, get $35 in credit, 20 get $70 ect. Credit does not expire so long as you have an active service with us.
Now I just need some friends. Also, is it possible to enable TUN/TAP? Can’t see the option in SolusVM.
Don’t we all!
Since this is Xen PV there’s nothing to activated from within SolusVM, it should already be active or enabled via the guest OS.
Thanks, I’m too used to OpenVZ
Great offer, but I have a few questions:
1) Are we allowed to host Minecraft servers on these or are we expected to order your Minecraft specific plan?
2) Can we combine multiple VPSs or do you perhaps offer any promotions for higher RAM plans?
Hi Chronic,
Thanks for the kind words!
Yes, you’re welcome to host whatever you want on the VPS servers so long as it’s legal. Just keep in mind you’d likely get more performance out of our Minecraft servers as you’re not limited to 2x vCPU’s.
We can combine multiple systems however only memory, disk and BW would increase. CPU allocation would remain locked at 2x vCPU.
Hmm… still no reply to my billing ticket… coming on 48 (!!!) hours soon…
Interesting support policy they have: with passage of time, my ticket has been downgraded to “low” and shows as “Pending” now, whatever that means. Hell, I bet it will get downgraded to “Closed” soon, same as John’s…
Anyways, this just for the record here – you can close the ticket and my account, too, Peter. Thanks but no thanks. Happy to have had to wait and see how you respond to other people’s issues and lost all interest in Minecrafted. Nice thing about LEB, many well established providers with similar or better offers here ;)
Andrew, please let me clarify for others here on LEB.
You do not have an account with us. You opened a “billing” ticket since your order was flagged for review when it was placed. You have not paid, you do not have a server, you’re not a customer.
Yes, all tickets are automatically downgraded to low priority, then pending and eventually closed if it does not meet our support guidelines.
All true, Peter. Hard to pay if no invoice is generated and provider ignores you ;)
MaxMind is a useful but imperfect system, to put it mildly. Established and experienced providers are aware of this and, subject to an explanation and verification, react promptly and push orders through manually. I speak from broad experience as all my orders, originating from China, get flagged. I take the time to explain and get prompt service. I currently operate 14 VMs hosted with 6 LEB providers. I don’t believe I will ever risk adding Minecrafted to this mix no matter how low an offer you come up with. Having lived in China for over a decade, I know all too well that you always get what you pay for, if not less. In your case, as you have been kind to make very clear here, Peter, one pays for very bad support ;)
Thanks for the clarification Andrew. Your order wasn’t denied on the basis of MaxMind alone for what it’s worth. I think you said it best earlier. There are plenty of fish in the sea for both customer and provider. Minecrafted.NET just isn’t for you, and that’s fine. Best of luck adding to your cluster of VM’s. Take care.
Wow! Very nice job of deflecting my comments and handling me here, Peter. You are a real pro. Seriously. I’m officially impressed. Too bad you seem to think this would be wasted one on one on your customers (and ready to order customers!) on own site ;)
After everything said and done, good luck with your novel business model. I have just come across a great offer by another new LEB provider with similar “no support” policy… interesting, seems to be catching on ;)
disk space is a bit too small
How much would you like to see for a 2GB RAM system? Keep in mind this is SSD powered.
Anyone done more intensive IO tests? The only posting of that I saw was at 85MB/s I/O which is sloooow for an SSD in my opinion.
Here’s an update on the same node, now fully loaded.

Minecrafted is the worst hosting service provider I ever used.
My first VPS with them ordered through LEB was good.
Second VPS ordered direct from their website with description “Powered by Xen & SolusVM”, and they never send me the SolusVM.
Support ticket submitted and help requested in their forum only has 1 single reply, nothing else later.
http://forum.minecrafted.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1457
No SolusVM is fine, all I need is uBuntu.
But they refused to support, refused to communicate, refused to refund.
Until I file a PayPal dispute, they refunded me.
And together this, they suspended my first VPS.
I can’t see any point for what they did.
The VPS might be ok, but they they absolutely no morale in doing business.
Yeah, they seem to have some issues there, I never got a reply to my ticket either. Peter explained I had no right to complain about their lack of support since I was not a customer yet (it was a Biling issue ticket). Lucky me ;)
Try @AnthonySmith (InceptionHosting), they have a very competitive 2GB Xen offer in Miami plus fast, professional and courteous support.
Andrew, you account was flagged as fraud so we didn’t setup your account. After manual review we didn’t want to take the risk with your account.
First of all, Peter, I am not complaining. In fact, I am happy how things worked out ;)
My post above was with reference to your lack of response to my Billing ticket, is all. I fully respect your right to refuse customers you perceive as risky. Not that you refused in my case, rather, I got fed up with waiting and cancelled my order (check your ticket archive).
Very simple. In our TOS if you open a PayPal dispute your entire accounts gets terminated. We are a no-BS, very little/no support provider – and make that very clear before you buy anything! If you need more help, we’re not the right provider for you.
Are you out of stock, or just not enough listed on your order page?
I’m interested in purchasing one.
Hi Matt,
We don’t have any of these LEB special left. Just our standard offering which is still pretty cheap!
Do you also offer servers with Ipv6 /64 block ?
Upon request, yes we can sort this out for you.
Looks like they are out of business.
“The server at http://www.minecrafted.net is taking too long to respond.”
Ping returns 0 received, 100% packet loss.
Ah well!
Not out of business by a long shot :)…. just a bad DoS attack last night.
Hello Peter,
Do you still have any Xen PV offerings available? If so, would you mind linking them?
Hey Brandon. For the moment we’re out of stock for all Virtual offerings. We’re taking a step back to see how/what Solus is going to do to fix their security issues before deploying new nodes.
im not interested on the discount and stuff but can you support PocketMine on minecraft hosting? I mean, $8 to host 1-40 players is kinda amusing. well, I want to business with you if i could host pocketmine server on the minecraft plan. if u ask why pocketmine, well, this is a minecraft pe server. the only one around. thanks!
