Justin, from BlueVM, has sent in three special offers to us. These offers are exclusive to LowEndBox.com and all feature their own panel: Feathur. Feathur is an Open Source (AGPL V3.0) control panel for OpenVZ and KVM and is available on GitHub. BlueVM Communications LLC are based in Honolulu and are dedicated to offering “low cost, high quality Virtual Private Servers (VPS)”. We have featured BlueVM numerous times since early 2012 and reviews have been mainly positive. After they had enough of SolusVM after numerous security incidents, BlueVM decided to write their own panel. Feathur is the result of that. It’s already in use at BlueVM (and has been for a while) but it is also available to the public and I believe other providers have started using it as well. Their hardware primarily consists of Intel E3-1240 servers (@ 3.4GHz) with 32 GB of RAM and 4 x 1TB or 2TB hard drives in RAID10. A review of their service (which includes Feathur screenshots & serverbear link) can be found here.

You can also use the coupon LEBMARCH on all other plans for 20% off.
BlueVM accept PayPal, Google Checkout and Bitcoin via Bitpay. Due to abuse of their previous refund policy, they no longer offer refunds on their services except in special cases. They provide a 99.99% uptime guarantee and provide service credits if they fail to meet this. According to their website, they undersell (typically they leave 500GB of HDD space free and 2-4GB of ram free). For more information, have a read of their Terms of Service.

Heh..almost all locations out of stock when offer posted.. :)
We weren’t expecting it to be posted this early in the morning… anyway we’ve updated the available stock to match what we had set aside for the sale…
More Zurich in stock?
At this time, no… we’re working on it though.
Once I loved bluevm very much….
I purchased one of their 0.5’s in CA… thus far it’s pretty good, especially for the price. Did a disk test it’s fairly snappy:
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 5.88765 s, 182 MB/s
Any discount to upgrade BLUE0.5 to BLUE1 ? :D
I’ll make an exception here and say yes… $11 /Yr (total) if you open a ticket. :)
Yay! #931211
This has been completed.
Can i get one for Blue 1? Thanks
How can I get your coupon code on time ?
It’s valid from now through the end of April…
BLUE 0.5 package openvpn do you agree ?
It’s perfect for openvpn.
Is there any possibility of getting a transfer for a .5 or is that not acceptable by your limited support policy?
We offer free ‘recreates’ of our 0.5’s in any location we offer them in. If you need your data transferred there is a $5 fee so generally speaking it’s better to get a recreate and use backups.
Just a word of warning: The BlueVM OpenVZ machines randomly reboot (I suspect after kernel upgrades – which is fine) but after reboots the iptables state and log modules do not work which results in not being able to restore your iptables rules and no firewall on your VPS. Disabling/re-enabling iptables on the control panel sometimes fixes the problem but it is an annoyance having to fix the problem each time you notice the VPS has rebooted and has no firewall rules active. I suggest you consider more reliable VPSs
We’re working on a more permanent fix for this…
Yea, I noticed that too. I spent over 3 weeks to get my IP Tables fixed after the node was restarted / maybe crashed.
Now it works nicely. :)
Look good, for 5.63/year !
Thanks

I just bought one BLUE0.5 in Dallas for my mail server. Too bad the IP is not clean. It’s blacklisted.
Open a ticket about it and we’ll see what we can do.
Already 6 hours passed, no one reply to my ticket #772976
Any chance for zurich ? I require a blue 2 can it be discounted ?
Great work for blue0.5 and blue 1. Keep it up.
hello bluevm, support ipv6 ?
Any news about Zurich ones? And possibly a test IP? Very interested in Blue1 there
Well after spending most of last week having two of our VPS shut down I am not impressed. Two of our VPS were suspended because they were supposedly spamming. I put in a ticket to have one VPS unsuspended so I could see what was wrong, and it took several messages and more than 24 hours for it to be reinstated. We found no evidence of spamming. The second VPS was suspended twice, and was off for almost a week. After complaining it was reinstated, with BlueVm admiting it had never been spamming.
In both cases of the VPS being suspended we received zero notification. We had to find out by accident. I am very unimpressed. We operate a dozen VPS’s over 8 suppliers.
Well, who told you BlueVM is good as a live server? Surely the price is nice, but taking into account the very poor support, uptime issues, non consistent speeds and node issues, it’s a very nice vps to fool around and experiment, but you must be mad to use it for serious work!
Yes you are right, its time to move to someone more reliable.
We have the same problem with BlueVM, they suspend our VPS with the same arguments and without any warning and then their support respond very slowy, the VPS has down more than 24 hours and we need pay other VPS service with other provider and up our clients websites with the backups, a terrible experience.
Can i upload custom .iso ?
Very low download speed (5mb/sec from CacheFly)
And they don’t refund :(
“what were you expecting for $xx a year vps?” This is words out of their mouth a year ago when something on their side went wrong :) needless to say , never touched their vps every again.
I logged into my shared hosting recently and found all my email users, email inbox, mysql database, html/php website data/scripts gone. Like a ghost town. Nothing my account completely wiped.
No response concerning the issue for over 2 whole days. Sent it two tickets.
It looks good.
BLUE3 is informed to be KVM here but the order form says it is OpenVZ!
Which one is correct?
Just to reply my own question:
BLUE3 – Buffalo, NY
1024 MB of Guaranteed RAM
1024 MB of Swap
3 CPU @ 2.0+ Ghz
1 IPv4 Address
50 GB of Disk
2 TB of Bandwidth
NEW Feathur Control Panel! (OpenVZ)
So it says OpenVZ but advertized here as KVM.
So no answer from the company so far. I believe the acta of not answering is the very answer….
Signed up but can’t pay invoice. PayPal throws an error and tells you to return to merchant.
It’s nothing to do with my PayPal, I signed up to another host 10 minutes later and it worked as normal.
in this moments the CPU load of the some BlueVM VPS are in crazy values (beetwen 100% to 3000%) and are very very slow.
Just wonder, what is this mean -1 or -2 in stock? Are provider sell VPSes from zero ? :-)
Will you have the BLUE 0.5 in stock in LA soon?
Hi,
I ordered a VPS yesterday and have submitted a ticket because I am unable to reset my feathur password. I tried the forgot password multiple times, as well as my client area password. My ticket is #718374 . Would appreciate if this can be fixed.
Got a vps on the 12th of April around 5PM. VPS was setup finally after 26 hours after ordering, only after submitting a ticket 20 hours before the setup. Now 3 days latter I still can’t login to the server panel with my provided credentials. Also the password recovery link brings up a php error after submitting my email. They also haven’t responded to me on this issue for 10+ hours.
Also the current ticket number is #217926.
Useless. The input lag on SSH sessions make it worthless. The speed is terrible. It’s $5.63 down the toilet.
Hi BlueVM,
I just bought openVZ 128MB. I don’t receive the vps login information. Please check
I got one of these offers. Finally started using my vps yesterday, and right after I set everything up the server got suspended without notice. Submitted a ticket, and no response whatsoever. Cheap, but you get all the lack of support to go with the price tag :(
Hello,
you suspended my VPS with no reason ?
it’s production server with low traffic.
This is your notify for me :
If you would like to request unsuspension, or would like more details about your suspension, please contact our support team.
You will not be able to boot your VPS until it is unsuspended.
NO REASON ?
Your support too slow reply my ticket.
I have pay and after 2 mounth you suspended my VPS it’s bad for me and for your business future.
Regards.
Bought there KVM3 product a few month back. Performance has been consistently poor. IO rates typically below 30MB/s. Network speeds typically 10MB/s. Had previously looked at serverbench which had rated this package well above these rates. Support ticket to BlueVM did nothing. Now the host is down and has been for a couple of days. Support ticket opened with no response. Poor performance and poor support. I’d recommend staying away from BlueVM.
I’ve got the BLUE 0.5 and my VPS was suspened few days ago also! However I sorted it out with support and it’s back. Try your luck.
I ordered their BLUE 0.5. But I did not get their recurring payment email after one year. And my VPS was terminated without any notification.
