We have a very unique offer for you today from Virtbase, a KVM VPS provider hosting in Eygelshoven, Netherlands. They’re not your average provider.
I see a ton of offers come in, and after a while, you can pick out providers that you know are going to be a good experience. This is one of those, for the following reasons:
- They’re not just another Solus + WHMCS host. So many providers just put together the same tools and panels. Nothing wrong with them, but after a while, you wonder why anyone would pick one over the other. In the case of Virtbase, you have a provider who has their own open source control and billing panel. And I do mean truly open source – go check it out on GitHub.
- They’re honest to a fault, submitting what they think their strengths and weaknesses as a provider are. That’s extremely rare. Most providers just strut on stage bragging about their enterprise-level world-leading blah blah blah. Virtbase seems intent on giving you the honest facts.
- No KYC. No ID document, no phone number, no verification call.
- Monero accepted.
- Their own ASN, with public looking glass and a public status page.
- Abuse handling designed to be reversible. What does that mean? Enforcement is graduated: first rate-limit, then network isolation, then power off. Each step records what it replaced so a release restores your own firewall rules rather than a default. Termination is operator-only, attribution is evaluated against the IP allocation as it stood at the time of the report rather than who holds the address now, and untrusted report sources cannot trigger any automatic action.
- Backups you control. So you can schedule and run them yourself via the API or in the panel.
- Firewall tooling: the panel reads the guest’s actual ufw/firewalld/nftables rules and listening sockets, flags what is exposed, and can generate rules for you.
- A Discord bot as a real control plane: power actions, backups and firewall edits, with replies visible only to you.
- A proper /64 IPv6
- DDoS protection
- Custom ISO upload supported
And more. Looks cool!
Maybe I’m a little jaded but so many offers come winging in with nothing more than a discount code and a URL. It’s awesome when a provider like Virtbase takes the time to carefully fill out our template and checks that everything they’re submitting complies with our rules. If they’re this careful on an offer submission, I suspect they’re this careful in provisioning and administering their service.
Now, there are a few fine points:
- They can currently only bill customers in the EU-27. Their checkout and invoicing are wired for EU VAT only, so a US, UK, Swiss or Canadian buyer cannot complete an order today.
- They’re in Eygelshoven, Netherlands only.
- The brand is just about to hit one year old. Though the parent company (BeastHost UG) has traded since 2024. They do have some reviews on TrustPilot you can read (4.3 / 5 across 16 reviews).
- Support is email at support@virtbase.com, typically answered within 6h. No ticket portal yet, and they do not advertise an SLA.
- Cryptocurrency orders have a €5.00 minimum, so their €3.99 entry plan is card/PayPal only. Everything from €7.99 up can be paid in Monero, Bitcoin and others.
But How is the Pricing?
Pretty awesome! Read on.
About Virtbase
Let’s hear a little about them in their own words:
Virtbase is a secure-hosting brand operated by BeastHost UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a German company trading since 2024. We sell KVM virtual servers from a single Tier III facility in Eygelshoven, Netherlands, announced from our own AS213661. What makes us different from most providers at this price point is that we wrote our own control plane instead of licensing WHMCS or SolusVM — and then published it: the application that provisions servers, processes payments and stores customer data is public on GitHub under AGPL-3.0, not an open-core teaser with the important parts held back.
We do not ask for identity documents, a phone number or any KYC at any stage, and we accept Monero alongside cards and PayPal. Every server ships with a dedicated IPv4, a routed IPv6 /64, always-on DDoS protection at no extra cost, and unmetered traffic capped only by the plan’s port speed. Customers manage servers from our web portal, a 48-endpoint public REST API, or a Discord bot that handles power actions, backups and firewall rules. We run a public looking glass and a public status page, and we would rather be judged on those than on a marketing claim.
