VPS Need is quite a young company, having been founded in the first months of 2015. They’re working on becoming a registered company in Egypt, though they’re not registered just yet. Their WHOIS information is public, though. These offers are located in Rochester, NY, USA. They also offer servers out of Mesquite, Nevada, USA and some other locations. It does seem to change quite rapidly, which locations they offer that is, so please be cautious. Host nodes have at least dual Intel Xeon L5420 CPUs, 24GB RAM, a 4TB HDD, and a 1Gbps uplink. It seems there’s no RAID in place, making this less viable for a production environment. If you decide to give these guys a shot, please let us know how it’s going!

Maybe the vps are in Rochester, but that test IP is not. I live in Rochester and ping 40+ms to it. A traceroute shows it in Dacentec in NC.

That is the location listed with ARIN for our parent company, the server physical location is Lenoir, NC in USA.

No WHMCS license per their website. And their DNS is misconfigured, so nobody will be able to receive e-mail from them.
They seem to be using Blesta.

haha, Rochester, VA – Sure. IP is actually in Lenoir, North Carolina with Dacented. Very misleading, does LEB staff not even check the AS that announces the test IP? Would be clear in a few seconds that it is Dacentec which inly has a Lenoir, NC location.

The AS is AS31863 which is Centrilogic Inc, the parent company of Dacentec. Dacentec is just a small part of Centrilogic’s operations.
CentriLogic has a data center in Rochester, NY and if you look at WHOIS for that test IP it shows Rochester (see http://bgp.he.net/AS31863#_whois ):

And yet when you traceroute it, the last five hops are all *.dacentec.com, and go through Level3 in Atlanta.
And when I traceroute it from *within* Dacentec in NC, it’s four hops and 0.286ms away…
They might have a DC there – Regardless this IP is in Lenoir. It pings with 0.1ms from inside Dacentec.
