Please create a support ticket so we can take a look.

We actually use one of the best premium bandwidth for our network, you should not experience any network issues/restrictions.

  7. I don’t often post anything negative about other hosts, these guys are actually one of the reasons I started in this business, so I suppose I should thank them to some degree however the reason was that they were so damn bad I knew the market still had room for someone willing to do better.

The bandwidth is horrible, they used to offer 10TB I got capped after about 200GB down to 5mbit without any notification, the support was none existent, half the templates did not work at all, they would be offline for periods for 48 hours without any update or communication, seriously they don’t deserve any business.

If anyone can show a prolonged period of excellent service and support I will completely retract this statement as it was a few years ago, my situation with them was by no means unique.

    • This company took money from my paypal account.. Without authorization.. They refuse to put the money back.. They refuse to reply to my requests.. The performance of their 128MB VPS is deplorable.. No wonder they no longer try to promote themselves via this forum. Read the comments folks.. and take note.. If your purchase from them still.. well.. you can’t say that you weren’t warned!

      1. They accept only PayPal. It’s ok, but could be more gateways.
      2. Activation is really instant, just few second after payment.
      3. During order I’ve choosed Debian 6, but Centos was installed by default. So I need to reinstall in SolusVM.
      4. Don’t see the TUN/TAP on SolusVM.
      3. Got the 30 GB instead 50 GB, so I’ve opened the ticket, we’ll see how fast they’re responding.

PS. They responded in exactly minutes, after increasing was done. Pretty nice.

I’ve been running a 225 slot Teamspeak 3 server for almost a week now and haven’t had any issues. Here’s my experience so far:

Within two minutes of signing up, I received several e-mails with various login and payment information. Even though I chose Debian 6 as my OS, CentOS 6.3 was installed by default. This wasn’t really an issue, as I are am able to change the OS on the fly through the VM control panel. As someone else has mentioned, my available hard drive space was also showing “30GB” and my available bandwidth was listed as “4.88TB”. I sent a support ticket in on ‘low’ importance and it was still answered within two hours in the middle of the night. My hard drive space was immediately set to 50GB and the support rep explained that they do not charge for going over the listed available bandwidth. Not that I have a chance of using anywhere near 4.88TB in a month, but I feel better knowing that it is truly unmetered and that’s one less thing to worry about.

This is the first time I’ve gone with 2Host for a VPS, and so far I’ve had a good experience.

Signup process was quick and effortless. Support has been professional with GREAT response time. Only initial issue I had was related to IPv6 which was assigned quickly, but apparently the host is incapable of routing correctly. It’s been two weeks and I guess it won’t be working in the near future?

VPS performance has been good and availability the first week was great … apparently until the host filled up? This last week has been plagued with downtime, starting with 15-45min outages then a couple big 3-4 hours of downtime. Last night my VPS was down for 8 hours.

My requirements are low. I’m only running secondary DNS (PowerDNS/MySQL) for ~50 domains. But availability would be nice.

    • Ken:

Another 4 hours and 15 minutes of downtime the night after my original post. That ends the week with ~20 hrs of unavailability. How do I determine downtime? The server was confirmed down at the service level using SNMP, and even worse, the local VPS’s sar (sysstat) service stopped writing to disk until a “LINUX RESTART” was detected. My system is virtually idle, here’s a current snapshot of load:

      CPU %user %nice %system %iowait %steal %idle
      all 0.05 0.00 0.03 0.00 0.21 99.71

The “5 TB doesn’t apply” isn’t accurate. Your VPS will be suspended after you exceed 5 TB and you’ll have to contact support to reset the bandwidth. They’ll probably do it, but only after it’s suspended for a while.

Been using a 512 for about a month. Bandwidth is excellent and I got 50GB storage space. Only problem with the Ubuntu template is the language files were ripped out to save space and they needed to be reinstalled. Never had a problem getting a response from support. Would recommend to others.

  18. Been using 2Host since May (for hatnote.com). Bandwidth and uptime were mostly great. Then:

    * Machine started getting laggy, even though the datacenter is just a few blocks from my house.
    * Increasingly frequent, unannounced machine reboots
    * Randomly lose network access
    * Tickets are met with silence and victim-blame (the only non-boilerplate response I got chided me for opening a second ticket as to why the phone number didn’t work)
    * No answer on the phones

I just ordered their larger plan and it doesn’t appear to be an “instant setup”. Unless I am missing something. I ordered, paid via PayPal, and a day later the service is “pending”. I’ll see how it goes after getting setup. But I had to mention because there was a project I needed a VPS for and I was specifically looking for one in San Jose, CA and that could be setup instantly (so I could use it over the weekend and not have to wait for a live person to push a button).

Just ordered their 1gb Xen plan.

Literally in seconds after my payment went through I received a bunch of emails and apparently my server is ready for me to use. That is a very nice breath of fresh air in the VPS hosting world. I have tried about 10 different VPS companies in the past 6 months. So far this has been the nicest. I’ll keep everyone posted.

I have had serious issues with this company.. Their services appear to be oversold. Unusable. I ended up swapping my domain to another VPS because the “service 2host provide is unusable. I gave up on them and forgot about it. Put it down to “shit happens” and moved on. But 6 months into my “contract” they all of a sudden took another years worth of money from my paypal. I have been arguing with them ever since. They have told me they will refund me and close my tickets without any further communications. But they do not refund me. A few days ago (while I was still in $25 credit with them) they again took another years worth of money from my paypal. Paypal tell me that there was an auto payment setup and are not prepared to assist me getting my money back. Paypal told me to contact my bank. My bank tells me there is a $50 fee that will need to be paid if it is determined that transactions were “authorized”.. So they have now taken $50 from me for a service that they know is worthless to me. A totally hopeless company. I believe that they knowingly lie. I also believe that they knowingly cheat their customers. I fear you have been ripped off. The fact that they no longer offer services here “says it all” in my opinion.
