betaForce Networks, LLC have been hosting private business clients for ‘years’ but in September 2012 they decided to launch to the public. BetaForce have also included the coupon code LEB10 which can be used for any of their other servers, including Windows VPS, and entitles you to 10% off. Their ‘other servers’ are a lot dearer than the two plans listed above. According to their website, their primary nodes are Dell R410s, each equipped with: a hex core Xeon X5670, 32GB RAM and four 2TB 7200RPM SATAII disks in RAID 10.

They accept payments via Credit Card or Paypal and offer a 15 day, no questions asked, refund policy. According to their Terms of Services, Anything illegal under USA, Pennsylvanian or Floridan law is prohibited. IRC servers are only allowed for private use and not public networks. For more information, do check out their full Terms of Service.

Network Information:

Their servers are collocated with Database By Design, LLC at the SunGard AS datacenter.

Test IPv4: 76.72.167.226

Why are they so expensive? I only see the guarantee 99.965% network availability and 99% infrastructure availability are worth.

I was wondering the same thing. For that price, I would expect at least twice as much memory. I must be missing something.

Whacky high prices and anemic bandwidth limits.

    Oh, but it’s Xen…

  3. Hey guys, Steve from betaForce here.

I just wanted to chime in and let you know we are a premium VPS provider, so our prices aren’t 100% in line with the lowest LEB providers you may have seen. We are invested in high performance VMs since we use our own services, same as provided to the public. We strive for personalized service, approach our customers with quick responses to their inquiries, and all of our services are semi-managed, which means that we’ll handle just about any configuration request you make via a ticket. If you need help, you have a team of experienced professionals to lend a hand.

    Thanks for checking us out.
