keep servers stable,guys !
I’ve been their customer for a couple of months with a VPS in Atlanta and one in Zurich.
What if you find out you have under 1MB/s speeds from everywhere in the world except CacheFly? Their response? “There’s nothing wrong” and “We do not offer refunds”.
That’s my case with Zurich VPS, and its advertised Gbit connection.
The moral is: you take it, you keep it. You are advised.
I find that people tend not to tell the whole story in cases like this. Do you have a ticket number?
I just did a test. It is as follows:
System uptime : 28 days, 17:46,
Download speed from CacheFly: 62.5MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 7.48MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 4.21MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 3.75MB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 56.7MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 35.1MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 5.62MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 7.99MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 11.7MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 8.66MB/s
I/O speed : 85.7 MB/s
Mind you, anything outside of europe will be slower than our American locations.
Ticket #485228
Download speed from CacheFly: 29.1MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 2.42MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 145KB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 360KB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 658KB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 810KB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 86.3KB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 385KB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 127KB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 145KB/s
Oh and their first response was:
“The tests are all pulling from locations ~3,000 miles from your VPS except for cachefly”
NB: Zurich-Rotterdam is less than 370miles
If you really need it, I can send you the whole ticket, since you need “the whole story”.
Regards
We can move you to another location if you’d like… the ZU network doesn’t meet everyone’s needs. It is 1 Gbps and Cachefly proves that the link does get speeds in excess of 300 Mbps easily. The peering there isn’t the greatest in the world and if you don’t like it we’ll gladly move you to somewhere stateside.
At the moment I’m just happy we are starting to have a dialogue. I’m sorry it happened because I wrote about my problem here, but I’m glad I did, and I hope we will work it out.
I will answer in the ticket itself, and I take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas.
OpenVZ Zurich node 2 network speeds are a bit better but IO speed crappy as always.

Hi BlueVM. I would like to order a BLUE4 Los Angeles California.
The order link provided does not list BLUE4.
It does list:
– KVM2 November – Buffalo, NY
– KVM3 November – Buffalo, NY
– BLUE0 – Los Angeles, CA (LS)
Did I miss out?
This kinda caught us by surprise, but they’re listed now… Merry Christmas!
Are these offers, not live yet? I dont see them on the page. Only KVM2 November – Buffalo, NY, KVM3 November – Buffalo, NY, and BLUE0 – Los Angeles, CA (LS) seem to be listed on the page.
This kinda caught us by surprise, but they’re listed now… Merry Christmas!
Already out of stock.
This kinda caught us by surprise, but they’re listed now… Merry Christmas!
whether BLUE4 still available?
I would like to note that the links are pointing to the KVM page.
The prices also appear to be incorrect.
Blue0.5 – 128MB OpenVZ @ $7.50/Year
Blue2 – 512MB OpenVZ @ $15/Year
Blue3 – 1024MB OpenVZ @ $25/Year
Blue4 – 2048MB OpenVZ @ $45/Year
This kinda caught us by surprise, but they’re listed now… Merry Christmas!
yes the stock says -1 and i think its already sold out!
That was fast…
This kinda caught us by surprise, but they’re listed now… Merry Christmas!
The stock says nothing about BLUE4, BLUE3, BLUE2, not even -1 nor 0.
Other special offers at least show -1 or 0 to show the offer actually existed.
That’s why I raised the first comment.
Apparently, the wrong links were in the ticket. I haven’t been provided new ones yet and I have visitors now. If I get the proper ones, I will update it when I can interrupt my Christmas activities.
Thanks Maarten, we updated our links… sorry for the confusion. We thought you were going to post sometime after Christmas, not during…. Merry Christmas!
Any promotional code ?
The promotion code is in the link! Merry Christmas!
Seems to be in stock now.
Which one is the most stable? I got moved to Dallas from Kansas location.
Too bad they closed Kansas location in sudden and without any notice.
I’m really enjoy free Direct Admin there. :)
Their Piscataway location seems to be one of their more stable locations. I’m quite partial to the Atlanta/Chicago/Dallas locations due to their low ping for myself.
Blue2 is showing as $50/yr not $15. Shows 11 available….
The price will show correct ($15) at the end of checkout since it is a price override.
This is correct.
From what I can tell @ all the coupon code being broken, it’s applied at checkout.
just finished the order BLUE2 on LA, fast activation. speed test results
awesome
Well, ordered this early today and paid immediately …. I’m still waiting on setup. Sort of assumed it would be instant setup, so I guess that was my bad. Sigh.
Do you happen to have an order number or a ticket ID? It should be instant setup…
Sure … ticket # is 255062 and is still unanswered, and the invoice # is 24472 … service is still showing as pending.
Looks like a colleague of mine already got to it before I did. Let us know if you need anything else…
just please View Ticket #482956
Its been 10 days my site is down and i dont get any good news!
1000000000% SUCK!
A quick update to everyone, the promo code works once you change the billing cycle to annually.
Ordered last night. Received emails but couldn’t log on to container through ssh.
Changed password through “Feather”. No good. Rebuilt server through “Feather”. Still no good.
Started ticket #305994 last night 12/26/2013 23:44
Still no response this morning 12/27/2013 08:52
I bought the yearly deal on blue 4 after getting burned by UGVPS. I hope this is just a blip because of the sale + holidays.
Jumped on the IRC channel and ticket was responded to ASAP! Thanks guys!
At the bottom of the response was this…
We would like to apologize for any delays you may experience with support as we currently have a large backlog of tickets.
I’m ok with this service. It’s a very good price and UNMANAGED and automated to the nth degree (and when automation throws a wrench in the works so a human has to fix…) so I get it. BUT, for those that don’t, the response to my ticket came at…
12/27/2013 10:50
That wraps up this review. I’m happy but some might not be.
Glad someone was able to assist you, please let us know if you need anything else…
Does anyone know is BlueVM owns their own servers or if they are a reseller of ChicagoVPS like some of the other providers? I’m trying to create a round robin type of backup/failover with my VPS’s so being on different servers is essential.
We own about 70% of our hardware… the remainder is on a RTO contract with ColoCrossing. We don’t share servers with anyone and we have our own SWIPs.
Just around 1month experience of BLUEVM
I have KVM4 in their Buffalo location.
I started with my KVM VPS around 15/11/2013.
In first week i experienced many downtimes, of more than 3 to 4 hours.
After this i submitted a ticket on 22/11/2013 with no 308448, that “WHENEVR I CHECK MY VPS IN 5 TO 6 HOURS GAP, I ALWAYS FIND MY VPS OFFLINE”.
Then same day, i was responded back that it will be rectified,
But till 30/11/2012 it was neither rectified, nor replied.
Than there response started coming, and i told them Downtime issue is still there and also performance wrt speeds are not that good,
SO FINALLY UPON REQUEST THEY SHIFTED ME TO NEW NODE ON 10/12/2013 which was S19 and earlier my node was S18.
Now again few problems came and honestly they resolved every problem on their IRC chat.
But still new node also have the same donwtime issue.
So i finally submitted a ticket on 25/12/2013 with no. 679373 asking them “VPS DOWNTIME IS STILL HIGH”, so upon request i was again shifted to new node, but it was the same node earlier on which my VPS was i.e my VPS have been shifted from S19 to S18.
Now i have requested them to please shift me any node where atleast my VPS runs stable for atleast a week and i am waiting for their reply.
I have no issue in even 2-3 downtimes in a month. But atleast for rest of the time VPS should run stably.
Finally i wants to write my personal reviews:
1) THEY ARE REALLY GOOD IN ATTITUDE WHILE THEY SOLVE THE PROBLEM IN EVERY ASPECT. SO SUPPORT IS NICE
2) BUT STILL THEIR NODES (on which my VPS was S18 and S19) ARE REALLY NOT THAT STABLE WHERE A CUSTOMER IS SATISFIED.
Hope nobody will take it personally.
I would like for somebody from owners of this company contact me … server is very slow I have requested couple of times to be transferred on a different node and nothing has been done.
Also login via SSH takes sometimes up to a minute, and I always have like thousands of failed login attempts according to the screen (after I log in).
Also right now, my VPS (Atlanta) is unavailable and in Feather CP it shows red circle and then when I try to start it it says “An unknown error occured, contact support!”
The problem with your SSH might be DNS or GSSAPIAuthentication. Try first setting UseDNS to no and if that does not work set GSSAPIAuthentication to no. I had this same issue with BlueVM and also with other servers. With those set to yes (the default) it can take a long time to login via SSH.
Bought two and regretted already. Crappy vendor. Horribly unprofessional and unpolite service.
Avoid!!!
I’ll give you $5 for each server! Oops I meant $0.5
I tried to place an order. Shopping cart just hung giving me a blank page three times. First time I thought it was because I started in private browsing mode. Second and third time, I had to go back a page or two and the click on the next link in the chain of steps. Got to the check-out area, and tried to pay with bit-pay. Got the email for the invoice. Looked at the services on the site and it said it was status: fraud and cancelled.
I guess my bitcoin is no good there.
Ticket ID: 337293
I would be glad if you can answer this ticket.
finally i have been shifted to a new node, seems stable and good.
Is the BlueVM site down? Can’t get the site to load & http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/bluevm.com also reports down.
The site isn’t down for me, but my vps is non responsive and I can’t get into the management panel.
Let’s be clear: BlueVM is offline extremely often (today again 5 hours), they don’t fix anything and they don’t answer tickets and if they do it takes them days.
Throw your money down the toilet because then at least you hear it plump.
I am also experiencing slow response to tickets.
I opened Ticket #762727 on 1/13/2014 and it is now 1/17/2014 and I have not had any response to my ticket.
I think I am going to find another provider.
Mine has been offline all day….
It is so cheap, what do you expect
yeah, you get what you pay for….mine has been down for over four days now….
This is getting bad. I would stay away from BlueVM. Their servers keep going down and people are waiting 4 days or more to get any response from their ticket system. My server has been down for 24 hours and no one has looked at my ticket.
Their IRC channel has been inaccessible at times too.
The support is very slow!
I was not able to access the VPS and I created a ticket, and they answered after 3 days asking me if is OK to recreate my VPS !? Now I hope that in 3 days they will recreate it :)!
They never fix atlanta server, VPS down almost everyday for 3-4 hours
Are you guys getting the “I hope to have informed you sufficiently” line (c) and ™ Ishaq?
one question, torrent is allowed?
Why my service is pending?
Please reply my ticket #542016
