Comfy Host – $6 128MB OpenVZ VPS

Tags: , , Date/Time: February 24, 2008 @ 11:52 pm, by LowEndAdmin
Updated April 2010: ComfyHost.com has been resolved to parking pages since March 2010. The domain itself has actually expired (which is a pity as domain being 6 years old). FAIL.

Comfy Host has some cheap VPS plans that fit into our low-end-box criteria. For $6/month you can get the following OpenVZ virtual server:

 • 128MB guaranteed memory
 • 256MB burstable memory
 • 10GB storage
 • 75GB monthly transfer
 • Los Angeles, CA servers

No info on which Linux distribution is available. As it offers CPanel so possible only CentOS is provided.

Update 2008-03-30: Comfy Host has raised the price to $10 so this VPS plan is no longer considered a “low end” — way too much memory anyway :)

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

 • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
 • Akismet is used for spam detection. Quoting webhostingtalk.com URL seems to get binned consistently here, but I do peek into the spam box frequently to publish those comments.
 • Use
...
to quote the output from your terminal/console, or consider using a pastebin service.
