Community News: RackNerd is Officially a Certified cPanel Partner

To continue LowEndBox’s new “interesting news” series, we recently received a new submission from Dustin B. Cisneros over at RackNerd to let us know that they’ve officially become a Certified cPanel Partner!

For those who need a refresher on who RackNerd is, RackNerd is a fan favorite among this community, and their offers have been featured here within the LowEndBox community many times. RackNerd was recently voted by the LowEndTalk community as the #1 Best Provider + #1 Most Professional Provider.

RackNerd is proud to announce that we have officially become certified as a cPanel Certified Partner! Chances are, you have heard of cPanel by now – it is one of the most popular web hosting control panels available today. RackNerd utilizes the cPanel/WHM control panel for its shared hosting and reseller hosting services.

The cPanel Certified Partner Program is a tier up from the NOC partner status. In cPanel’s own words, the purpose of the certified partner program is to “help shine a light on those Partners that have gone the extra mile to ensure that their employees and support staff have been trained to sell and support cPanel & WHM® software.”

Becoming an official cPanel certified partner is no easy feat — in order for a company to become eligible to apply as a Certified cPanel Partner, it must meet a minimum monthly spending requirement with cPanel, and a number of the company’s employees (system administrators) must enroll in courses within cPanel University. Each of those employees enrolled must not only attend the courses, but pass multiple exams in order to achieve a minimum of three certifications. In addition, certified cPanel partners are required to renew their certifications by taking the exams annually. Given the fact that our employees were already experienced with Linux servers and cPanel/WHM as a control panel, taking the courses was more of a refresher and our employees passed the exams with flying colors.

What does this mean for RackNerd customers?
