To continue LowEndBox’s new “interesting news” series, we recently received a submission from Dustin B. Cisneros over at RackNerd to feature yet another expansion of theirs!
They have expanded their cPanel based shared and reseller hosting services to Strasbourg, France. Interestingly enough (and probably for the better), they are not using the infamous OVH datacenter in Strasbourg. We were told that services deployed by RackNerd in this new location are provisioned out of the DataDock building in Strasbourg, and includes a BGP optimized blend consisting of Deutsche Telekom, Telia, Cogent, Level 3, with enhanced routes through DE-CIX and LINX peering. That should give some extra peace of mind to those who still have trauma over the recent series of events with the OVH Strasbourg datacenter, or at the very least, additional diversity (which is nice to see, since there are not many Strasbourg providers within the LowEndBox community that are using a different network than OVH).
Here is the announcement piece we received from them:
Not long ago, we announced our expansion to Frankfurt. Today, we are pleased to announce yet another exciting expansion! We have expanded our shared and reseller hosting product line to Strasbourg, France! In Strasbourg, we are located within the DataDock building and leverage a BGP optimized network blend consisting of Deutsche Telekom, Telia, Cogent, Level 3; additionally there is peering through DE-CIX and LINX.
During the order checkout process on any of the below promo’s, you will see the ability to choose the location you wish for your account to be deployed in, including our newest location Strasbourg.
Strasbourg is no stranger to the hosting industry; a myriad of major telecom and internet service providers (ISPs) have established roots in this region. Without a doubt it is a major hub whereby a substantial amount of internet traffic flows through daily. As RackNerd continues to cater service to those who desire unparalleled connectivity throughout Europe, our expansion to Strasbourg, France satisfies yet another piece of the puzzle and will provide significantly quantifiable value to our clients. We are seeing many clients realize the benefit of deploying infrastructure in multiple diverse locations, and we’re pleased to offer this location, giving clients yet another option to improve their position with their target audience.
We have more exciting news to share with the community within the coming weeks – stay tuned!
