FrapHost have been around since July 2012. We have listed FrapHost twice before. Since their last offer, FrapHost have launched some new high ram LEB plans in Las Vegas, Nevada. In Buffalo, their node is configured with the Intel Xeon E3-1240v2 w/HT and 4 SATA3 Drives in RAID-10. Their Las Vegas node is running the Dual Intel Xeon E5520 w/HT and has 72GB of RAM. In the past, FrapHost were active on hackforums but according to Bryson, they’re no longer active. Despite featuring on LEB in the past, I couldn’t find any reviews. If you’re a customer, please do share your experience below.

FrapHost accept payments via Paypal and Credit/Debit card. A 99% uptime guarantee is provided. Additional IPv4 address are charged at $3.95 per month. IPv6 is not available. Las Vegas is a stupid location I have to say I’m afraid. Why would one not just build an artificial city in the desert but then build datacenters etc. This is stupid from an ecological point of view.

My FHVS LV 1 host was provisioned with only 256MB RAM. And I could never connect to it even through FrapHost’s own web console.

I raised a support ticket with them and the problems were acknowledged and they said it had been fixed (according to Bryson). Neither problem had been fixed.

Another agent then came back to me saying the problem was still confirmed and being looked in to but not time frame was given for a fix.

I asked for a refund at this point, and Bryson gave me one, minus the Paylpal transaction fee. This outcome is fair enough I guess – I’ll wear the responsibility for buying from someone that states no refund policy on their site.

  9. Let me explain, your server was provisioned having this solusvm error, the VM you have ordered is being provisioned with only 256mb of RAM, this seem(s/ed) to be an ID value error that causes the API to go wrong. (We have raised this concern to solusvm and status is currently on ‘management review’)

At the time I have replied to your ticket saying the RAM allocation was fixed – true it was, but then little did I know that Christian (our tech) rebuilt your server then came back the RAM allocation error. As per the connecting error, apparently something in the IP you were assigned to went wrong, i tried to move you to another IP and it worked.

I was supposed to explain this to you but since you requested your money back i felt like there is already no need to. We have a satisfaction guarantee and the refund covers it.

  11. From my suggest, FrapHost should remove “live chat button” on header, because it will redirect to a contact form, not “live” help :)

    • We are actually in the process of integrating a livechat to our website, if it does not push through then we will be removing the button. Thank you for your suggestion.

    • The site is legit. I bought the LV 2. They contacted quite fast at night for me (EST) and said they could install a linux disto that I want on the server. Once that is done I will be fully happy. I am already happy with the specs, however. $7 for this VPS is amazing!
