HostMist – $11.85/Quarter 128MB OpenVZ VPS in Dallas

HostMist Matthew from HostMist emailed me their special discount on the “Lightning” VPS, when you use promo code LEBROCKS and choose quarterly billing. $11.85/quarter after the discount (~$3.95/month), and here is the link to order it.

  • 128MB guaranteed/192MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 150GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Servers with Ubiquity in Dallas TX. Older generation E5405 boxes with 12GB on the host. Interestingly their OpenVZ plans seem to be more expensive than their Germany based Xen VPS, from previous post and this WHT offer. Less oversold? Their domain has been registered since September 2008, been featured here on LowEndBox for more than a year, and has good reviews here over the last 6 months.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

  3. It’s true that their Xen plans in German is cheaper and maybe I will order one instead ;). But I am still wondering whether the spead is suitable for me since my visitors are mainly from U.S….
