Does this inner monologue sound familiar?
- “Wow, Black Friday is here! I probably have enough VPS systems, but it never looks to look….”
- “OMG, there’s an amazing deal with tons of resources at a cheap price.”
- “I’m sure I’ll find some use for it…or maybe I’ll consolidate a little…what the heck…”
- “Wow, there’s another deal. I can always cancel…”
…and now you have a dozen VMs, right?
That’s not a bad thing. I like to try out new hosts and sometimes you find gems that become the bedrock of your LowEndEmpire.
But if you a touch of buyer’s remorse…might I suggest passing them on to others?
I Don’t Want This VPS Any More
LowEndTalk is just the place to dispose of a Black Friday (or any other) extra. You’ve got a community of VM enthusiasts like yourself who love to snap up deals. I mean, you did, right?
Feel free to open a thread asking if someone wants to take your VM off your hands. Typically they pay the remainder of the term, or take over the monthly bill.
But first, be sure to check that the provider allows this. Not all providers allow transfers, and you can find this in their Terms of Service. If you can’t find a definitive statement, you should open a ticket and ask if transfers are allowed. Some providers may charge a fee for this, so you’ll want to have all the info.
Then you can get ready to gorge yourself next Black Friday…
