I’m happy to report it’s been working fine so far. I’d give you all a YABS but I installed OpenBSD. This however demonstrates that installing from ISO is an option.
They only offer virtio drivers, which OpenBSD supports. I’m running OpenBSD at BuyVM, who recommends e1000 drivers. However, I notice that Vultr also uses virtio.
One quick tip if you do a self-install instead of a template: don’t assume that your gateway is at .1. You should ticket in and ask.

I had to create an account to find out KVM Storage (1TB) is sold out?
Seems there is no support and statements on their website are lies “Standard – 1 to 3 hour resolution” means in reality no response after even 12 hours on simple issue, not even mention no resolution.
It seems that interserver is a scam operation. No response from support, no proposition how to resolve issue.
I ended up with funds taken by them, delivered services different that expected, eventually after cancellation, no services available at all and no refund.
Support does not respond to any requests.
Do not use them.
There is no way InterServer is a “scam operation” — are you sure you are following the correct procedure to reach their support department? InterServer is a large company that has been around for a long time.
I think, this is offer is not valid anymore. it only offer 10% instead of 50% on storage VPS. Thanks.
I ended up cancelling with them. Their support department is hard to work with. I dont even think they fully read their support tickets. My issue was with the free DirectAdmin license. They give you a license key using DirectAdmin’s old license key format instead of their new format. The old keys were a number with 5 – 6 digits, InterServer gives you. The new keys, which is required to do the DirectAdmin installation, is a long hash key now. I fully explained this in my ticket, including linking them to DirectAdmin’s site which explains the new licensing system, and they just sent a reply saying my key is valid. So no real support from InterServer.
