Welcome, KnownHost! They’re a very well known host (get it?) who’s been around since 2006. About 8 years ago I used them for a project and was very impressed by their service and professionalism. They’ve specialized in managed hosting, where they take responsibility for patching, backing up, and overseeing your system so you can focus on your site. This is white-glove service – 24x7x365 attention (phone or ticket) with a team of professional sysadmins who are always eyes-on-glass to watch over customer systems. So for users who need some hand-holding, they’re a fantastic place to park your systems.
But they also do unmanaged servers and their dedi offers look pretty tempting. Here’s a preview of what you’ll see below:
- Dual Xeon E5620 (2.4Ghz x 16) w/32GB RAM, 240GB SSD or 1TB HDD, 10TB transfer, 1gbps port, /29 ipv4, free DirectAdmin, IPMI – only $24.50/mo or $20.83/mo if paid yearly!
- Or get the same box with an E5645 (2.4Ghz x 24) for only $34.50/mo or $29.33/mo if paid yearly!
- Or if you want a fully managed dedi, they’ve got an E-2224 with 16GB of RAM for $141.65/mo (or $123.12/mo if paid yearly)!
Bonus: all these offers come with free DirectAdmin licenses and DDoS protection. These systems are available in Atlanta, Seattle, and Amsterdam.
This is their first post on LEB, so thanks for stopping by and knocking our socks off on your debut, KH!
Their WHOIS is public. You can find their TOS, AUP, and SLA on their website (note that their AUP does not allow hosting pornographic content). You can pay with Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, and ACH in the US.

Hi, I see it for $49, Am i Missing any coupon code?
Hi,
Looking to get Dual Intel Xeon E5620 (2.4GHz x 16) $25 dedi, Can I get 500 GB SSD? Please let me know the pricing.
All the dedi order links seems to go to the same “BB-1U-2C (Nov 28, 2020 – Dec 28, 2020)” with a price of $59.00 a month.
Nvm, missed the coupon. However! You are paying $10 extra for the CPU, which you cannot remove (only upgrade to a $20 cpu)
How to order server in Amsterdam?
For the first dedi is not $24.5 but $34.50
How do you select one of your other locations (Seattle).
Also the Dual Xeon E5620 isn’t showing up as an option
Definitely something wrong because thats’s not $24 with the coupon
Total Due Today:
$44.50
Total When Renewing:
1 Month @ $44.50
hmm, still : $44.50
It looks like a fake offer
Still can’t order for the advertised price
Also can’t order for the advertised price. The form charges for server and CPU separately. There is only one CPU on the dropdown so it is not possible to get the advertised price.
fake offer, prices are not as advertised.
no response from the company yet.
@admin you should take a note of this company.
Not the real price. It doesn’t even have the CPU options that are listed on this site. The one listed on their site is a Dual Intel Xeon E5-2630, which apparently is a $20+/mo upgrade. I don’t have to say this is BS.
it seems moderator(raindog308) is just giving free publicity to knownhost.
no word from raindog308 OR knownhost even after so many comments about this fake offer.
LEB will ruin his reputation with such fake offers.
From what the host told me a few days ago:
https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/168191/knownhost-huge-black-friday-deals-dedicated-32g-ram-24-5-mo-free-directadmin-ddos-protecion/p1
It sold out quickly. But they didn’t seem to put much care into this post to edit it appropriately.
I think they released this offer early on LowEndTalk and then sold out – next time, we’ll try to do better coordination, but it’s ultimately up to the provider how they want to release things.
I just checked and IT IS AVAILABLE AGAIN NOW. They have just been selling out quickly evidently. I got one the other day, after continuing to check on stock, and then it sold out again soon after I was able to place my order. But now they have it available again.
So far I’m very pleased. There were a couple hiccups in the setup; one was my fault, the other was not, but support responded lightning fast and fixed both, and they were very nice. When you go to place the order it will show a price of $49/month until you punch in the coupon code, which is plainly shown above on the offer. I paid for a year, which makes it $20.83/month!
All you bozos saying it’s a fake offer or scam or free publicity you need to have a little patience and give a company the benefit of the doubt, especially when it’s a limited quantity super deal AND the fault is yours for being late to the party or not having the patience to keep checking for the deal!
I’ve never used KnownHost before this, so I’m a new customer, and I have no complaints thus far. The server seems quite performant. Now obviously it isn’t a “screamin beast” or anything like that, but I’m currently paying $20/monthly for a nice 4GB 2 vCPU Linode, which is not an unfair price, and one core of this dedi handily outperforms the Linode—and I have 6 more cores and 28GB of RAM left over—for 83 cents more per month! :-D Soooo, I would easily say this deal, along with RackNerd’s super awesome VPSs were in my opinion the total dominators of Black Friday/Cyber Monday!
Fake comment. Offer do not exists
Lol you can think what you want but I got the server for the advertised price day before yesterday. I didn’t try to apply the coupon today, so it’s possible the deal was only for a few days. Idk. All I know is I got the server for the advertised price on Wednesday without me doing anything other than punching in the coupon code.
I just tried again to make the purchase.
Total Due Today: $499.80
Total When Renewing:1 Year @ $499.80
and when i try the coupon it says “The coupon could not be applied.”
I don’t know you managed to get it , maybe you had to say nice thing about them to get it :P . I’m trying to get it since 2 minutes after LEB upload .
Lets face it , it was a marketing trick .
I just tried now and the coupon code didn’t take, so it was evidently only through Wednesday or Thursday. But it did work Wednesday when I ordered. It was out of stock with the cheap CPU on Monday when I tried (it only was available with the $20/mo CPU upgrade), but the coupon still worked and cut the base price 50%. It was not a marketing trick, but maybe they just limited it to 10 units or something like that idk (which is legit and doesn’t make it a trick). But as someone else said, others on LET got the deal besides me.
As I mentioned before, I’ve never gotten anything from KnownHost in the past, so we’ll see how it goes, but so far I have been happy with the server and the support provided.
And no I’m not a shill and I don’t work for them or have any interest in them other than to let people know my experience on LEB. Most of my systems are with Serverpoint, Iniz, and lately RackNerd, all of which I have been very pleased with.
Looks like a good deal.
By the way, for anyone who comes back to read this, I still have my server with Knownhost, and have been very pleased. Downtime (scheduled) has been very minimal, and I think the server was only rebooted once since I have had it.
Thanks for sharing the update, RuhNet
Its a quite expensive for me. But I think its can be try in my business.
