SemoWeb - $6.50 256MB Managed OpenVZ VPS

SemoWeb Dustin from SemoWeb emailed me wishing to have his hosting company’s managed OpenVZ VPS listed on LowEndBox. Their plans start at $6.50/month (Direct order link here).

  • 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

Plans are fully managed. They also provided a test IP here: 67.23.245.2, which is in HostDime in Orlando FL. They have been around for 2 years (domain registered in April 2008). Although it claims to be fully managed I cannot seem to be able to find the list of services that is included in the management.

BE AWARE ABOUT SEMOWEB! BAD HOST! SCAM HOST! RESELLER OF OTHER PROVIDER!

They are using nulled WHMCS in past, and reseller of other master reseller provider. I know this guys personally very well. Suspended twice and they currently use vps, dont have any dedicated server…. If you dont want to be scam and put your money on the ponds, just stay away from semoweb – scam host !

    • Raj,

Im quite disappointed by your faulse comments.

Just to clarify we do not run ANY of our services off of VPS. We have dedicated servers at Iweb -CL and Interserver and we do provision our VPS out of the data center of HostDime.

We also never have nor never will use a nulled WHMCS you can verify here http://www.whmcs.com/members/verifydomain.php

Im unsure what exactly you have against us how ever im more than anxious to see proof that you have services with us or had.. Id love to see the screen shots as far as im concerned your just trying to ruin our reputation.

      Awaiting your reply.

What’s “Account security code” on your checkout page?

    • Hello,

We require 2 forms of security to each account for validation for phone support, live chat etc.. so if some ones calls on behalf of your account or if you call we request validation of such security codes or security questions before even speaking to them or you about account details or even touching the server, its just a security measure we implented.

    Dear All,

With all do respect, i met Dusten from semo web 7 months ago, and to be honest i had some doubts about him in the beginning, but after starting with him, let say that he has the best support team, also the best gentle way of doing and solving issues if there is any, also he is very friendly and very polite, and personally I would work with him for ever

    Best Regards

  7. I don’t know whether Raj’s comments are true, and definitely I will be cautious, but I liked the way in which Dustin responded to Raj – a nice and professional reply.

  8. How long since SemoWeb has been in business? No mention on LEB and they seem new here atleast.

SemoWeb is the biggest rip-off ever. They treat their customers like total crap, do not respond to support tickets and think it’s to delete someones services without asking them and for no valid reason. They should be avoided at all costs.
