NO BANDWIDTH!! They advertise 100Mb/s, and when you put a support ticket in, they will run a download form one of their other servers showing 100Mb/s, but if you run speedtest-cli, you see that there is no upload speed.
      Upload: 7.83 Mbits/s
      Upload: 15.41 Mbits/s
      Upload: 7.92 Mbits/s

The upload speed of your server is what is needed to be 100Mb/s. This is the speed that website visitors will be getting your data, and TmzVPS has major problems, and very shady practices with how they test your VPS connection speed.

    • The ticket was also confusing. It appears it meant cached.

“We have systems with SSD accelerated drives (not SSD drives).”

thats the clarification I got from tmzvps when contacted.

Not worth compared to ramnode offering.

Also they are running this fantastic offer on large deposits at the moment on WHT:

For 48 hours we are running a once in a lifetime promotion. Add credit to your tmzVPS account and we will either multiply it by 1.5 or double it (+ Double RAM)! The minimum you can add as credit is $150.00.

    For example:
    Add: $150 as credit X 1.5 = $225 ($75 is on US!!!)
    Add: $300 as credit X 1.5 = $450 ($150 is on US!!!)
    Add: $500 as credit X 1.5 = $750 ($250 is on US!!!)
    Add $650 as credit X 1.5 = $975 ($325 is on US!!!)

Now to get to the best deal:

Add: $850 as credit x 2 = $1700 (!!!!WE WILL DOUBLE YOUR AMOUNT!!!!) + DOUBLE THE RAM on the product you purchase!
All you have to do is login into your client area to add the funds:
    https://command.tmzvps.com/clientare…ction=addfunds

Promotion applies for EXISTING and NEW customers. For new customers, you must purchase a service first before you can add credit to your account.

After you add the credit, please e-mail sales@tmzvps.com so we can apply the promotion. Enjoy!

I do find it odd that Daniel is over here with a $7 offer, the way he goes on they certainly do not need the business at this level, then they have posted this over at WHT http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=8661373&postcount=2

All just suggests there is cashflow issue to me.

Ouch. I thought they had there own offices, and clients paying them $30k cheques. It did seem a bit puzzling though that my invoices numbers with them in 2 months had only increased by 540, which equates to 270 new invoices a month.

Can’t comment on that, but apparently from there positive and negative reviews, all large companies get a mix of both. I am monitoring the VPSs performance for now and will update you shortly.

    • We wouldn’t be here for 7 years if cash flow was an issue, don’t worry about that :).

  12. The email that was sent to LEB specified that these were SSD accelerated drives :). We have been in business for 7 years, I really don’t think we need to worry about cash flow, haha.

Thanks to everyone that has purchased this offer.

  13. I am seriously considering to buy this $7 offer. It is too mouthwatering. But the above comments by Mathew have put me in doubt. I briefly used a VPS from TMZVPS for a website i could never launch but at that time i remember i liked the VPS hardening they did before handing over the account details to me. I still might give it a try though. May be to initially set up a few less important websites.

    • Jeff,

Believe me we have had clients host Child Porn. It’s better to specify it and not have someone do it then to deal with it.

So how large are you, from the way you talk on WHT you have 1000’s of clients, yet only 270 invoices in a month?

      April 30, 2013 @ 1:08 pm | Reply
  18. You are still confusing the two :). Those are completely different invoice #’s. New orders are closed on TMZhosting because we only deal with business clients now – no more online orders there. It’s all paper invoices that are put into QuickBooks.

Thank you for being a TMZ Client :)
