Terii from Go-VPS-Go sent me a special offer for the LowEndBox readers, which is also posted here. It’s from their budget line — Xen VPS in Scranton (rather than their premium line in Kansas City). $7/month and you need to order it via this sign up link (Update: with coupon code BG30PER), which cannot be found on their website/WHMCS. This is the plan detail for “BGGo512Go”:
- 512MB memory/512MB swap
- 20GB storage (RAID10)
- 750GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- Xen PV
It differs from their premium line that it has currently no IPv6 connectivity — although I think Burst in Scranton is already equipped for that. It also comes with no management (whereas their premium line has “basic management”). It is good to see that they have updated their website, which was one of the biggest complain from their launch post here (despite being an odd complain about a hosting company). Terii is based in Austin and ran Elite Data Hosting before selling it to Server Logix. Go-VPS-Go is just over a month old.

Hi, please use code “BG30PER” to get $7.00 price. IPv6 is coming soon! :)
Just a minor nitpick about their website. Their list of features at the lower right include a number of items that have been marked with asterisks but yet there’s no references for those asterisks available. Kind of a annoyance.
The “fine prints” that’s too fine to be visible to the eyes?
Not sure where you’re looking as I don’t see anything.
You young people today with your…..
I’m torn on their ToS. It has some very good bits like describes how to be compliant with CAN-SPAM, something some hosts here have an issue with. But yet they have two separate sections on what you can use your space for. Minor issues as well such as they don’t define some items within the doc that I would have. MSA for example, whatever that is.
They offer a 7 day no questions asked refund policy which is good. They specifically state that they can’t refund for third party items like IP addresses. Nice to see that although since most hosts and providers buy their addresses in bulk, I don;t know if you can get away with calling that a 3rd party item. SSL certs I can see though.
Immediate account suspension or termination upon a Paypal dispute or chargeback. I personally don’t have a problem with that although some of the folks here who do one of these while staying with the host (or have a broken login for more time than Doctor Who calls a season now a days) may have.
This is my 3rd week with them and SSH is very quick and ultra responsive, running centos 5.6 32bit with kloxo, not much traffic yet this month with 1 site to develop on it, so far about 500 megs in bandwith.
No problems so far, and govpsgo do get in touch when there are DC issues, +1 for that, just a couple of minor Dc issues have happened. I am very fussy as regards performance and uptime, and so far govpsgo are excellent.
Thanks to sleddog for the script, its very usefull.
I am in accordance completely…
