LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
The website looks familiar….
Ahhhh…this one: http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/onedollarvps-3quarter-128mb-openvz-vps-in-uk/
There’s at least two other LEB hosts using this template.
if you want to get into legal, is that youtube video of a runescape private server?
I’m actually 19. I have been handling my business rather well and am in college for computer engineering. Do not let my youth be a down set to my products. I put just as much, if not more, effort into my services as my competitors. I stand behind my products and I have a team of support staff who help me ensure the product you receive is 100% reliable.
Also that YouTube account is in no way affiliated with Green River Web Hosts. I did not make this video nor do I run the server. The owner of the server uses a vps from another host to host the server and buys web hosting from me. The server is not hosted at Green River Web Hosts.
Maybe some template seller is offering nice price on this template..
I actually found the template for free and liked the capabilities. It’s easy for my clients to use and looks great. Therefore I don’t mind if a few other hosts use it. That’s the risk in using a free template. Especially one this nice.
Not sure if you should have admitted that here – Some users will frown upon you for using a free template.
Well then let them frown. As a small company I prefer to spend my money ensuring that my clients servers are running good and that there aren’t any problems. If there is a way to do something nice and free, let it happen. If someone really decides whether or not to but a server based upon whether a template is free or not, then they are missing out. The time and money I could have put into a template was instead put into insuring my clients were happy and stable.
@Chris: please get all the links in your comment correct first :)
Whats links are you speaking of 96mb?
I guess you have already noticed the issue when you sent out this comment, for some magic reasons all links in the comments on your name was pointing to http://greenriverwebhosts/ and all the comments after this one (including this one), is pointing to http://grwh.net/.
It is nice to correct mistakes, but asking questions like “Whats links are you speaking of” when you know what links I am referring to is not going to make you look any better :)
Actually I had no idea until I created the comment. I assumed you were talking of a link I had referenced. I apologize for the misunderstanding. Oddly I never changed it from http://grwh.net to http://greenriverwebhosts/. It must of automatically changed in one of my posts. But all is well now and thanks for notifying me.
Same template as http://www.freweb.com.au :P
Wow at least we used our logo and spent several hours integrating it with WHMCS and customizing it. The literally changed nothing except their name.
